Are We Still Look The Same After Death? *Are We Still Look The Same After Death? This question comes in my mind when I remembered my mom's story when she was young.* *According her, she was only 9 years old when her father died, one of the most painful part of her life. During burial, he saw a man who has the same figure of her dad. She follow it and saw clearly that the man is wearing the same clothes on what her's father wearing in the coffin; because of that she was sure that it was her father's soul saying goodbye to her. When my mom reached college, she still saw the same figure wearing the same clothes, but when she follow it, she found nothing.* ________________________ There was this movie, I forgot what's the title of it, but the story was base on the real life story about a young boy, maybe 4-6 years old who has been hospitalized that it came to the point that he is fighting for death. His parents asked prayers to everyone they know and even to the church, by God's grace the boy was healed.
After how many days, her mother was so shocked when the boy said that he visit the heaven, and saw her sister. Her mother was confused on what her son's talking about but then the boy added that her sister looks exactly the same to her, and shared that she died during the time that she was a baby. The boy's mom can't stop her tears, as she remember her daughter who died inside her tummy. The story of my mom and the movie that I have watched are both showing how a person looks like years after death. In the case of my mom, she saw her dad exactly the same, grandpa doesn't get old; while in the case of the movie, the baby grow up. One of my friend said, that when there is a twin, and the other one die, the person living in this earth will grow old while the other one will live eternity same look on what age he/she died. If you have watched the movie **Coco**, then it supports my friend's statement. In the movie, Mama Coco, Miguel's great grandmother be with her father who looks too young than her at the end of the movie, the reason is that Mama Coco's father died at the young age, while Mama Coco die at the age of 100.
Life and death, is a kind of tricky and mysterious issue to talk about, although there are people who said that they die and saw heaven and hell, but still there's no accurate evidence to prove that these are true. My mom's coworker said that she wants to look good and put make-up, that at least when she die she looks beautiful. It's just a joke, but 10% true *charr*. I also watched a video clip of Vice Ganda, a famous genius comedian in the Philippines, who jokingly said that she puts make-up even when she is sleeping, so when she die she still looks beautiful and not *chaka*. Besides, whether we die young or old, physically look good or not, in the other life it doesn't matter at all because everything is in love, peace and joy. But let's remember, to live the life according to God's will. We should not make the phrase *"I'm just a human"*, to give an excuse for our wrong doings. When I dream about my father and brother, I also saw that they didn't grow older. My brother looks was still the same when he was 15 and my father still looks the same when he died at his 61st. Indeed, we are not just human, we are humans with free will and choices and if we did bad things it is our choice, not because it is our nature. We are humans who does bad and good choices.
i was thinking the moment we last saw them, how can we even recreate dead's image without enough evidences. Of course one would look similar when they died and when we think of them decades later, because our mind is unable to imagine at such length where we can exactly recreate their image. or maybe we are afraid to recreate their inaccurate images because we love them just the way they are not the way we want.
Maybe our eyes can only see their old image, Because maybe our hearts only wants to see of how they use to look like the last time we saw them, and maybe our minds are also not yet ready to accept the fact that they have already left. I think that's the possible reasons why we still saw them the way they use to look like when they are still alive. Our hearts and minds recreates their image.
There are different explanations naman din kasi Sis e, nakadepende sa kung ano yung pagbabasehan. For example sa science, they will say na kaya ganoon parin ang itsura dahil yun na yung image na nakatatak sa isip natin, pero in other beliefs, sinasabing kung ano ang itsura pagka patay ay yun na hanggang sa dulo.
Pwedeng totoo din yung sinasabi ng science sis, kasi yung hitsura nila bago sila namatay yun na talaga yung nanatili sa ating puso at isipan, kaya kahit minsan nga buto nalang nila makikita natin sa paglipas ng panahon sa isip at sa puso natin yung buong hitsura pa din yung nakikita ng mga mata natin kasi yun ang gusto ng puso natin. Parang ganun?
I heard similar stories sometime back, it's like there's another world where dead people go and stay there.
Yes, just like us Roman Catholic we have the belief of Purgatory
There are so many testimonies about people who have been reached the heaven and hell and share to us. It's very sad when we loss someone.
Exactly my dear, life and death is a really tricky and mysterious issue, and there is no evidence to prove what is the end of creation... No one knows where he will end up, I hope we all have a happy ending, whatever it is.
Let's pray for it Sis, besides the end will base on how we live in this earth.
In our religion sister, man remain in his young age in heaven after death either he was old or was at young age. Your story is interesting and agreed to boy who have seen his sister.

In human's imagination it may be same but I don't think in reality it's the same. Of course I have no proofs, lol!
I have no accurate answer to this. But I think after death, the person remains the same without any changes.
I just hope that before our time of death, we do all the things that satisfies us while living
