In a year, there are 365.25 days.

In a year, there are 52.178 weeks, so roughly 261 weekdays and 104 weekend-days.

According to the Hungarian law, the average worker is entitled to at least 20 days of paid vacation per a year (more if they're older), atop ~10 government-mandated so-called "red-letter holidays" (Christmas, Easter, various anneversaries, etc.).

This all equates to the average Hungarian adult working roughly ~230 days a year.

In contrast to that, the average Hungarian schoolkid goes to school ~180 days a year.

Medieval peasants worked less than 150 days a year, with over 215 church-mandated holidays.

With that being said, I would still rather work 230 days at my current job, than 150 days at my previous job. Yes, it was THAT bad, and I'm eternally thankful for being rescued from that trainwreck of a sinking ship.
