Brickfields and it’s impacts on our nature **Date: 19th May, 2022. Thursday** We are now living in a world where a coolest city, a richest city is considered by the count of skyscrapers. Tall buildings and higher construction are the necessity of an upgraded world. Even in the rural areas, people are using better constructed home to live. Those tin shed houses, muddy houses, houses made of straws are getting decreased day by day. That position has been over taken by bricks and costly timbers. Mostly bricks and today my topic is based on it. I'm going to talk about bricks, it’s making process and the impacts of it in our lives. So let's ride on the journey and have a look at one of most useful material of construction world. I'm with you always and will narrate it. Let's start, shall we? Bricks are made of clay or mud, whatever you say. In a required process they are made and then sold to the buyers. Depending on the price, it is made in various options. So the qualities vary from one to another. The mud, ash and chalk make it more strong and we get the important thing to build our homes or other buildings. It sounds very fantastic till now, right? Let me show you the ugly side of it too.
Every thing has two sides of it's own. If you see the beneficial at one point, get ready to embrace the another part too. The impact of making bricks are too heavy on nature. It feels like we are making our own graves with it. We are destroying the mother nature for our own profits and then mother nature shows us it’s revenge. Let me brief it more. Yesterday, one of my cousin visited me and insisted me to visit his area. I was feeling bored while staying at home. I agreed with him and went away. In the afternoon, we went out on his bike to witness the nature. He informed me that a brickfield has been made in the nearest part of their area. That made me curious. I insisted him to go there first. We went there and I saw the area. Have a look.
The whole area which I once knew as a playground for the local children, has suddenly turned into a commercial zone. I could hear loud sounds before reaching that area. Yes, the work was going on. People were busy in making bricks. Millions of raw bricks were there and ready to go for the final procedure. Big trucks were loading and unloading muds at one corner. Day labourers were working hard and making things faster for producing more bricks. The whole area was surrounded with broken twigs, dry woods, coals which made me sure that they were using them to make fire. Chaos, screaming, extra sounds of machines made that area unbearable for me. I started walking outside of that area and found a place where broken bricks are stored. Wind was blowing fast and dust was flying here and there. Even my cousin felt something went into his eyes. That was a complete mess. We left that place immediately.
To make bricks, we need muds. To burn them and turn them in bricks, we need fuel and that’s why we need more woods. Black smoke and dust will occur while making bricks, so we need an open space out of locality. All the processes are required to make brickfield. Well it's not easy to do so. For mud, we are destroying our lands. We are digging here and there. we are cutting down hill tracts. A huge amount of trees have been cut down for this too. Now we all know, it is definitely a blockage for having a beautiful environment. We are damaging our environment and making tall buildings to live peacefully. We are increasing the temperature by cutting down trees and then living in a room with air conditioner. Hypocrisy at it’s best. We should be make things effective in a positive way. Brickfields are polluting our environments and we are doing nothing. Well I say, come and face the reality. Sooner we will be facing the mass destruction unless we take proper steps to stop it or make a better way to live. You made such a good post with bricks.. dude, you are awesome and as usual, love the pics. :)
Thanks dear. You never failed to put a smile on my face.
God entrusted us the environment or nature that sorrounds us. We should preserve them and not to destroy them. We are accountable of what's happening around us. We should be aware also of the consequences of what we've done to the environment.
I love to be owner of brick field.
May be if i am not wrong first time ever i saw article about brick .
This is a great Article. And, I especially love the pictures. :D
You are correct everything has positive and negative impact on our sorroundings, and making bricks gives a huge impact on our sorroundings, so sad but its thier source of living
I can't deny that, human activities are such great contributor to the deterioration of mother nature.
Yeah, sometimes the human intervention gets punish the nature or mother earth. I don't think this activities would put into an end since this is one of their source of income.
My brother, i saw the change of my village.. I can't relate it with 10 years back situation. There is 6 brick field beside our village. The weather has totally changed by these. Crops field and playground are replaced by these. And to run these fields they need soil. They are destroying the village weather by taking soil from crops field.
Soil is already dying and along with this construction dust, what's little good left is also destroyed. One thing I have realised industrialization pollutes a lot doing damage to the Earth and giving luxury to the humans.
From your description of brick making; the process is really harmful to the environment. I think cement block are better than brick, and that what we use mostly in my country
This trend has started in my country too.
I've never seen a brickfield before. Unfortunately, pollution is inevitable, because people have to build. But I would be happiest in the open air on an island, away from all the pollution we are surrounded by because people are destroying everything we need to live healthy. And you are welcome, you deserve support, I love your posts, so cool and original 😊
Don't melt me like this way. Thanks for always being there for me.
It really is sad that we human are the ones destroying our mother earth
We are digging our own graves.
