What has become of the feminist movement

The focus of the feminist movement is stated to be fighting for equal rights for women. Some feminist have interpreted this mission to include women doing all tasks or jobs that men are usually engaged for. This is a faulty line of thought as by nature there are tasks that are best performed by the respective sexes due to their unique qualities or features.

The manner in which the demand for 'equal' rights is being pursued in recent times is indeed is an injustice to women, rather treating women in a just and dignified manner is what should be advocated for.

There is a gulf of difference between equality and justice as aptly illustrated in an internet meme where three individuals who had different heights wanted to see a football match being played on the other side of the fence. For them to be able to view the match they have to be provided with a wooden platform to enable them view the match.

If each of them were to be given wooden platforms of equal height in the spirit of equality, the shorter individuals would be at a disadvantaged position due to their lower height. The implication of this is that they'd either barely be able to see the match or worse still not be able to see the match because of their height challenge.

However applying the concept of justice, would put the height of each individual into consideration thus each individual would receive a platform that would elevate them to a level that enables them to conveniently see the match. Thus any movement that truly claims to be fighting for the betterment of the women folk should be championing the course of justice for women rather than simply chanting 'equal right'.

A vivid illustration of the deficiency of the equal rights mantra was when the Ukraine war broke out and male volunteers were being sought to sign up to fight, there were calls in some quarters ( which by the way I was totally against) that same be extended to women folk since feminists are always chanting for equal rights for women thus they shouldn't be left out of combat as well.

A rather alarming dimension to the practice of feminism is rearing it's head these days. It is the attack of on men under the toga of women's rights. I recently came across a shocking photo of the advice being given by a lady who claimed to be feminist to another lady who was married pregnant and pregnant BUT not for her husband. Hiding under the guise of a woman having the choice of who she allows touch her body to commit paternity fraud is wrong by any standards.

She urged the woman seeking advice to keep the real status of the child's paternity from her husband and further went on to give her some heartless options to entrap the man such that if he eventually finds out that he isn't the father he dare not dissolve the marriage because of the false allegations that would be made against him.
