The Finish line
A few days to any big event is sure to get even the most prepared person ruffled up. While different people would have different extent to which they get ruffled up, it still doesn't take away the fact that people get riled up.
It's really funny how the night before the big game or event intensifies all the what if questions one could ever ask. What if I fail? What if I disgrace myself? What if everyone starts laughing, how will I handle it? Most people even go as far as to ask what if I win, what will I do? Funny right?
As much as the mind is tensed about failing or not achieving what it wants to, there is still much tension in winning cos it opens one up to another phase one has to occupy and take charge and there's nothing harder than taking charge.
We all just need to cross that finish line in some areas of our lives cos if some things don't end there are others that can't start.
Imagine all racers in a race, squatting or bending, waiting for the sound of the gun shot to begin the race. Although the know that only one person will win the race, they all want to try. The gunshot is heard and the race begins with each of them trying their best to be the winner at the end. The inevitably of this situation we all know is that there must always be a last position. Sometimes, about 5 persons carry that position but they don't quit along the way, they run to that line called the finish line before they stop.
Others have things slower in life and the same life keeps tossing us all around and throwing things at us while we try to make it to the end of the road. What hurts more is seeing the line but not being able to access it cos of circumstances here and there but still we all try.
There are also folks who cannot hold on to the end but give up along the way most times not because they want to but because they can't take it anymore.
One can draw alot of morals form this article...
Things you think you have worse, there are always others worse than you.
The end of a thing is far better than the better than the beginning cos even though you might fail at the end, the journey has definitely taught you things you never knew, not until your started the journey itself.
I remember a song I liked during a certain phase in my life and it was titled "I need you". The song explained how no man is or should be an Island of himself that we all need one another to survive.
I know I started the article using a race as an example, but I like to think that life is far from a race cos no one should be competing with another. That being said, we should help each other get to the finish line cos together, we are more powerful.
