When adulthood hits you, it hits harder than you thought.
When adulthood hits you, there's a wave of uncertainty dropped before your eyes, suffocating you with the unknown.
When adulthood hits you, you can't just pause a button in a remote and have the process in hiatus.
When adulthood hits you, nothing seems familiar and responsibilities are piling up at a fast pace.
When adulthood hits you, it's like a slap from reality and wakes you up from daydreaming.
When adulthood hits you, it's expectation versus reality. You thought everything will be perfect but it turned out the opposite.
When adulthood hits you, you simply want to flip back the pages and go back to childhood where playing is the thought in your mind.
When adulthood hits you, it scares you with the unknown. It's like unclear water, you don't know what's its depth.
When adulthood hits you, you know it's about survival and providing what's essential.
When adulthood hits you, you know you've grown up already and you're going to a different path.
When adulthood hits you, it's like an earthquake; it happens instantly without you knowing.
Nevertheless, going through adulthood is a painful process. You don't know where to start, you don't know if you can do it on your own. But adulthood will embark us on the real battle in this world. Adulthood will awaken our minds to what reality offers.
When we were still at a younger age, life is sugar-coating everything. We see rainbows and butterflies everywhere. It's like we're living in a dream-- that's when we thought that life is magical.
So ironic how eager we were to grow up in a snap to embrace our adulthood, howbeit, when we reach adulthood, we wanted to go back when we were young in a snap as well.
But when adulthood hits us, it will incessantly drown us into the depths of our emotions. We're starting to like serenity; because the world is just broad to handle.
The moment adulthood is added to our vocabularies, we tend to forget what we were before and embrace the "us" we're not familiar with.
Sometimes, it could make us feel like we're a washed-out canvas. Seems like we're looking at the mirror with a reflection of a different person. Everything seems so unfamiliar. We have a variety of emotions towards this. This is not even our comfort zone.
Random thoughts sail through the waves of our emotions, making us wonder if things will get better in no time. It will make us doubt our potential. It will make us embrace the unfamiliar. It will make us reflect on every step that we have in life.
Howbeit, amidst this crisis, let's remind ourselves that this is a normal phase that humans go through. This is part of the cycle of life. You're not alone in this, we got this together. I know it's never easy to go on with this stage but this is something that we need to embrace. This may not be the comfort place we used to have, but this is something we need-- to grow.
Above all, embracing the journey towards adulthood takes a lot of courage. It's not easy as we are now facing the reality of life. Whatever happens, let's always remember that things happen for a reason. No matter hard it is, it will always lead us to where we are destined. Let's trust the path that He has paved for us. Let's keep the faith!

I thought when I get adult everything will be easy but I was wrong. Adulthood is difficult, responsibility as well as failure.

I'm still teen and I am afraid of adulthood. Just kidding! Erm, adulting is hard but you know it's part of life process and aging.
Just an overview of young adulthood, it's not easy denn huhu. Like you will somehow experience quarter life crisis and stuff. So just be prepared. But adulthood is fun as well though especially when you're surrounded with the right people.
If only I can choose between to become an adult or stay as kid, I will choose the latter. As a kids I dont have to think of a lot. I will just stay as a child and live a happy life. Bt it js impossible I know.

To be honest, reality is often not what we expect which in turn leaves us disappointed.

The pressure in adulthood is so different. I don't know to feel sad or happy over this. Sad that so many responsibilities and uncertainties. Happy that it will bring the better and stronger version of yourself. Let's not stress too much in this phase. Now we have the power and responsibility to take decisions, right or wrong. Go for the improvement and survival. The successful adults have crossed the same path, and so we do have to.

Adulthood really puts many responsibilities on us. It looked our free days of enjoyment had finished now and we have to breathe with burden of family needs. I agreed to your thoughts sister. You are very right.
Indeed my friend Blue. Guess we are not on the stage where we need to balance everything if we still wanted to enjoy and unwind more. Sad to say, I can't balance them lately, I'm more into work.
After we found out that being an adult is not fun, I used to think, when I grow up I will be able to buy everything, it turns out that the assumption is a big mistake, my friend, when I grow up it's not that I can get everything and have everything, but I don't.
