Many of my friends ask about personality psychology, especially introverts and extroverts. Most of them often ask, Which is the better personality, and can we choose one of them?
I will explain the most common things about extrovert and introvert personalities first. One of the main characteristics of an extrovert personality is that they are flexible and sociable. Those who have an extroverted personality are more influenced by the environment outside of themselves (extraversion) compared to introverts. That means an extrovert will be difficult when he does not get support or an approach from outside himself. Extroverts do better when there are lots of people around.
The opposite of extroverts, introverts are personalities who seem aloof. Actually, they don't always have to be loners, because the essence of introverts is that they are more influenced by their inner or self. Those who have introverted personalities can work better and optimally when they can have quality time with themselves, not with other people or the environment outside themselves. That's why people who have introverted personalities are often seen as loners. However, it does not mean that people who have an introverted personality are people who withdraw from the social environment, do not want to socialize, and have no interest in the social environment. Both introverts and extroverts still have an interest in the social environment, the only difference is the portion.
Then, which one is better? extrovert or introvert? The answer is nothing is better. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. It is like when we compare two cars from different brands. In terms of performance, maybe brand A is much better, but in terms of appearance and exterior, brand B is far superior.
Extroverts and introverts have their advantages and disadvantages. That's not to say that extroverts are bound to be leaders with connections everywhere. Introverts also do not mean they are not easy to get along with, and eventually become marginalized and unknown to many people. Both extroverts and introverts have their own path. An introvert will never be successful when using the ways of extroverts, and vice versa, an extrovert will never succeed when using the ways of introverts.
That's a little picture of personality psychology about introverts and extroverts. So, the conclusion is that no personality is the best, or the worst because all personalities have their own way of living. Thank you for reading the article about personality.
