It is inevitable that every man's success, there is always a woman behind it, whether in business, sports or war, during the olden days. But oftentimes, women are taken for granted. Most people regard women as "second class" citizens or maybe interior compared to men. What most people didn't know ia that, what men can do, women can do also.
For quiet some time women have been neglected and were put in one corner of history. It was then, during the Renaissance age. But now that we are in the new age, almost if not all, regard women almost superior than man. I continue that some will disagree, after all, they are entitled to their own opinion. But probably, those that are not for this opinion are chauvinist or maybe weaklings if they happen to be men, or women in any case.
Women before are only left at home to do house chores, or plainly serve their family. It even came to the point in Philippine history that women are not entitled to vote, nor attend gatherings or meetings pertaining the country.
But who nurtured those soldiers in war who were wounded? Tandang Sora. And who succeeded Diego Silang in war when he was unfortunately killed? His loving wife, Gabriela Silang ( You students know this ) and what do you call them? WOMEN. That is only in scope of Philippine History.
However there are also some sectors in society that upholds the importance of women. These are the people that knew what women can do, and believe in their capacity. These are the people that acknowledge women as human beings just as equal as men. These are people that gives concen to the persons who bore them. And I for one, salute these people that thinks the same.
