Today I don't feel like doing anything. Pero di pwede 😂
@Marts in April 2021
How are you spending your Holy Week?
a real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out
Rest when you're weary. Refresh and renew yourself, your body, your mind, your spirit. Then get back to work. We can do this!
New blog post! This time on my personal blog :) https://martsvalenzuela.com/conflict-resolution-skills-to-secure-your-relationships/
I bought a Chromecast and apparently it is just a rip-off, an imitation. I tried working on it, calibrating, and connecting it to our TV but what it does is just mirror my phone. I'm still assessing if it's a waste of money or not. Haha Do you have any recent purchase that you think is not worth it?
Being a Tourist in My Own Hometown One of my favorite forms of exercise is walking. Well, I only have a few physical activities that I am fond of - biking, hiking, and walking. I am not into contact sports and the only game I participate in during sports fests are chess and Games of the Generals - both I am not even good at. Well, technically you can deduce that I am not sporty. I would rather spend time reading, watching movies, or sleeping than playing basketball or…
Have you ever been a tourist in your own town or city? In this blog post, I shared about some of the best spots in my city. I learn to appreciate these places especially during this pandemic because of how it helped me in getting ahold of my mental health. Read my blog: https://read.cash/@Marts/being-a-tourist-in-my-own-hometown-ea4be718
Am now watching X Men Dark Phoenix and I just wonder how the MCU will fit in their storyline their newly acquired characters. I grew up watching XMen more than any other Marvel characters so I feel excited for the years to come. Looking forward to return to big screen entertainment!
I really miss travelling. Good thing even in the midst of pandemic there are quick getaways in the metro. This is my first time boarding a river ferry along Pasig River and its a great experience. Not to mention that it's free! The one in the picture is the cityscapes in Rockwell, Makati.
It is difficult not to hate the character of USAgent aka new Captain America John Walker. We became so invested with Steve Rogers. We loved his character and grit and patriotism. So when someone easily takes the mantle from him like it's something of a trophy, as fans we get angry. But no matter how much we hate John Walker, let us not hate Wyatt Russel. He's just an actor. Let us separate the actor from the character. He's an amazing actor, and our hate justifies it. But…
During the first few days of ECQ season 2, I watched the DC Animated Movies, and I just finished the 4th from the list. BTW I'm following the lists from Quora. Hmm what I can say about DC movies is that the animated ones hits differently. The live action tries to imitate the MCU formula but should they stick with the storytelling from their animated movies, they'll capture a different, more mature audience. Leave the bloodless, child-friendly style to MCU. DC should embrace…
You are not a disappointment. Things may be difficult right now. You look back at your choices and mentally listed all your could haves and should haves. You feel sad. You feel frustrated. You may even feel like you are a loser. But don't be. We all stumble and fall sometimes. We all make mistakes. We lose. But we are not losers. The race is not finished yet. We can still push through. We can still fight through. You may feel disappointed but you are not a disappointment.…
Don't Be Just A Goal-Setter, Be a Goal-Getter! Almost every month I read about goals and updates from interesting users here in read.cash. I am energized and motivated to see that what they have planned at one point, they are realizing at another point in time. Reading their posts makes me feel like I am given a front-row seat from their story - be it a story of success or continuing work towards it. I'm blessed to be a part of the thriving community of awesome bloggers of…
Posted a new blog! https://read.cash/@Marts/dont-be-just-a-goal-setter-be-a-goal-getter-1c813d6c It took me until 1:30am to finish this one because I was so pumped up I don't want to sleep without posting it. In fact I was able to finish 2 blog posts last night. One was posted on my personal site. I'm so hyped up!
I can still remember how silent our previous Holy Weeks were. There were no TV programs, no social media, no reruns of teledrama. What we have then was silence - a time to pause and reflect. But now that I grew up and matured, I learned that silence begins from the heart in tune with the Lord. It is not, and should not be dependent upon the environment. We can choose to be silent and at rest even in the midst of chaos and noise. #MyTwoCents
I miss going outside - going to the mall, swiming at the beach, walking in the park. But my heart goes to the children and the senior citizens who are forced to stay at home at the onset of the strictest lockdowns. For sure they miss the outside world more than I do. Hope this pandemic will end soon.
We'll never know what a person is capable of doing unless we give them the platform where they can shine. It's easy to say we believe in what they can do but we insist on doing things ourselves while keeping them on the sidelines. If we really believe in people, we should empower them.
Why Bitcoin Cash? Because it offers opportunity for the masses. It's not just for the rich. It is crypto for everyone. It is the currency we need - for the people, by the people. It empowers. #BitcoinCash
I hate people with double standards, especially when it comes to social status. When the rich are given preferential treatment, given favors while the ordinary people are often ignored and treated as nobody. It's a sad reality. People will treat you according to how much wealth is in your possession.
When you try your best to spark a conversation or solicit some opinion but all you ever receive are: Done s back 🌹 Wow 🤦♂️🤷♂️🙅♂️
This pandemic forces us to think outside the box. If we are not willing to grow, we'll miss out a lot. This is a turning point in our generation. After this we'll recall events as pre-pandemic and after pandemic. Let us grow stronger, wiser, and prepared for days to come! We're all in this together.
After the update I guess those who just onboarded to leech the system will immediately leave the platform. Those who are genuine will keep on providing quality content. Those who want to stay will be more conscious with what they post.
Is there a chance that these spammers are bots programmed to leech the system? I don't know anything about computer systems and programming other than basic MS functions and the internet but even after the update they still spam as if nothing happened. It's either: 1. They don't know what's going on 2. They don't understand the update 3. They don't even care at all What do you think guys? 🤔
If you're familiar with writer's block, you should be familiar with its opposite, and I call it "the flow". It is a treasured moment for any writer because everything just flows and you can't help but write your ideas else you will lose the moment. I love being "in the flow" because I write faster and lengthier. But sometimes, being in the flow for longer hours mean sleeplessness and physical tiredness because I want to squeeze every inch of inspiration.
Spam is Good But Only as Food: My Take on noise.cash's Recent Update I'm sorry, I'm just trying to be witty with my title. But in case you have been active in noise.cash lately, the admin and moderators have released a new update which turned the whole system into an ***uproar***. Perhaps it's an exaggeration but you get my point. It is about the issue of eligibility. Two days ago, noise.cash "**noised**" about users who post low-quality content. `Note: I believe we should…
Quality content is something that adds value. It provokes your thinking, makes you wonder, adds insight, teaches you, corrects your wrong notions, stimulates you. It can also be entertaining. Don't fret because your posts were tagged as low-quality. Nothing beats personal stories. Start with that. It doesn't have to be spectacular. Just be yourself. And be confident. Your story is unique and can never be negated. You hold your own pen.
If we're going to err, it's better to err on the side of caution. There is nothing wrong with being over-reacting when it comes to precaution due to the virus. Sanitize, wear mask, distance yourself even when it seems unreasonable and too much. You're doing yourself a favor and you're extending the life of the most vulnerable ones by doing so.
Just finished watching The Chosen's livestream of Season 2 Episode 1 and huhu it hit right on the feels! I can't wait for the release of the next episodes. As usual, episodes gave me goosebumps and tears 😭
Am rewatching Thor: Ragnarok while doing some office stuff at home. It's fun laughing at the jokes I didn't quite get the first time I watched the movie. Haha. I love the references and call backs :) and the humor. Compared to the previous Thor movies, this one is way better. Looking forward to Love and Thunder.
One thing I love about noise is it's lack of toxic people. (Well, aside from spammers, but they are different case altogether.) Here in noise, I seldom read about politics, cancel culture, toxic fanbase, etc. What I often read about are positive quotes, recipes, pictures of pets, mountains and seas. Just make sure to add some flavor and narrative to make it substantial 😂
Before you speak ill of someone and give an unsolicited comment about his actions, make sure you know how it feels like to be in his shoes. We're living in trying times and rather than being harsh, let's extend a helping hand. Rather than being rude, lighten up someone's mood.
If you haven't heard Michael V's newest song parody, you better check it now on his YouTube Channel, Bitoys' Story. Title: Essential Lang. Just a teaser: it's about the viral essential "lugaw" issue mashed up with Eheads. It's a total LSS, a typical Michael V parody Filipinos used to love 😉
Apparently, it's my 10th year Twitter-versary. It's been a decade already? I don't even remember any significant things I've done in twitter except following Aldub back then lol. Now imagine if those 10 years will be spent in noise.cash instead 🤔
Money Doesn't Grow on Trees: Financial Values I Live By As a child, I have read in various stories that money doesn't grow on trees. Of course, they don't! Even a child knows about that! Until I grew up, graduated, and learned a bit about financial management and accounting, still, authors and financial gurus are keen on reminding people that money doesn't grow on trees. As an employee trying to earn a living and facing the realities of life, I now realize what those words…
Done with my latest read.cash post! Just visit me @Marts I'm really loving this flow recently. Is it because of me being a night owl lately? Or because I don't have anything to do the whole day so I have the energy and creative juices to write? Ahh basta. I just hope I'll be spared from writer's block muna. Let me maximize this whole ECQ.
Morning coffee is the best. It wakes me up and energizes my mind and body. It signals new exploits for the day. It lightens the mood. Plus it doesn't judge you whether you sleep too much or too little. Coffee is friend 😅
This is my spitz, Dolly. She lives for two things: to sleep, and to lick. Plus her tongue is often out. Did I mention that she also loves coffee? She seldom drinks water but when it comes to coffee, she'll have it anytime of the day. Isn't she adorable? :)
Just in case you haven't read my recent post, here it is: https://read.cash/@Marts/money-doesnt-grow-on-trees-financial-values-i-live-by-3e91f945 If we are not wise with our hard-earned money, we'll lose it easily and our hardwork and sacrifices will be in vain. I don't want that. I treasure every bit of effort I exert to earn, especially now that we are on a pandemic and recession is looming. Be wise and proactive.
I miss being this close to nature - going up on hiking, participating in tree planting activities and tiring yourself until your feet and legs sore from climbs and walks. The most rewarding part is when you can feel the fresh breeze we seldom experience in the metro. If you haven't experienced hiking before, I encourage you to do so when this pandemic and lockdown eases.
I admire people who knows how to pick the right angle, compose the right position for their pictures. If there's a skill I'd love to have in addition to my skillset, it's the ability to take stunning photos. But all I can rely on is the assistive grid on my camera and natural lights. Perhaps when finances and time permits, I'd love to take photography lessons.
Good news: I was able to incorporate a Donate BCH widget on my website yay! You may check it at martsvalenzuela.com (and donate if you like haha! Any amount will do *wink wink*). I used PayButton.org's widget generator. It is an awesome experience, and already tested the widget. It's transfers directly to my wallet. Bad news: I tried to incorporate a BCH payment channel (on top of GrabPay, GCash, Paypal and other payment platforms) for my ebooks but apparently the available…
My package has arrived! A new book yay! An addition to my collection of unread books lol. Tsundoku 😂 Will open and read it later :) I'm thinking of creating a chamber for book lovers and readers here. I'll work on it later 💭
But what is grief if not love persevering? - Vision Only when I rewatched the whole season of WandaVision I understood what Vision is trying to tell Wanda in one of its bittersweet episode. We grieve because we love, and our love perseveres even when the object of our love is gone. My heart goes to people who lose loved ones, especially during these trying times. Our Facebook feeds slowly turn into online obituaries, and it's heartbreaking. Sending virtual hugs. We're all in…
I've been wanting to watch Cabin in the Woods eversince. But after finishing the movie a while ago, I was like, "yun na yun?" Am I too dense at di ko lang talaga naintindihan? Hahaha
A neat trick I learned way back and just applied recently: when someone on social media irks you and sucks all things positive out of you, unfollow them, or better yet block them. You don't want your best days be ruined by unsolicited comments and unreasonable arguments. Spare yourself from being annoyed when it is within your capacity to shut them off - at least virtually. Your newsfeed, your peace. An alternative approach to sanity is to stay away from toxic social media…
Hi! Welcome to OnlineBookClub chamber. I created this as a healthy community of book lovers, readers and hoarders. Feel free to share your bookfies, book recos, quotations from your favorite books and authors, and questions. Everything about books! Let's respect each other. No racial slurs, no derogatory remarks. Everyone is welcome. #OnlineBookClub
Yay! A new addition to my pile lol. I purchased this book with the idea that this might be a good reference for the book I'm currently writing. Hopefully I'll be able to glean transferable and fresh ideas and not just some recycled tips that can be accessed online. How about you, what’s your current read? #OnlineBookClub
Installing BCH Payment Channel on my Blog (and eStore) A Success! One of my goals for 2021 is to set up an online store that accepts Bitcoin Cash as payment. It is not enough that I am just blogging about Bitcoin Cash as a peer-to-peer payment system but I know I have to do my part in spreading its functionality. Incorporating Bitcoin Cash as a payment channel for my digital goods is a good start. The Idea I have been writing for more than a decade now - mostly for…
I wonder why my brain cells are so much active during the night. I feel so alive. Good thing there's read.cash so I have something get busy with. I write faster, I think faster and since everyone's asleep, there are more distractions when I write. I just hope I can return to my body clock when my schedule gets back to normal.
I'm so happy! I just want to promote my recent blogpost and the content itself 🥳 BTW I'm trying to sell some of the ebooks I've written before using BCH as payment option. The e-store itself is still under development but I've already tried it. Check it out guys! https://read.cash/@Marts/installing-bch-payment-channel-on-my-blog-and-estore-a-success-59c6637f P. S. All proceeds will be added to my wedding fund 😂
One of the ebooks I'm selling is titled Beyond Current Realities. You can get for as low as $1. This book is about having a positive outlook in the midst of what's happening around us. The best part: you can pay it with BCH! Check the ebook here: https://martsvalenzuela.com/product/album/
What I'm craving for right now: 1. Ice cream, cookies and cream flavor 2. Jolly Spaghetti 3. Chicken and mojos from Shakey's 4. Pork BBQ 5. Fresh mango shake 6. A morning walk along Boracay's shore 7. Cool Baguio breeze 8. A view at the summit of Mt. Pulag 9. Mushroom burger from Tagaytay 10. Forget about the other 9, as long as this whole COVID mess be over, that's what I crave the most.
It's been a week since I stepped outside our home. I just went to the bank to withdraw and though it's a few kilometers away, I chose to walk. I wanted to stretch my legs. I've been staying at home since ECQ season 2 announcement and I missed walking long distances lol.
I love the feeling after taking a bath. I feel stimulated and ready to accomplish tasks. Usually when I can't think of anything to write about, I take a quick shower to organize my thoughts. It's not a formula for me but most of the time, it works.
Before we can build it, we have to dream it. - Bruce Wayne I've been following the DC Animated Universe and I'm beginning to love Batman's character. I am more of a Superman fan when I was a kid because of, well he's super. But growing up, Batman teaches fans that being a hero is not about being super, but making things work and making a difference even in your incapacities. But I wouldn't mind to be rich like Bruce Wayne of course. 😂
How Does It Feel Like To Tip Crypto Bigwigs? One of the places I hate going into aside from hospitals is the bank. I do not feel comfortable transacting with tellers, much more discussing things with them. I feel like I am being judged and my financial capacity is always assessed. I feel anxious whenever I make deposits, withdrawals, and inquiries. Of course, I know that part of their standard operating procedure is to check bills and checks whether it is counterfeit or not,…
I need to return to my usual routine. My body clock is ruined because of my writer's flow in the previous week since ECQ season 2. This is the latest I woke up and I still feel sleepy and tired. My only consolation is my read.cash outputs. I need to sleep early later tonight. Wish ko lang 😅
I want to read a book or write a blog but I also don't want to do anything at the moment. I feel lazy. My mind is conditioned to do nothing since it's a holiday. I might take a quick shower. I hope it will do the trick. 😂
Ok so one tip I read from my new book is to kickstart your day with water. We used to think that coffee will boost us up in the morning but caffeine has this dehydrating effect in the body. It is a natural diuretic. During the night, our body loses water and because we are sleeping, we are unable to hydrate ourselves. We dehydrate ourselves more when we take coffee right away. Drink water first to refuel before switching to coffee.
How does it feel like giving FTs to bigwigs such as MarcDeMesel? We'll it's an opportunity given to us by Bitcoin Cash. I wrote about that in my latest read.cash blog: https://read.cash/@Marts/how-does-it-feel-like-to-tip-crypto-bigwigs-578fc6d3
Seize the Day With These Productivity Hacks Recently I bought a book about productivity. The first time I saw the advertisement for the book, I instantly wanted to have it. So after checking if my budget allows me another book purchase, I closed the deal with the seller. For more than a year now, I have been writing a manuscript about finding purpose in your daily routine and how not to get bored with it. I have this hunch that this book might be a good reference for the…
I blogged some of the tips I gleaned from my recent book, Productivity Hacks. Perhaps my favorite part is making sure your alarm clock is away from you so when it rings, you will not be able to hit that dangerous snooze button lol. I don't know but no matter how silly and predictable Ang Probinsyano is, I still find it amusing. Perhaps its the inis and gigil factor that keeps me hooked.
Just in case you're looking for something to read, I'm selling ebooks for a very affordable price. You can even pay with BCH too! This is my way to spread BCH awareness and to earn a bit in these trying times. Check out my ebooks here: https://martsvalenzuela.com/store/
Because of noise.cash, I now seldom visit my FB and Twitter accounts, much more my Instagram. Because of read.cash, I seldom visit my blog. I even visit my Bitcoin wallet more than my eshopping apps, which is awesome!
Everytime I see the bell icon turning red, both here in noise and read, I get excited. I love it now more than getting Facebook notifications. 😁
Watching food videos at this hour is not a good idea, I tell you. Now I want to eat.
To all read.cash users here: How many articles do you usually post in a week? Thank you! 😊
I'm looking forward to the day when news agencies and the government will announce that the pandemic is over and we can now go back to our usual lives. The first thing I'll do is to thank the Lord and celebrate, maybe schedule a trip to Prayer Mountain. Then I will spend a vacation somewhere, maybe Baguio or Zambales?
The fight scene with Dora Milaje and John Walker and Battlestar is so satisfying. But that ending with bloodstained shield - ugh, I'm lost for words. The image of the shield was ruined :( Can't believe I'll be this affected over a TV series. In case you're wondering, it's the latest episode of Falcon and Winter Soldier
My pet peeve are ill-tempered people. If you have short fuse, I might not go anywhere near you. Ill-tempered people are like ticking timebombs ready to explode any minute even with a slight trigger.
I'm having second thoughts whether I want to report to work tomorrow or not.
We're watching this movie Kiko En Lala on free TV and until now I still don't understand the plot and what the movie is all about. Haha. It even tries to inject humor but their punchlines are not funny at all. 😅
One discipline that I am trying to practice really hard is to finish and submit all the required tasks and assignments in advance. In that way, I'll have the luxury of time to spend on other things. During college, I'm a notorious crammer, but as I mature, I am learning how to redeem my time and put it to good use. The key word is trying... really hard. Hahaha
My Sentiments on Online Classes Few Weeks Before Graduation Our Dean of Students reminded us that our Midterm Exams are scheduled next week. I was like, NEXT WEEK? I can still remember this trimester's enrollment as if it was yesterday and then Midterm Exams is just around the corner. The announcement is both good and bad for me. Good because graduation is approaching fast, and bad news because need to catch up with my readings and review my lessons. Just so you know, I'm…
I have mixed feelings about this but since Chloe Bennet's is Bubbles, why not?! 😅 But still I hope she will be given her much deserved break in MCU. I love her as Quake. She could be a great addition to SWORD and a friend to Photon. Image c/o GameSpot
Different Styles in Managing Conflicts I hate conflicts. I am not argumentative and I hate explaining myself. I would rather lose the argument, stay away from the heat of the conversation and maintain my peace rather than lose my cool because I want to prove something. I am passive and timid. That is why I do my best to be at peace with the people around me. While I know this is bordering on an unhealthy mindset, I try to please people as much as I can. I compromise, I give…

You don't have to rush your timeline. You are where you need to be. Enjoy your season. Learn your lessons. Get the most out of it. Life is not always about winning and getting ahead. Sometimes it's about waiting, slowing down, resting, and cheering for others ahead of you, as well as helping others behind you.
What a busy day! I wasn't even able to post some noise. But I'm glad that BCH is performing very well! What a great day for hodlers!
A tip I read from my book: set two alarms in the morning. One to wake you up, and one to get you out of bed. Use the time in between to do your daily meditations and prayer and preparing yourself for the day ahead.
Wake Up With A Better Perspective I have this silly joke that gravity is stronger in the morning. It is tempting to just stay in the bed even after the alarm. Especially during Mondays! It is a challenge to return to a working mode after a very brief and "unutilized" weekend. But this should not always be the case. Instead of resenting waking up early to go to work or school, we should practice the following to improve our "morning mood": May this list resonate and minister…
I wrote a blog titled "How to wake up with a better perspective?" Share your thoughts! Read: https://read.cash/@Marts/wake-up-with-a-better-perspective-92b6316c
If I can travel back in time, I'll surely go back to the time when bitcoin is at it's lowest price, then purchase loads of it. 😂 Also, I'll send a note to my younger self: "you're up for a ride! Just keep your wallet safe!"
Do you still remember our school visitors who sell seeds, dictionaries, encyclopedias, comic books and story books, educational toys and even handcrafted boat placed inside Gilbey's Gin bottle? I get excited whenever they visit our small-town school then. But today, everything else can be accessed through smartphones.
National level gaslighting.
In spite of every negative that happens around us, there's a lot of things to be thankful for. The very fact that we are still breathing is a huge blessing. Friends and family are another. We just have to look beyond. As the saying goes, life is like a photograph, we develop from the negatives.
I saw a post on FB where people sarcastically respond as if mocking, a poster that doesn't go in line with their beliefs. How hard is it to keep mum, scroll past to it and resist the urge not to be condescending? When it does not work for you, when it doesn't suit your preference, when you find it unintelligible, have at least a little bit of respect. You may disagree with the issue, but do not drag the person down. OK, I'm calm now :)
Confession: It's only now on my 30ish that I am learning and enjoying how to cook. What a wonderful experience! All along my favorite household chore is washing dishes, but now cooking is slowly taking the spot.
Connect With Your Friends Even This Pandemic For more than a year because of the pandemic, most of us have been stuck in our homes with very limited movement. Our vacations were most likely canceled. Our reunions were postponed. Special occasions were put on hold or scaled down to meet the quarantine protocols. We are now living the New Normal. Being confined to our homes inevitably caused us anxiety. The world is experiencing collective trauma because of the Coronavirus.…

The best thing we can give to others will not cost us a penny. We can always offer a listening ear, a helping hand, an sweet smile, a sincere look, an encouraging message and a warm hug. #Giveaways
After a how many weeks I'll be out of Marikina for the weekend! Yay! What are your plans this weekend? :)
What I love about dogs is their loyalty and grace. If you get their affection, you're up for the most wonderful feeling in the world. If you want to know what loyalty is, get a dog :)
Cold morning showers are great! It enlivens the body and boosts energy. It signals the mind to be ready in seizing the day ahead. Have you taken your shower already? :)
And here comes the dip! But that's how crypto works. It fluctuates. What we need to do is be prepared and be wise no matter how it behaves.
Another pastor friend went home with the Lord. What a challenging and emotional season. Friends and loved one leave us and we cannot even visit them :( treasure life. Be more appreciative. Live life to the fullest. Live life purposefully.
Today, I walked to office. I love the cool morning breeze and the warmth of the sun. It's a wonderful combination. What's even wonderful is I arrived at the office today earlier than the usual. I'm not late yay!
You'll never know what you are capable of unless you start trying. Don't be afraid to take chances. Don't be afraid to fail. It's already half a victory when you decide to take Step One.
They say that high school is the best time of our lives. Perhaps it is because we're no longer kids but we're too young to be considered adults. We were then enjoying both worlds. Plus we begin to have crushes, and friendship is no longer centered on playing games but on support and dependability.
This series of lockdown has taught us our previous employment systems are so limiting. Employers think that the only place to work is at the office. That employees have to brace the traffic daily and beat the clock to punch their timecards. It's a never-ending cycle. But now, we discovered that some jobs can be done at home. We don't need to add to the grueling daily traffic. We can just work from home and still be productive and accountable.
Take Risks and Be a Better Version of Yourself I can no longer count the times I took a step of faith, counting all the risk and still give it a go. Sometimes I failed. Sometimes I end up winning. Risk is the bridge between wanting and possessing, between dreaming and making your dreams a reality. But the sum of all those decisions, of winning and losing, is what makes me who I am now. When I was younger, a fresh graduate from high school, my mother told me that they can no…
A picture of a mother's love. So I bought her favorite doughnut a few days ago and she kept it in the fridge to be eaten when she feels like it. But when she saw me reviewing for my exams later, she willingly offered me her last piece - the one she's saving for herself. Syempre kinain ko. Lol.
I love the idea of mutual aid and the spirit behind the community pantries sprouting in different parts of the country. It's a breath of fresh air. But what I don't like are the opportunistic politicians parading their names as if it was their idea, and the abusive and greedy patrons who has no regard for others. This is why we can't have nice things.
I wrote about my struggles in college and the risks I took back then. Even if it is not the whole story, I still felt a bit emotional recounting how I made it through back then. I have been tagged in a video showing explicit content in Facebook. It's disgusting. What's even worse is I've been tagged by someone I don't even know. It might be some form of malware. I hope my account is not and will not be compromised.
Make your posts interesting enough to attract not just rewards from users but ratings as well. We'll not see how are we rated but as long as we are receiving FTs, it's an indication that we are rated good (or higher). The challenge now is not just content creation, but convincing users (who are privileged to have the rating feature) to rate us accordingly 😊
I'm glad I was able to finish my take-home exam last Monday, supposedly due tomorrow noon. I am not in a rush, I still have time to do other stuff and my mind is not crammed with ideas. Tip: avoid procrastination. You will spare yourself with unnecessary worries.
Keep Yourself Motivated and Focused on Your Goals I know how it feels to get sidetracked from your goals and discouraged to move on. It is demotivating. You are not giving up on your dreams but you lose the will to carry on. I have experienced this last year when I was writing my manuscript. Due to increasing levels of anxiety and uncertainty because of the pandemic, I took a break from writing. I already finished 4 out of 8 chapters then. It was only recently when I decided…
So before I go to sleep, I wrote an article on how to keep yourself motivated in reaching for your goals. As a person who has too many dreams to conquer, I often find myself demotivated. Writing this gave me a boost, personally. Haha! Read the whole post here. https://read.cash/@Marts/keep-yourself-motivated-and-focused-on-your-goals-5daff044
I'm so happy I was able to wake up earlier than usual! Yay! So my plans for today is to take a heavy breakfast, walk to office since it's still early and spend quiet time while walking.
I don't know but arriving first at the office is an accomplishment for me haha. I want to be the first to open my pc, to open the AC and to prep all my work-related stuff. Plus - an extra time for social media lol
We are watching Judy Abbott in A2Z. I can no longer remember what the story is all about but Daddy Long Legs sure rings a bell. Judy Abbott is just one of the many cartoons I grew up with. 😁 What are the cartoons you grew up watching?
When I was still in my undergrad, I hate essays. I challenge myself with enumerations and identification type of exams because I feel so competitive. I love mental challenges! But now that I'm older, I'll take essays anytime of the day. I no longer have the energy to memorize concepts, more so enumerate them. At least with essays, I can explain what I've learned with my own words. And teachers usually give considerations. Haha
You do not give your heart easily. People gotta earn it, win it, keep it, preserve it, nourish it and protect it. Our heart is the seat of our emotions. If we are careless with it, we are totally being careless. Give your heart to someone who truly deserves it.
Me: It's frickin hot tonight! Also me: prepares hot coffee. So I'm preparing myself to do my nightly routine of writing for read.cash. I just hope it will not take me until 1am 😁
Office Tips for Office Peeps: How To Be More Productive in The Workplace If you come to the office regularly whether as a boss, a supervisor, or just a regular employee like me, you will benefit the most from this article. However, the things I will mention here may also be suitable to anyone who wants to increase their productivity. *A brief background* I've seen posts in social media discouraging employees to give their best shot at work because no matter what happens, the…
Here's the fruit of my labor, inspired by my accomplishment today of being early in the office hahahaha. Read my post here: https://read.cash/@Marts/office-tips-for-office-peeps-how-to-be-more-productive-in-the-workplace-a4b16593 TL:DR - our attitude towards work is a reflection of our personality + productivity hacks in the workplace 😁 Ciao!
Currently watching Mega Snake in GTV and even with the predictable plot and awful acting (or is it because of dubbing?), I feel hooked with the story. Or maybe because I am a fan of huge animal movies 😁
I'm craving for lechon paksiw at this moment. And also mango shake. And fried rice. I hope I'll be able to learn how to cook complex meals when I get married because until now, I can only prepare sautéed, boiled and fried foods.
Do More With What You Have: Hack Your Schedule and Time I'm a productivity buff. Or better yet, I want to develop the habit of being one. I want to accomplish as many tasks as possible with the time and resources given to me. Ticking off an item on my to-do list energizes me. I have multiple notes and to-do lists app on my phone just in case an idea pops up and a pocket of time becomes available. I developed this habit when I was in high school. I have this huge crush on a…
New article is up! Read it here: https://read.cash/@Marts/do-more-with-what-you-have-hack-your-schedule-and-time-d123505b In this post, I wrote about some tips on how to maximize your use of calendar and scheduler apps. I'm learning with my discoveries! Hope you'll find the tips helpful too!
Don't let anger consume you. Learn to forgive. It may take some time to forget all the pain. It may take a while to fully understand why you need to let go of the desire to get even. But when you decide to forgive, you're freeing yourself from unnecessary pain and emotional bondage. Be free. It's not easy, but it can be done.
One of the things I love during dry season is that I usually, and sometimes effortlessly, wake up earlier than usual. The weather wakes me up lol. Prep time! Ciao!
Here we are again with writing letters and memos. But the best part of the day is, it's already FRIDAY! Yay! So how are you planning to spend the weekend? #Giveaways

If you're given a chance to converse with your younger self, what would you tell him/her?
Things I'd Tell My Younger Self Growing up, I have had many regrets in the past. I have a couple of what-ifs and should-haves. I think about my past choices and I try to play scenarios in my mind. But part of growing up as well is to let bygones be bygones. Acceptance is key to making strides in life. We cannot continue dwelling in the past. Yet for the fun of it, suppose I am given a chance to speak with my younger self, what are the things I will discuss with him? A dozen…
Based on my last question, I wrote a full-length blog post. So here are some of the things I'll tell my younger self. Haha. Read more: https://read.cash/@Marts/things-id-tell-my-younger-self-d9250c0e
I'm having FOMO because of a certain post. Huhu. I need shake away this feeling! This is unhealthy! Haha 😂
I woke up earlier than others today. I love the serenity, the calm, when everyone including the dogs are peacefully asleep and I have the chance to sip my coffee, browse the internet and enjoy the silence. If not for that talkative neighbor Karen 😂
Just got home from a tiring but enjoyable date. Things did not went as planned but still, I'm grateful for the opportunity to spend time with my SO. Weekend well-spent 😊
Are you a goal-setter? But what if I tell you something better - be a goal-getter instead. It's one thing to plan ahead, it's another thing to seize the realization of your plans. Read my post: https://read.cash/@Marts/dont-be-just-a-goal-setter-be-a-goal-getter-1c813d6c
The ending of The Falcon and Winter Soldier is insane! I love how they capped the series with another helicopter fight scene, the Power Broker reveal, the Isaiah Bradley and Yori closure, and US Agent intro. I'm excited for the rumored Captain America 4 and Thunderbolts!
I overslept. It's been a while since I slept this long. For merienda, I'm craving for halo-halo or mais con yelo. But what we have now is giant pandesal 😅
Sometimes I accidentally touch the 🚫 sign, just right after the heart. Luckily I haven't yet "ignored" or "blocked" other users I subscribed to because of this.
I'm slowly learning to cook and I'm happy about it! I haven't perfected yet my tasting skills though. Often the finished output is tasteless. Hahaha. Soon I'll try saucy meals. 😂
A neighbor condescendingly implying that we scratched their car's bumper early this morning. What a way to welcome the week. But I'm trying to build up a positive mood. Note to self: Don't let your day be ruined by someone you do not even know :p
Now I know what my pet peeve is. I get annoyed with people with short-temper. Hahaha. I hate it when they get angry and sulky for no apparent reason. Hmmm I think I can be patient with people but when they lash out at me, at least I should know why.
Indecisive people give others a hard time. Sooner or later they will become a nuisance. 😅
Level Up Your Productivity Through Relationships I had it rough today in the office. My officemate gave me the silent treatment for no apparent reason. She became sulky and irritated. I don't know if it's "the time of the month", or she's just having a bad day or she's just not in the mood to work. All I know is I don't want to encounter her bad side. Her attitude made me realize what my greatest pet peeve is: *short-fused people*. Knowing myself, I can be patient with…
New blog post! This is inspired by the rough day I had in the office today. Hahaha! Read: https://read.cash/@Marts/level-up-your-productivity-through-relationships-0abd95f2 I also posted something in my personal blog, just visit my bio. They're somehow related :p
I love the calmness now compared to the tension yesterday. Now I am literally alone, and I can do my tasks in silence. This is the beauty of being introverted. I am at my best when no one is around. Haha
Sometimes I get nervous ordering fast food. But even with online ordering, I get anxious as well. Am I the only one?
My favorite tapsilog is being featured on Pinas Sarap atm. If not for occasional gout attacks, I'll order one for dinner. 😥 I miss tapsilog 🤤
I'm trying to learn the ropes of Binance and KuCoin. I'm a bit anxious because I'm practically a newbie. Good thing there are various how tos from read and publish0x. Gotta put my BCH into the circulation!
Every gising is a blessing, and every tulog is a favor 😊 Enjoy life, live it to the fullest. Honor God, love people. Be grateful, make a difference. Today is a gift, that's why it's called "present" - open it.
Control Your Anger Before It Controls You Anger is one of the most destructive emotions of man, for obvious reasons. Outbursts of anger often result in arguments, physical fights, physical abuse, assault, and self-harm. But aside from observable effects, anger can also lead to problems such as increased anxiety, high blood pressure, and headache, among others. There is nothing wrong with anger, per se. It is common and a natural reaction. Well-managed anger can be a useful…
Wrote an article today! Nuks sumisingit haha. From one of my shower thoughts ;p Read: https://read.cash/@Marts/control-your-anger-before-it-controls-you-12bbbc20 TL;DR - Control your anger before it controls you. Don't let your life be ruined just because of uncontrolled emotion.
Do you have friends you haven't connected with yet since the recent lockdowns? Have you checked upon them? I wrote a blog about reaching out to our friends, especially in these trying times. https://read.cash/@Marts/connect-with-your-friends-even-this-pandemic-4a637ef4
ATM: enjoying my pocket time for rest before I attend my virtual class later. Kaunting tumbling na lang matatapos na rin to! Tapos panibagong aral ulit. Haha 😂
Watching and waiting for my Buy Order to be fulfilled in Binance while attending an online class lol. My attention was caught by these whales buying and selling large amounts of coins and tokens. I wonder how it feels to have even a fraction of their fortune! Hahaha
After much reading, dealing with anxiety, and convincing myself that I can do the $CAKE staking at harvest.finance and pancakeswap, finally, I did it! Hahaha. My only regret is I wasn't able to fully document the procedure so I cannot make a blog about it. But nevertheless, I'm putting my BCH to work, instead of hodling them in my bitcoin.com wallet :) So the things I did for the first time today: - spot trading at binance - using metamask and binance smart chain -…
I set my minimum withdrawal to $1. Hopefully, I'll be able to reach that, multiple times daily hehe. How about you? How much did you set your minimum withdrawal threshold?
Make Your Work From Home Experience Work For You Since the beginning of community quarantine and lockdowns, a lot of offices shifted to work-from-home set up to accommodate the government protocols and also to protect their employees from the Coronavirus. For the first two months of the strictest lockdown in the Philippines, the most congested highway - EDSA, was bereft of vehicles and foot traffic. As a result, air pollution was minimized, and accidents and crime rates…
Another article is up! I feel so productive today yay! This time I wrote about working from home - some thoughts about it, and some tips on how to make it work. Confession: working from home is not my cup of tea, but I'm all out for it for the sake of the majority :) Read my blog post here: https://read.cash/@Marts/make-your-work-from-home-experience-work-for-you-e55c573f Gotta sleep! Ciao!
A sip of hot coffee in the morning brings a different kind of sensation to my inner system lol 😂 It's a brand new day! And yep, it's Thursday. On Saturday we're gonna welcome May. Time flies so fast! Aaaaanndd, we're still on quarantine 😂
"Without a code, I'm no better than them" - Batman. [Batman: Hush] Batman's code of not killing his enemies makes him a different kind of vigilante hero. He doesn't get revenge but is hellbent on seeking justice. Ohh, I'm loving DC Animated Universe. Perhaps someday there will be a better-executed live-action movie version than the ones we had before (ahem Justice League Whedon version)
Five weeks to go and I'm done with my Bible schooling. Finally, I'm about to graduate! Another milestone unlocked. But what's next will be the most challenging. Studying is easy. Real-life application is a different story.
Financial Mistakes I Did As A Young Adult I've been working for more than 10 years already. Since I graduated from college, I have experienced firsthand what millennials refer to as ***adulting***. Just in case you're living in a cave since 2015, the year the word first blew up, the word means: `1. to behave in an adult manner; engage in activities associated with adulthood` `2. to make someone behave like an adult; turn someone into an adult` Since then, it has been a…
I recalled my major financial blunders in the past and came up with this article: https://read.cash/@Marts/financial-mistakes-i-did-as-a-young-adult-724981a5 What is the greatest financial lesson you have learned that you can impart to the younger generation? Mine is this: money is a great servant but a terrible master. be wise in dealing with it.
Today is the last day of the month. Time passes swiftly! Before we know it, it's already Christmas time haha. It's gonna be a busy day today. Cheers, people!
Finally done with this week's, and this month's hullabaloo! Yuhoo! But the grind is far from over. Gotta review and catch up with my required readings, write and post a readcash article for today, tweak my budget for pending bills and expenses, and update my personal blog.
It's been a while since I last ate an avocado :) A cold mashed avocado with milk is a great alternative to ice cream and it tastes great - but not when taken in great amount haha. Umaaaay 😅
Get the Most Out Of Your Reading Reading is one of my favorites. In fact, as soon as I graduated from college, I made it a goal to work in one a book publishing company. Things went slightly different but still, I ended up in book retail and distribution. I had the time of my life back then, being surrounded by books I get to read regularly, plus I am eligible then for extra discounts whenever I want to buy a title. Perhaps my love for reading is the reason why I also dreamt…
