This is what we do unknowingly:
We wake for the sake of waking up in the mornings, not for thanking that we are alive to see tomorrow.
We eat for the sake of eating, never knowing that there are people starving and striving to survive in the shadows.
We read for the sake of reading, not understanding the context of what was written by the creator or authors.
We clean for the sake of cleaning, not for people who're suffering from diseases nor for the Earth that is our Mother.
We sing for the sake of singing, ignoring the emotions behind each word, of how it was intricately placed for the harmony it will hold.
We dance, we write, we touch, we hold. For the sake of the goal we wanted to pursue, yet we also give up halfway without ever reaching the limit of what we could do.
Ahhh. Sad. I feel guilty to myself while reading this. I sometimes do something for the sake of such thing, never think an mind of its value. Well written dearπ keep it up
