Pets are family

There are different pets to choose from but not everyone is suited to become their parents. Pets also have their own needs which must be met by the family who chose to adopt them.

There was this movement that instead of buying pets, they encourage people to adopt so pets won't have to be euthanized for not having a family to take care of them. The local government also wants to keep stray dogs out of streets and place them in animal shelters. They also have fine for the irresponsible pet owners who just let their dogs let loose and poop around the area.

Pets are...

Pets are just like us. They also need love, care, understanding, and attention. They also need a family who will love and care for them just like how we need our family to make us feel loved and secured.

If ever they are sick, they have to be brought to the vet. They also experience stress especially that they are unable to do their usual routine which is to play outside or go for a walk. Unlike us, they can't tell how they feel but they can surely show it by their change if behavior.

Pets also have good grooming which includes their anti rabies shot, deworming, nail cut and other personal needs. They need to visit the vet from time to time in order to ensure that they are in good health.

Pets must have their own personal space just as to how we want to have our own. They must have a fluffy bed, their toys, their food plate, and drinking plate. They have this specific space where they can stay, sleep and relax.

Pets also needs to exercise and go out from time to time. They also need to have some time with other pets of their kind so they'll be able to mingle and socialize with them. If we long for fellowship and intimacy, pets are also the same.

Pets are more sensitive than we think. They also need people to care about how they feel. Most of the pets are stressed with noise or the feeling of being left alone at home as their owners go to school or work.

Responsibilities of pet parents

Pet parents must be responsible enough to pay attention to their pets. If you can't take care if your pet then you should give him up by giving him to a family who can take care of him. Cuddles, petting, kissing and showing affection will be highly appreciated by pets.

Pet parents must feed their pets on time. If we want to eat on time, pets surely want the same thing. You must make sure to provide your pet food and vitamins to ensure that he is healthy. If ever the the owner is not available then she must entrust her pet to someone whom an take care it as the owner leaves home.

Pet parents must take their pets out because pets also need some time to unwind. They need to go out to enjoy the sun and the company of other pets especially if the pet isn't the type of pet to stay home.

Pet parents must ensure the safety and well-being of their pets. If you're not prepared to take care of your pets then I suggest you not to have one. Having a pet isn't just about showing off, it's about extending your love to a new family member.

Animals in danger

There are different types of pets to choose from. But there are pets which I don't consider to become pets. Our opinions might differ but I want my refers to understand that animals need to be in their own natural habitat.

Zoo. I'm not against zoo because it's an attraction and eye opener to people who doesn't have the slightest idea about animals. There was this instance when a zoo keeper decided to walk the tiger he takes care of outside the zoo premises. It was a very disturbing sight to see since tigers are animals who has the instinct of hunting. They are supposed to be out in the wild and enjoying the nature.

Another thing was a gorilla who was shot dead in a zoo when a child fell in its cage. It was really heartbreaking because it wouldn't happen only if it wasn't taken in the zoo. If only they allowed the poor gorilla to stay in its natural habitat then it wouldn't be able to harm a child and die by being shot.

There are also animals in zoo who die out of stress due to the people who longs to see them. The best example for this is the tarsier who commits suicide if ever they feel too stressed since they are nocturnal and Soo visitors like to see them.

Circus. If humans doesn't like being inflicted with pain how much more the animals who can't even protect themselves. They are made as an attraction who does dangerous tricks in order to bring joy and excitement to the viewers.

Hunting. There are different animals who are now endangered due to constant hunting of humans. Sometimes it makes us more animals for cruelly killing animals who are supposed to be happily playing and living in their natural habitat. It's so saddening how we see animals as threats against us when it was us who are the threat to them.

Bull fights. Allowing a raging bull to come over the matador who has red piece of cloth and slowly kill the bull by piercing it with sword or other sharp objects just to entertain a huge crowd who demands the death of a raging bull.

Their might have been a tradition to other places but I don't think this must be prolonged not unless we want the future generation to see those animals in pictures just like the other animals who totally vanished from earth.

Eating exotic foods. It's said in the news that the Coronavirus came from eating bats or even rats. It's cringe worthy and something that has affected the whole world. The new normal is totally disturbing and uncomfortable to most of us.

This is lesson which reminds us not to eat animals which aren't supposed to be eaten since there are animals which can be eaten. Because of that irresponsible act we are now all affected and in danger from the mutating virus.

Pets to choose from

Dogs. It's a fact that dogs are man's best friend. I've experienced it first hand. I woke up from a nightmare crying then our dog came over to me to comfort me. He was barking softly as if telling me I'm okay and he's there for me. His name is Yogurt and he's the best pet for me after the late Bebot who was our female dog who dies due to virus common for dogs.

He also likes to wait for us to come home and he's very playful. We also carry him whenever we have family trips.

Cats. They are really tender and sweet. We have a cat named Miley. I had another nightmare earlier today and when I woke up she was there watching over me. When she was sure that I'm doing okay, she then decided to run to my brothers room.

She often kisses me and she likes sleeping on my chest. She also sleeps on my bed where I don't have enough space to lie down since she likes to occupy the largest space of the bed. We often feed her cat food and she has her own cage as well.

Fish. It's easy to take care of fishes because their food must be in bullets and you just have to make sure that they live in an aquarium with proper oxygen and it must be maintained to be clean.

We had fishes before but they died one by one due to changing temperature at home. They were fun to watch and they don't make that much noise unlike other pets.

You can also have other pets as long as you don't take them away form their natural habitat and you don't take in let's for your own personal interest. Just try to put yourself in their shoes. They are not supposed to be used to obtain money or to be eaten as food. We already have enough animals to eat so we don't need to eat other animals which aren't supposed to be eaten not unless we want this pandemic to go further.

Pets are not just animals to entertain our boredom. Pets are part of the family and they are more than we can ask to have.

I love animals just as how much I love humans and the earth.

We must respect animals if we want to be respected as well. They also have lives to live and families to be with. We must not take them away for their natural habitat in order to preserve the life they have.
