Foam Party and Live Band: A Quick Escape From Reality

I was waiting for them to send a message to our group chat about having a get-together and finally, they did it. Staying from our house makes me bored and interaction with other people is what I need—physically. 

Translation: Let's go to the resort guys.

A friend asked us to attend the party at the resort near our place, though it was unplanned, 9 of us managed to go and attend the party. 

Since it was unexpected, most of us don't have a budget for it. But since these events aren't always happening, we took advantage of it to the point that one of my friends offered to borrow some money from him so everyone can go. So some of us went to the party with debt…but they have a side-hustle so they can pay it.

Translation: We can earn it again. Let's just have fun once. There's even a live band.

This might not seem right financially, but she has a point. Sometimes we need to have fun after working hard and we deserve it.

Going back, we sum up our money for the cottage where we will be staying and we only reserved the Small Kubo so we can save money. You see, we don't have enough funds for this so we don't have food…but we have alcohol. I already ate before we went to the resort though.

The resort has a small park for kids so they can play. It has a trampoline and stunning light decorations for its design.

We entered the resort and it had fewer people than we expected. My friends bought some alcohol and we started to drink. It was fun, we had a conversation and reminisced about the events when we were in elementary school. Some talked about their love story (yeah a puppy love, perhaps?), the weird activities that our teacher made as an activity (writing 1-1000 in our paper), our school enemies, and more. 

The live band continued their performance as we were drinking alcohol, enjoying the moment. There are times that I am thinking about working but I try to forget everything and enjoy the party. 

After a few minutes they turned on the foam machine and it created bubbles from the water. Though we are expecting more bubbles, it is not bad…tolerable. The live band was also singing some party music that made the crowd wild and dance to the loud music. People were shouting and jumping, enjoying the party. 

But here's the thing, the band started to sing the popular jingle music of the elected President, and the crowd was shouting louder and wild…the music line that you can hear: “KAIBIGAN MO! KAIBIGAN KO! SIYA SI…”.

Sadly, I can't attach a video recording to this blog. Although there are only a few people who attended the party, their energy makes the resort alive.

We started to swim when we were drunk. The people were shouting louder at midnight, maybe because most of them were drunk…and the music pushed us to shout, jump in the pool, and have fun. 

It is funny that I am not the type of person that will shout and go with the crowd at a party but I did it, not because I am drunk, but because I am learning from this book: The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck. I always think about the reaction of the people when they saw me in that situation but I realized that I should have fun and not give a fuck to them. 

We continued and talked in the pool. We also had a fun conversation talking about everything. It was a fun experience where we reunited and reminisced about embarrassing and fun experiences from school. I can say that we paid for a worthy experience that cannot be replaced by someone else.

I decided to blur their faces because I don't have permission from them to include them in this blog. Sadly, we don't have a photo when we are complete. 

Giving yourself some free time isn't bad. Sometimes we need to have fun, vacation and parties aren't only for rich people. It is a way of treating ourselves after the long work hours. You deserve the party after working hard. 

Moreover, learn to forget your work during your rest time. You need peace of mind. But always weigh the situation if it is necessary or not. Keep your life balanced.
