An Epic Fail Birthday Surprise to Mommy

Happy Friday dreamers! Another weekend yipiee! How's everyone here and how's the weather in your area? I heard that it rains a lot to some areas. I hope that everyone is still doing fine and still able to be productive somehow.

The whole house is so busy somehow because today is our Mommy Divine's 48th birthday. She is my auntie but we call her Mommy since she is the one who take care to us here in Manila. Without bias, she is the sweetest among all of our aunts. She is also vocal and everytime we achieve something in school, she is the one who always say that she is proud of us and she loves to kiss and hugs us even we are already an adults. And what I love about her is, she loves to treat us everytime she get her salaries.

Actually we don't prepared a lot of foods or invites visitors. As much as we want to but she really don't like to have a celebration or to be crowded to a lot of folks. But of course we want to make this day special somehow. So we plan to have a small birthday surprise for her. We disseminate different task to everyone. I'm the one who is assigned to buy a cake and do a diy cake. Some of my cousins is the one who prepares for the decorations and other stuffs. We talked about it last week and poor me because yesterday, I didn't realize that it is already November 17. Ohh shocks so, I make the diy cake but holla, my candies is not enough so I asked someone to buy it for me. And guess what? I'm asking the birthday celebrant to buy some candies for me. She hesitate at first because she knows that I'm not a fan of sweets but I said that it is for our nephews since he throws tantrums last night. I think she somehow convince on my alibi hahha.

Then our other Aunt who prepares for the food went to market but unfortunately, the celebrant wants to accompany her. So ending, she discovered that our Aunt will buy chicken and ingredients for pancit. I know from that point, she already know that we have a little surprise for her. Little did we know, our nephews already spoiled everything to our Aunt. They already said to her that they are practicing the Happy Birthday song for her. Then one of them even said " Aunt, we have a surprise to you but it's a secret shhh". So it's already failed at the beginning hahah.

But the exciting part turns into embarassing scenario earlier. We really thought that her out from work is 8AM but her boss allow her to out at 6AM. So when she comes home, we are still sleeping and she already saw the set up downstairs haha. Then she immediately go to our room to sing Happy Birthday song. We were surprise then we all just laughed because of that happenings haha. The she told us everything, that she already know everything haha. I guess even it is an epic fail, we still make her feel special today hihi.

I only have one wish for her, it is to achieve a peace of mind. Since her work is so stressful and demanding so lately, it is hard for her to have some time for herself. She works for about 16 hours a day and sometimes their company didn't pay their overtime. It is just they do some charity work for the company. She really wants to quit on that job but she can't since she still have 2 kids who are still students and she thinks that it would be difficult for her to find another job since she is already 40s. That's why I'm praying that despite on that kind of work environment, she can still able to attain peace of mind.
