What if Bitcoin Cash will be used in the Philippines for daily transactions?
Philippines is considered as developing country and most of the people are using internet to communicate, work, study, etc. Filipino also loves shopping online, buying foods online, playing online, and etc.
Most of the people, not only Filipinos, love the things related to internet but on the other hand, some Filipinos are still close-minded when it comes to cryptocurrency and thinking that โBitcoin and everything related to it is a scamโ not thinking that they are losing opportunity and blinded on different fake news.
Now, we all know that Bitcoin (Cash) is created for peer-to-peer electronic cash and have mass adoption on every part of the world to spread awareness on every people.
According to the article written by @BantayanIsland , There are only 11 merchants accepting Bitcoin Cash on the main island of Luzon followed by merchants from the Visayas Region with just eight (8) merchants accepting BCH. In Mindanao, there are only around five (5) merchants accepting Bitcoin Cash as a form of payment in exchange for the products and services provided by the company or the merchant owners.
It's good to know that there are some merchants in our country who's accepting Bitcoin Cash, but we're hoping that it will increase in the near future since we want to have a mass adoption.
So What if Bitcoin Cash will be used in the Philippines for daily transactions?
This topic is also applicable not only on the Philippines but I will focus on the Philippines so I can explain it easily since I'm living there.
Shopping Online
As what I've said, Filipino loves shopping online and buying things online, but one of the problem is having transaction fees if you will use your bank or any applications such as (Gcash- wallet application used in many ways such as paying bills, buying internet and etc. They only supported our fiat and not related to BCH). If you will use Gcash, you will still pay transaction fees for sending your money to other account and that can be added to your expenses plus the shipping fees.
On the other hand, if we will use Bitcoin Cash, we can lessen your expenses and pay only for the product and shipping fees since Bitcoin Cash has only low transaction fees and almost nothing.
Buying foods online
In this case, they also have the same idea. We can also pay the company using Bitcoin Cash to lessen your expenses and save more of your money. The transaction is not a problem since it has a fast transaction speed.
Buying foods in fast food chains
Most of us are familiar on the popular fast food chains not only on the Philippines but also in other country such as Jollibee, McDonald's, Greenwhich and etc. In the Philippines, we need to fall in line to get and pay for our order.
Now, what if we will use BCH? The answer is simple. What if Jollibee (or other merchants) will have an official website or application where you can select your order from their menu using your phone then QR code or the BCH address of the merchant will be displayed then pay for your order. It is easy instead of falling in line! You only need to sit on your chosen table, scroll on their website or application then pay for your order using Bitcoin Cash.
Public transportation
In the Philippines, we have this vehicle called โJeepneyโ and it is considered as a medium for public transportation. The thing is, you will ride on the jeepney then pay on the driver. So what if we will use BCH? Well, before you enter the vehicle, there's a QR code where you only need to scan it to pay for your transportation fees. This is also applicable in bus since it is mostly used in transportation when you are going to your working place (shuttle service).
Sending money online (Smart padala)
This option is only applicable if many people are using Bitcoin Cash on everyday life where most of the transactions are used in crypto not on our fiat. If we want to send money (or BCH) to our relatives, we can use Bitcoin Cash so we can avoid much transaction fees, especially that companies like LBC, Smart padala, and etc are deducting much fees when you are sending money.
Conclusion
Bitcoin Cash will be a big help to everyone who's having a hard time when it comes to transaction, it can also save your time and money.
However, the things listed above is only possible if the government will have a better governance and support it. Since one of the problem in our country is internet, these things has only 60% (for me) chance to happen (as of now), but take note that this is developing country, in the future, this will be possible. At some point, many people (even in the Philippines) still supporting Bitcoin Cash community and continue the legacy of peer-to-peer electronic cash by accepting Bitcoin Cash as a payment.
As a Bitcoin Cash supporter, I also have a small business where I accept Bitcoincash as a payment, and still having a customer (even few) who paid BCH to buy internet.
In the future, I want to have a BIG business that will accept Bitcoin Cash as a payment.
Note: The things listed above are only WHAT IF'S, it's either it will happen or not.
Summary:
Use Bitcoincash in buying online.
Use Bitcoincash in transportation.
Use Bitcoincash in buying foods.
Use Bitcoincash in sending money.

I tried to get my mom to open crypto wallet and she said no. Lol. She was afraid of being scammed. I guess I need to be more convincing.
