Do a proper budget for money you have reserved for tuition, accommodation, transportation and miscellaneous expenses. Budgeting is very important because it helps you not to spend more than your estimated cost.
COST OF LIVING
Know the cost of living of the country you are traveling to. Some cities are very expensive while some are moderate and some are relatively cheap. Get proper information about the cost of living
ACCOMMODATION
Begin to search for accommodation before travelling. Google the country you are traveling to and find an accommodation closer to school because it will save you cost of transportation. If you fail to get accommodation before resumption, book for an hotel or an Airbnb while still searching for accommodation. Check the accommodation section listed on the school website.
WEATHER CHANGE
The weather in Europe and America can be extremely cold depending on the time of the year. Find clothes that are thick or rather, budget some money in clothing so when you get to your country of destination, you can buy clothes from the stores over there.
CULTURE CHANGE
If you are traveling to Europe, try to learn and understand the language to help you communicate better. In a typical African or Asian culture, people kneel or bow when greeting the elderly but in abroad, you simply say "Hello" and it's no disrespect. That's their form of greeting.
TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM
There are buses and taxis that move within and outside of the cities and countries while trains go to other countries. You could use a train to travel from Belgium to Germany. The payment system is either with a Leap card (a card that you recharge and just tap when you get into the bus) or you pay with cash.
FOOD
The food abroad might taste terrible to you most especially if you are a lover of Asian or African food. However, be sure to carry enough food stuff with you while traveling but the good news is that there are African and Asian stores but buying it there can be pretty expensive.
JOBS
Menial jobs are everywhere and easy to find abroad. If you don't have the mindset to work as a cleaner or retail assistant, be sure you are from a wealthy family or you have enough money with you however, menial jobs pay well. Don't forget about Uptrennd too😁. It's another good source of income you can add to menial jobs😉
ADAPTABILITY
Moving to a new country with a new environment, new weather, new way of life that is different from your country and trying to adapt can be very challenging but it's important that you adapt if you want to have good grades. Try to obey all rules and regulations, avoid getting into trouble with anyone, avoid bad friends and avoid having a criminal record. With these things in mind, you are good to go
