I thank God for life
What's more beautiful than the love of God? I'm pretty sure there isn't. His love for us is immeasurable that sometimes I think we don't deseve it for we always forgot how good He is to us. I can't count the ways we turn our backs from Him and chose to do what's not according to His commandments. But because He loves us unconditionally, He still save us from harm and give us countless blessings.
This morning, I received two gifts and these are my eyes waking up. Waking up everyday is a gift from Him that we seldom appreciate. Well we can't deny because we are too busy at life that we forgot what's really the purpose of it. Some are focus on work on how to get rich perhaps. Some are also busy dealing with everyday problems and some are hustling just to have three meals a day. Lastly, some are enjoying and having the best of life. Well, these are not bad at all. What makes them ain't good is when we get too occupied about them that we forgot to thank the one who made everything possible.
I can still remember the day Covid came to our land and how everyone panicked. Actually there has been a news about it that one citizen from a certain country had got that flu and she was in Cebu that time. People didn't mind about it thinking that it will just pass by and so we are also confident that it won't came to us. But what had happened? It spread as swiftly as a wink of an eye. In fact it spread all over the world breaking the economy and killed many. But as time goes on, researchers and scientists have discovered cure and made vaccines against covid. Thankfully, vaccines are effective because covid cases here in our place slow down and eventually got into zero. There's no transmission reported as well because most of the people are now vaccinated. Because everything gets good, what has been halt before is now operating like malls, sea, land and air transport, market and some schools. In our town, face to face classes are announced but then typhoon Odette happened damaging the schools making face to face classes postponed again.
Odette hit our land greatly and it has left us with despair taking our hopes and dreams away. Massive damage has been done to houses and properties. Some establishments were on pause. Many people are now on the street begging for food. Some are also living with none because their homes are totally washed away by the big waves. In short, life now has been so sad especially that we celebrate Christmas with a candle light dinner (sounds expensive lol) because there's no electricity and up until now some network providers were still down at certain areas.
But despite what happened, we are still alive. Covid came and we are still alive and kicking. Super typhoon hit us but we are still able to celebrate Christmas with family. I don't care in what ways we celebrate it though as long as we are with our family. And now, we are about to celebrate New Year. Wow! I can't believe it's already 365/365. I can still remember how drunk I was last Year during New Year's Day.
Life has been so tough this year but let's be optimistic that the coming year will be full of blessings from the Almighty because why not? He has been so good to us ever since.
I really thank God for life.
