Living alone is freedom and living with parents is security and comfort. Are you living with your parents? Or are you living alone? Both have pros and cons and lemme discuss it further based on what I have experienced.

When it comes to food

Whenever your at home you won't fail a single meal and the foods comes handy. Parent's tend to secure the food above else, they will keep on saying and remind you to eat whenever you're hungry. It is also important to them not to skip a meal as it may result to ulcer. When eating at home you feel secured because the food at home are mostly home cooked and you know too well that it is clean. And food at home are healthy and delicious.

When you're living alone, specially when you are starting to become independent, you don't know how to cook or don't have time and you have limited funds, the results are, either you bought on fast food stores, or having to reheat the canned goods and or cook cup noodles or dried noodles. When you're alone you like instant foods. And before knowing it all how to live the life alone, you have to endure first having an unhealthy lifestyle. And I say living with the parents in terms of food meal is a yes yes. But we all know we cannot depend on them all the time. When you are alone you learn to cook in order to survive. Thus, developing the hidden cook inside you.

When you are sick.

Living with parents

When you are sick and you're living at your parents, you are pampered and our parents are really there to attend and check our temperature from time to time. They cook for us, let us rest to make our body relax. Though you have drink the recommended medicine, they still make you this stuff they learned when they were a kid. And magically they really works out fine.

Living alone

Its a bit depressing to know that you are sick and you are alone in the house and your parents are far away. Cons are; (a) no one would come with you on check ups (b) you need to cook for yourself, glad, porridge can already be ordered online (c) you're the one who'll buy your medicine. Pros (a) you'll be more stronger than before. And you'll be more careful in order not to catch cold again! We'll that happens to me. I did got sick and I was really worried. I don't know how to attend sick people specially myself. (b) you'll know how to attend the sick and you are now capable of taking care one when one of your friends need help.

Spending the night out

Living with parents

We all know how very protective our parents are. I can still remember my college days when they still come to pick me up during overnights when we have a project to do, though its overnight!. And also parents really want you to go home on time, and when you aren't home yet they would freak out. But I kind of missed those times. Lels. Someone waiting for you to come home. During college, when I am not home yet by 6pm and I had no late class, my mother would blabber a lot of words, like if I went to a date, and such. In my thoughts "Seriously? You think your daughter is capable of that? Haha" Char. Well yah, thats how they were. They are still has control over the time you spend outside specially on nights.

Living alone

No one will blabber to you when you got home. No one is waiting for you to come home, though thats a bit of an advantage because you're at ease on the seat. You can enjoy the night without having to think that someone will look for you. No guilty thoughts. You can choose the time you'll be home.

Closing Thoughts

Though living in parents is much more advantageous, comfortable and secure. Living alone has a positive impact in your well-being it could make you strong in times of trial and will make you more even responsible. You would know how far you could go without having to depend on your parents. And you will learn a lot of things. Like if you don't know how to cook, you can slowly learn and achieve your own recipe of Menudo with many sauce! :D When you start being independent a lot of perspective would change, the world will be more wider and you'll be more excited to hunt the hidden treasure from its wonder.

I know there's still a lot of things that I haven't included here yet! You might wanna add and create your own version! Here are the three things I have encountered and learned.

And thank you for reading my article!

Do not know how is your thinking but whenever i live in hostel then i miss home and whenever come home then i miss hostel.. But mostly time i love hostel life as i am not yet in job.. Family living is blessing that everyone can not have but for boys living with family is hard as every time they have extra tensions than girls so boys usually try to stay away from home to established their life..

I moved out in 2018. I feel like I'm all independent now but there's still nothing like home as if you're gonna look for it in every corner of your room but you can't find it unless you go back to your parent's house.

I live without my parents. I moved out nearly 20 years ago. I live in a different country for 14 years now. It is always nice to see my parents and I can't wait to go home. Have not been home for a long time about 4 years.
