My Fascination on Buildings Innovations #201
Meyzee and the Tanks
I will forever be amazed with the innovations of buildings from history. What wowed me more is how people, through hardships discovers a lot of easiest ways to keep us from the advancement and privileges of what we are enjoying right now. If not from them all of the things we have now would be hard, imagine yourself pooping in the latrines now. See, you can’t even imagine. I will always be thankful for the one who invented the flush toilet. Hands up! Head down! You’re the master! I salute you, Sir John Harington, English courtier and Godson of Queen Elizabeth I!
Well, that is not the topic here by the way. If you are liking my amazement through building innovations. I recommend to fasten your stomach because there will be more, poop topic to go. 🤮 LOL not really. But yeah really. Btw, I inserted here a drawing of latrines, if you haven’t encountered one. What do you think about pooping at latrines? I bet you prefer to talked about Satoshi Nakamoto more than poop mo to (tae mo, I mean, your poop). Lol. Haha
Latrines are exquisite.
Moving on. Let me tell you a story about little Meyzee, how she has been amazed about these tanks, from above the land. She lives in a far far away land, away from the city. She grew up besides the river and near the rice fields. Her mother is a striving woman, who works so hard just to send her children off to school, to make her children what they are right now. So in order for the Mother to work, little Meyzee had to go everywhere her Mother goes. Her Mother works to a retail shop (when she was 3 to 5) that sells necessity from home, such as beds, hangers, and etc. By selling items such this, her Mother needs to travel from place to place and offers these items from house to house. Excited as a kid with these adventures, little Meyzee was amazed, she looked at everything, memorizing things she never seen at home. And growing up in the urban areas, she had never seen a tank above the land. Why? She lives besides a clean river, river by means, they never had a problem with water, she even learned swimming by means of rivers. And other places, which she now come to knew never had the privileges she had when she was a kid.
By the amazement of a little Meyzee she asked a lot of questions!
WHY IS THE TANK ABOVE THE LAND AND WHAT IS INSIDE THESE TANKS?
Everyday we need adequate and enough supply of water to consume and by storing them is one of the solution to avoid the scarcity of water.
Inside these tanks are water. This tanks are called water tanks, serves as storing water extracting from the land or coming from the water supply from the main source of water e.g. Dams, Reservoir and in Philippines one of the water supply comes from MWSS. It is above the land mainly because to easily regulate and distribute the flow of water by means of gravity. These water provides supply into different needs of the people, it can be to domestic used, industrials, irrigation and many more.
What did little Meyzee saw? Tanks in the Middle of Rice field. :)
DO WE HAVE TANKS BELOW THE GROUND TOO?
Yes we do have. These tanks are called Cistern Tanks. These tanks are most popular to tower buildings and schools or it can be on your house. These tank can be domestic or fire water tanks.
WHY CAN'T I SEE TANKS ON TALL BUILDINGS?
How can water travel to 50th floor? Well, this might require a new papers to discuss. But to summarize up quickly. These tall buildings has big pipes hidden insides its core walls or there is a water meter room from each floor. Also installed below the buildings are Domestic tanks that serves as storage and there were mechanical machines, such as pumps that put pressure to pump up the water to 50th floor. (Not only on trading and cryptocurrency has a pump, If I am not wrong pump was originally based from these. Even faucets Lol. I really think that Satoshi is a plumber :)) Other buildings also has big cistern tanks above the tower, enough to supply each rooms for each floor during peak hours. Sadly I had erase all my photos of these.
To summarize it all..
This is a very broad topic but I don't think I can share all in one article. Of how these thanks being filled and why are these tanks do not get empty or full. But I can say to all the tanks I have seen before, your now on my article, thank you for amusing me.
I hope you have learned something to a little Meyzee. If you want to make a race to a swimmer Meyzee you can always ask. She can dive deeper only on 8ft to 10ft deep sea or water level. Stays up half the day with the sea and the sun or even a whole day. She just miss the beach, hoping she can finally go home this summer. So she can tour you around her hometown. :)
Ps. So the little Meyzee can't sleep without leaving a question, have you done something incredible to the environment that will benefit the future kids and that will inspire future kids to innovate the world without taking advantage of the nature or not taking them from granted? I have not! And i wanted to. ;)
Thanks for reading!

Facts!
Most cities and towns are near the river banks!
Very funny your drawing and always you with your ideas! 🤣. And thanks to you now I can't help but think that Satoshis is a plumber! LOL 🤣. And I have not done anything for the environment, the most I have is a punch bowl where I have oregano and mint plants but only that ...
