Kids contribute in healing

Today is Saturday which is supposed to be a rest day, but sadly I have a pike of work to finish up. I worked from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. non stop. I woke up at 8 a.m., took a bath and eat my late breakfast at 9:30. I opened my laptop, played some music before I ate my breakfast. I had a little chat with my family, especially my mom then I washed the plates.

After eating breakfast I started working and reaching out to people non stop. As a matter of fact my fingers felt numb for typing in both my cellphone and my laptop. My eyes also hurt for too much screen time. I had to go to my sister's house because she has a printer. I've printed a lot of documents which is pricy when I have it printed in our area. I was asking my mom to come with me but she is tired due to washing the clothes last night until 12 midnight while I put the laundry in hangers. I'm just glad that we have dryer so the clothes doesn't need to wait for the sun to dry up.

I went to my sister's house riding a jeepney, then my sister asked me to but Christmas gift wrappers on my way to their house. After buying the gift wrappers, I decided to buy 2 boxes of Hawaiian pizza for snacks. The kids already had fruits as their snacks so the pizza is fine to be eaten by them. I had to wait for about an hour just standing as there are many customers at that time. The worker is only one and she seems way too exhausted for catering all her customers.

After my order was prepared, I then walked to my sister's house. When I got there, as a safety precaution, I had to wash my body and spray lots of alcohol in my clothes and my body. I don't want to risk the safety of the kids so I didn't entertained them right away. After I'm sure that I'm safe, I decided to ask the kids to come and eat with me. I then looked at my sister's six month old baby. She smiled at me right away as if recognizing me. She stretched her arms asking me to carry her and so I did. She kept on looking and smiling at me.

I spoke to her and do a few baby talks while carrying her. I ate together with my nephew and my nieces. The kids are not feeling well because they just got vaccinated on both their arms. They also have colds and they aren't as energetic as they usually are simply because their left and right arms got injected.

I talked to the kids for a while and they told me a few things about what actually happened them and how their day went. After eating, I asked for a chocolate milk and asked my niece to give it to me as a treat. They have a small sari-sari store and each kid has his/her own items to sell. I joked about not paying and she got all sassy with me which I found kinda cute.

After the eating and teasing session, I then decided to carry the baby again and play with her a little. Until I found the time to have a heart to heart talk with my sister about my personal issues and struggles. I told her not to tell it to others and as my confidant and older sister, she gave me a few advices. When it's around 6 p.m., I then decided to go home, not forgetting to tell them to go to our house for my older sister's birthday celebration.

We're planning to have a boodle fight at home and it's the first time the kids are going to experience it. All of us are excited. I bid them goodbye and I asked my sister for money so I can buy milktea. I have no money so I have to ask her for the mean time.

I walked to the milktea shop and waited for a few minutes before I got my order. The crew might have noticed that I still need to ride a vehicle as he made sure to cover the kid with tape and put the milktea in two pieces of plastic. As I was waiting for the jeepney, I was trying to weigh my previous decisions in life. If it's right that I quit my job and started a new job or should I have just stayed. The promotion and money is there as well as the benefits but it's not what I've always wanted to do. Now, I do what I want to do but I have no money.

I had to borrow money from my mother and my siblings so I can buy a brand new laptop for my work. It's a essential matter for my current job. I have no seminar before I started and I had to learn it all by myself. I also do ask questions from my workmates but I know how disturbing I can be for frequently asking questions. I'm just glad because they are always willing and ready to answer me any time of the day.

I also felt unsafe while I was waiting for my ride home because of the men lurking all over the place. I just don't like the feeling of lots of men looking. So I decided to move to the area where many passengers are waiting for their ride home. After about 20-25 minutes of waiting a jeepney finally arrived. My eyeglasses are also kinda foggy because the baby snatched it from my eyes while I was carrying her.

Then, I was able to safely go home. After that, my older brother came home because he needs to buy a new light bulb and decided to come over to drink milk tea and eat dinner. After that he went to his own home with his wife and baby.

Honestly, with just a few hours of talking and bonding with the kids made me ease my mind from all the troubles that I have. They are God's angels and reminder that no matter what I'm going through, there is always something to laugh and be happy about. I love how this day went from being all tired and stressed out to being all happy and contented for what I have and being thankful of the things that I don't have.

God does miracle on a daily basis. Just the fact that I'm still alive, healthy and safe as well as my family, is more than enough to make me feel know his presence. God is good all the time and all the time God is good.
