Most of us may see this as something very small and insignificant and you may think that it doesn't matter in Nature's existence, maybe you think that it's just there because it has always been there and maybe you'll be like "Who cares about a bunch of Ants?, After all, we all have insecticides at home to kill them once in sight and some of may try to use our bare hands. But, have you ever stopped for once to ask yourself what roll do these creatures have to play in Nature's existence and what they have to offer Because Nature cares about a bunch of Ants and you will do well to remember what we discussed in my last article that "Nature involves the very existence of every living thing in the Cosmos" no matter big or small, but then, the ant is an insect of many species and of course, a living thing and there are lots of things that we humans can copy and learn from this fascinating creature besides it's Nature of being small.
The Ant, as one of the most smallest creatures in the world is remarkably known for it's ability to coordinate themselves without fault in aiming towards a common goal. The Nature of the Ant, despite being small is so fascinating to comprehend because without been told, they do the right things at the right time, they do not procastinate or give up towards a common goal. Let me tell you a story about something I witness about this creature.
I was at home on a particular evening and decided go for a walk. Passing the back corridor, I stepped on a cockroach and went inside to bring something to clean it up and for some reason, I was delayed but by the time I got back to clean it up, I saw a group of Ants trying to carry this dead cockroach into their ant hole but this cockroach was to big to fit in. They left it for sometime just moving around it and I just waited to see what they would do next, and then, they came back and regrouped and I don't know how but they started cutting this cockroach into bits and carried it's bits one after the other so that they can fit into their ant hole. What a stunning act. I then was marveled because I learnt that day that the ant doesn't give up no matter how big or small the problem or task at hand is.
They are small but they are also strong and we should cultivate that spirit of never giving up until that goal we pursue is achieved.
And there's also one more important thing that we need to learn from the Ants and that's "Saving". The Ant also has this remarkable habit of gathering and saving food in the summer season in preparation awaiting the winter season. See?, Another fascinating habit and culture that this creature possesses. They don't starve during the winter season because they have prepared and will always prepare towards it because that's how they are created.
Saving is a moral habit and culture that every human being should possess in order to prepare for what's ahead of us. We shouldn't squander all of our income as soon as we receive it but keep aside a reasonable portion of it, for it could be used for something important in time to come and not saving up anything at all for times like that would render you empty and unprepared for your own future.
Let me share 2 principles of saving that'll help you to save up;
1.Never say your income is too small or say it's not enough because that is what would deceive you into using all of it and make your pockets empty. Always try as much as possible to encourage yourself to save up something from your income, no matter how small.
2.Do not allow what you spend to be above what you earn. If allowed, this might end you up in something unpredictable.
The Ant is small but not foolish, it is small but not weak and they don't allow anything to get in their way and so should you.
We all should learn from this creature and become better people because you are worth more than the Ants.
