-912: Reasons for negative points balance and how to avoid
I have seen lots of users complain of having a negative point balance, such as -100 points, -300 points and even more. Why? You have a negative balance because points have been deducted from your point balance. This happens when your point balance as of when the point was deducted was less than the total point deducted.
For instance, your point balance was 50 points, and the total point to be deducted was 80 points. After deduction (50 - 80 = -30) you will be left with a negative balance of -30 points. But if you have about 200 points and 80 points are deducted (200 - 80 = 120), you will have a positive point balance of 120 points. Reasons for point deduction If you have a ***negative*** ***point balance***, you may have some questions. For example, how did this happen? Your points can be deducted for the following reasons: 1. Deleting Your Articles, Posts or Comment You points are deducted if you delete an article, a short post or a comment for which you were previously given points. The points you earned from such deleted post or comment will be deducted. Your points balance might and your points balance might even go negative. **How to avoid.** To prevent this is easy - don't delete your old articles/posts. If you must, then prepare your mind to lose the points it has earned you. 2. Violation of Rules You also loss points when your article, comment, short post gets hidden/deleted by read.cash site moderators for a rule violation. 10 points and the points you already earned from the article, comment, or short post will be deducted from your point balance.
**How to avoid**. **Don't plagiarize** - Republishing another user's content. Stop copy-pasting others' content, be original. "**Don't** post anything obviously illegal, especially illegal according to European Union, anything hate-filled, no porn, erotic content or sexuality." **Don't Spam -** Spamming is prohibited here on read.cash. **Stop spam comments.** Commenting doesn't take much effort. Try to read the article or post and you will have something to share in the comments. How to fix The only way to fix a negative point balance is to earn more points without violating the rules. Be active, publish original articles, read other articles, and leave useful comments - **no spam!** With time, you will earn enough points to turn your negative point balance around - to a positive balance. Just do the regular RC activities and avoid unnecessary bad actions/conducts.

I've never had my points taken away or having negative points and I hope I never do. My problem is with the spamming that is going on now. It is troubling
It's common among newbies who join RC with the wrong intentions. Also uninformed newbie who feels there is need to delete some posts after earning points.
But then the spamming option is now removed! Ha!💃
no one want to see points in negative. These points are very helpful for me because i am new user and i dont want lose my points. i will not delete my any post. i will try to follow the rules of read.cash.
Many users are losing points due to their inexperience and bad conduct. If you do as if you have said. You won't experience such.
There are other users who are just victims of spammers who are getting revenge. Spammers are mad to those users who hunt them and they fight back unfairly.
Yes true. But I don't think those people will have a negative balance. I have been a victim. Especially when you post a comment to correct or give a constructive criticism, the users sometimes react negatively, marking your comments as spam.
Another information I gain from this article sir regarding on negative points and its reason and how to avoid it. I never thought deleting articles or post has its consequences. How thoughtful of you informing us about this. How about those copied comments is the one responsible will be deducted of his points? If ever, a good strategy to stop spammers. Thank you so much.
Its possible sir. If spam comments and plagiarized articles are removed by read.cash, then such users will definitely lose points they have earned from the deleted post or comment.
I see, thank you for enlighting. So spammers must be careful and those who plagiarize. I hope this article will solve the problem if they read.

Excellent publication, I will take your advice into account, I am very careful when commenting on the articles of others and when I research to make my post I write in my own words or make quotes and publish the source, they are simple things to do and future problems are avoided in RC
I agree. We may copy-paste today and go away with it, but such may come back to hurt us or the platform in future.
Good thing I haven't tried having negative points on this platform. I try to adhere to the rules everyday, even if I don't get high points too much, it is better than disobeying all the regulations on this site. Thank you for this informational article.
You are right. Keep up the good conduct and you will get more reward some day.
This happen to my friend, she has -300 and read.cash muted her for 3 days because of spamming, but that spamming was done in the past, and she was just muted just recently.
Read.Cash said that all spammers, which I think meant everyone detected by his bots, those reported and downvoted, and those that have actually been spamming, she was probably affected.
Hmmm 🤔 probably 🤔but her account is okay now, gone the -300 thingy.
Okay. I am happy for her. She should do her best to adhere to the rules of the platform..
Okay. I am happy for her. She should do her best not to violate the rules of the platform. It is very important she adhere. I hope are points are getting b

I have also experienced that before almost -900+ points for deleting my articles. For the reasons quiting read Cash, But now I am still here. I regretted what I've done before. But now I already recovered and loves read cash for good.

Wow, I never knew that deleting articles reduces ones point, but why
You posted an article which earns you point. When you later delete that article. All the points you have earned from it will be deducted. You have deleted the article, along with all the engagement that earned the point, and you expect to keep the points?
Okay, now I see, so if you delete an article, the number of points you got from it will be deducted right
Yes. You have not replied my message on WA
Sorry about that
Oh dear, and here's me, getting this close to writing about sex and actually drawing sexy humans
