Affliates are like having persons included in your team, both of you earn points, both of you are part of the community.

So how do you get affiliates?

First, encourage via social media platforms. It is better if you share it on people who are really into writing. Writers who are skilled already are most likely to be encouraged rather than those who not. It is okay if you don't get any users or affiliates at first. I personally, had a hard time convincing people to be on this site. Some say that it is a scam, some say that it is just waste of time, some are just playing hard to get. Just focus on your skills then go back to encourage people then your skills again. It may become a habit, but it's okay rather than forcing something to someone who is not valuable to it.
