I've often heard people say "it's not over until it is over". Football lovers will definitely agree that they use this statement alot cos the remaining minutes for a football match to end are very crucial as both teams are trying their best to put the ball behind the net, almost as if they are using their last energy cos the final whistle is imminent.

A team could be losing 1 nil in the 90th minute and end up winning the match by scoring 2 goals with 3 mins added time. That's why I'm football, it's never over until it is over. Does the result always turn out to be unexpected like the above scenario? Definitely not! A losing team might still end up losing even at the end of the match.

A lot of phrases like the above mentioned exist and are used by people often, but I've come to notice that some are often misused or used to support claims that do not match.

For instance, a woman finds out her supposed boyfriend is a husband to another woman and father of 2 kids. The best thing for her to do is walk away and avoid all the drama but she can decide to stay because the man loves her and begin to fight, fight and fight, after all it's not over until it is over.

It is not wrong to have faith but faith placed on the wrong things or ideas is simply just a waste of faith. It's like a man having faith that a chicken will fly. It's is abnormal, has never happened and will possibly never happen(I'm using possibly because strange this happen everyday😁)

Whilst there are many factors that are responsible for the decisions that people take, it is better to consider all options and go with the best one that brings the most favourable result instead of blindly holding on to things that are bound to fail in the end.

Every man whether great or small at every point in our life each have a quest at hand. Just as we're distinct in looks and attributes as no two people are ever completely alike, so also we need to have this knowledge about when to stop and continue.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that the statement "it's not over until it is over" does not apply for all problems. Some things need to be allowed to end before they end themselves. Humans always want to wait, thinking that a certain miracle would happen along the way before the end comes, when they can clearly see that whatsoever it is should have ended a long time ago.

It's almost as if we are programmed and wired to wait until we are about to be hurt to respond, when we could have avoided it all in the first place.

There are situations that require great belief that it is not over and in those times we should fight till the very end.

Which brings me to say, proper understanding of whatsoever motivational speech we use is needed so we don't end up making mistakes that we can't take back.

We many times mix up some sayings, we use them wrongly just because we want them to fit in perfectly into our story while we are doing what's wrong.

"It is not over until it is" doesn't apply to every situation just like you have said. Happy new month.
