Special Relativity: Time Travel, Is It Possible? (Part 1)
LIGHT is made of photons that are among the elementary particles studied in the world of quantum physics, they are even smaller than the nucleus of atoms with a size of ~ 10^-12 cm. Its speed reaches 299,792,458 m/s equivalent to 7 times the rotation of the earth's equator in one second. According to Albert Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity (1905), no matter or particles can exceed the speed of light, which is said to be the fastest in the universe.
In “Theory of Special Relativity” explains the relation of an observer to the speed of an object in whatever FRAME OF REFERENCES a person is present and the time difference of objects depending on the speed at which it travels.
According to Einstein, there are two postulates. The first says that the law of physics does not change in any inertial reference frames and all motion is relative to any observer, for example you are inside a ship with a speed of 200 km/hr with constant velocity and inside it you throw the ball, you can see that the motion of the ball does not change, it normally falls and bounces where the same motion if you throw it right inside the basketball court or on the surface of the earth, meaning the speed of ship with whatever laws of physics in it, same with whatever reference frame you are where the motion of objects is relative to you as an observer. Here you see the movement of an object moving away from where you are or approaching you, for example you are running towards a bus that is also approaching you, you will notice that the bus moves faster than if you are just standing, or you are running. away from the bus as the bus approaches you, here you can see that your movement seems to slow down relative to the bus moving towards you, this is called "relative speed".
Second, the speed of light is constant and will not change no matter what observer looks at, for example you are traveling aboard a Jet plane with a speed of 500 mph then outside you fire a bullet with a speed of 1,500 mph towards the destination of the Jet plane ( 500 mph + 1,500 mph = 2,000 mph), the observer can see that the bullet is traveling at a speed of 2,000 mph, so what does this have to do with the speed of light? Because the speed of light does not change no matter what size the observers take, its speed is still 300 million m/s, for example you travel at a speed of 1,000,000 m/s then you emit a light beam in front, it does not mean that porke you emit light is 301,000,000 m/s the speed of light, of course 300 million m/s is still that according to Einstein, has not changed, here is the reason why the Theory of Special Relativity says that the speed of light is unique , nothing like and nothing more.
The time in moving objects varies depending on speed, and all moving with speed takes time travel or travels in time constantly, it is true that this is the case the travel of objects in the universe is just PROGRESS that is equal to each a day trip is also a day, but according to relativity we can travel PAST and FUTURE faster than the speed of time we know and it depends on how fast you ride relative to you, this is called RELATIVE VELOCITY TIME DILATION. As the speed of your reference frame approaches the speed of light, time slows down here (time dilation) than if you were just standing on the earth. 1 hour of 50% of the speed of light is equivalent to 1 hour and 9 minutes to a person on earth, and as time travels in this state it seems all things are closing in to zero in length. , as if the visible reference frames or objects (length contraction) which travel close to the speed of light are shortening, and this object is based solely on the journey into the future. If, for example, you suddenly travel at a speed of 99.99% of the speed of light, the observer will see that you are with him as if you disappeared in front of him and you will go to the future (or 3 days from now) when things will happen, that is, slow down. the time in the observer's reference frame while yours is accelerated by about 3 days or 71 hours.
