Saturday, 4th day of December 2021 and it's my 2nd entry for this month. I now missed 2 article averaging 50/50 of publishing an article and that's a bad news. I'm losing my passion to write or just I kinda get too busy. Well yesterday night is an excuse and I know that it is valid to be reason out for missing an article. What happen to my day yesterday night? I went to my friends house to attend the celebration for her birthday. We went there at exactly 6:00 pm because they call us in messenger group chat. I have no gift for her but that's no big deal. I thought that the party will end at 10:00 pm but that's not what happened. When we're celebrating we're not using our phone to focus on our bonding that's why the only time I check time on my phone t my surprised it is 10:43 pm I think and danggg. I knew from that, that I'll missed another Article. We all enjoy every bit of it and the party ended at past 12:00 pm. When we're about to go to our respective houses. My male friend invited us all male to have a sleepover over in his house. That's why we stay up all night until we all sleep at 3:00 in the dawn.
The story for my day above is not related to the topic I'm going to write. Just a long introduction about my day. Well now let's head to the topic itself
Helping should have limit
I was scrolling in my facebook account to burn my time because I feel lazy that time. And so I saw a post shared by one of my facebook friend. It is a story of someone he know. A small business man (let's make him robert) grinding for life because he wanted to escape poverty. He has this dedication and braveness to bet on life and enter the business world. He started his business from lending to bank which he already payed after a year because his because become successful. He build a business in which he is selling branded liquor. Different type of liquor imported from different countries all through out the world. He got a lot of money earned from it. In short, he already escaped the status of poverty. That's why every time he earn money, he doesn't forgot to help his family and friends. He's treating them when there's a chance and even gave them a job in his business.
From his deeds, he thought that he is doing a great job(I mean,he actually does). Everytime he gave a hand to someone it gave happiness to his heart and contentment because he believes that it's better to give than received. He know the life of having nothing at all that's why he's helping. However, he doesn't know the bad things of being good to everyone too much. Johny(not his real name) hus bestfriend who he gave a job on his business is too lazy. He doesn't do his responsibilities he's feeling the boss when Robert is not around. He keeps on yelling and bossing around to other staffs. Robert knew this kind of johny's behavior but he can't do anything because he know johny can't get other Job if he fired him. There's this relatives of him who do nothing but beg for money to Robert. Time by time, they ask for money. They're not asking for small amount of money but big, to the point that almost they're taking money from Robert to sustain their daily needs and sometimes to buy things they want.
Robert doesn't complain on everything, he just gave and gave to everyone who asked for his help. He thought that the more you give the more you'll receive. At the end, Robert doesn't gain profit from his business because all the money were sent to his relatives. His employees are even leaving him one by one and complaining for what johny is doing to all of them and to the God of Bad luck Robert was hit by it. A group of gang went to his shop and took all the money and expensive things in his shop. That time robert doesn't know what to do. He tried to survive his business but it failed. Robert become a thin man who has nothing at all. He went to his relatives to seek for help but they ignore Robert like they didn't know them at all. He went to John to have a house to stay yet he kick him out like he owes him none. At the end Robert become a beggar who once become a rich man.
Closing Thoughts
Lesson learned: there's nothing bad in helping others. Actually it is a great deed and will give peace to our heart and mind knowing that someone's life become lighter because we lend a hand. Giving is helping, and helping is caring. Not only for them but for ourselves. But be vigilant to your sorrounding, there's a lot of people in this world that will not hesitate to take advantage of the people with good heart. Being innocent doesn't make us dumb, it just means we have that too much pure hearted that we believe people doesn't do like that of things.
That's why helping should have limit. We must put boundaries to what we can give to them and on how much they can took advantage of us. We must limit ourselves to the people who we know deserve our help. Look at the people and choose who in the are willing to help themselves and that's who we will help. Because it impossible to help someone who doesn't help themselves.
Eto yung napapansin ko nung kalakasan ng ayuda. Madaming abusado at ayaw na magtrabaho. Nasanay na sa bigay. Yes, dapat talaga may limitations ang helping, well sa lahat ng bagay.
