3 Platforms That Helps The Nature | How Can You Help and #LetTheEarthBreathe
The hashtags #LetTheEarthBreathe and #ScientistRebellion were trending on Twitter last week after a group of scientists started to protest to express and show the worst situation on the planet where they warned that rapid and deep cuts to greenhouse gas emissions are necessary by 2025 to avoid catastrophic climate effects [1]. Over 1,000 scientists from different countries participated in the protest together with Peter Kalmus, a NASA climate scientist with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
(I don't know if the spelling of Breath(e) is wrong. If it is wrong, it is funny that more than 1.96 million people used it.)
He said, “We've been trying to warn you guys for so many decades…The scientists of the world have been ignored. And it’s gotta stop. We’re going to lose everything.” [2]. There are a lot of issues in the world but this is the worst, creepiest, and most disturbing. The risk of our lives is at stake and the outcome is based on our actions.
This is why everyone must unite and focus on one goal; to save our planet. Some different companies and platforms contribute to saving the planet by having a program to plant trees and revive nature. Here are 3 different well-known platforms that have this program.
Ecosia
This is a type of search-engine where it uses the ad revenue for reforestation. By simply using this search engine, you can be one of the people that will help to plant a tree. Every search you make will generate a profit for Ecosia that will be used as a fund for planting trees.
According to Ecosia, they support over 20 tree-planting projects in 15 different countries; Peru, Brazil, Madagascar, Nicaragua, Haiti, Colombia, Spain, Morocco, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Indonesia [3]. To assure a successful project, they are planting in the places that were dead but have an alive environment in the past. They are trying to revive the place and continue to thrive.
Forest App
This app aims to increase the productivity of its users by planting trees. The concept is simple, the Forest app has a timer that can be changed by the user depending on their time allotment. While you are doing your task, turn on the app and start the timer. As the timer keeps counting, your virtual tree will grow in your forest and earn coins inside the app. On the other hand, if you use your phone while doing your task, the tree will be dead in your virtual forest.
The best thing about this app is they have partnerships with the real team that offers real tree planting. The virtual coins or credits that are earned by the user can be used to spend inside the app or donate that will be used by the partners for real tree planting. So basically, every time that the user uses the app, they are helping to save the planet and minimize the risk of climate change.
Pornhub
Who would think that a well-known porn site has also a good vision for the planet? This project by Pornhub isn't new. Based on my research, there were articles last 2014 about the announcement [4], and as of writing, the site has already planted 15,473 trees.
The project was implemented as part of the celebration of Arbor Day where people are encouraged to plant trees and ornamental plants to help nature. A tree can be planted by Pornhub for every 100 videos viewed in their “Big Dick” category [5].
How can you help the planet?
Fortunately, we can be a hero by simply doing simple acts that might be helpful to our planet. Planting trees and plants can help to balance nature and the environment. This will increase oxygen and reduce the greenhouse gases that trap the heat on our planet that will cause climate change [6].
Learning proper waste disposal also helps to reduce pollution and maintain cleanliness. Don't be a hypocrite by using the tag #LetTheEarthBreathe but you are acting opposite from your words.
Always remember that nature can live without us but we can't live without nature. So we need to be responsible and take care of it. Listen to the people who are knowledgeable enough and not the people who only know money and take advantage of the planet's resources.

I wasn't expecting that about Pornhub lol! But good job to all of these platforms.
