Sajek Valley
Sajek Valley is a famous tourist destination in Sajek Union, Baghaichhari Upazila, Rangamati District, Bangladesh.It is located just north of Rangamati, the Sajek Valley has two neighborhoods - Ruilui and Kanlak. Founded in 1885, Ruilui Para is located at an altitude of 1,720 feet. Kanlak Para is located at an altitude of 1,800 feet. Sajak Valley is also known as "Rangamati Roof".
Sajek is mainly inhabited by the Lusai, Pangkhoa and Tripura tribes. The name Sajek Valley is derived from the Sajek River which originates from the Karnafuli River.
Natural beauty:
Clouds, mountains and green everywhere in Sajek. Sunrise and sunset can be seen from here. You can trek from Ruilui Para in Sajek to Kanlak Hill. Kanlak is the highest peak of Sajak. On the way to Kangla, one can see the great hills of the Mizoram border, the way of life of the tribals, and the clouds all around.
Shiva temple:
This ancient Shiva temple is located on the right hand side of the entrance to Sajek. Basically, the temple is known as Ruilui Para Shiva Temple.
All in all, Sajek is a land of great beauty. When you come here, you can get rid of the noise of the city and get peace of mind.
