It's Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve..

God created Adam and Eve, man and woman,male and female. The two sexes are part of His design.

Then the Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to cultivate it and guard it...Then the Lord God said, "It is not good for the man to live alone. I will make a suitable companion to help him.' Then Lord God made the man fall into deep sleep,and while he was sleeping,He took out one of the man's ribs and closed up the flesh. He formed a woman out of the rib and brought her to him. Then the man said," At last,here is one of my own kind...bone taken from my bone,and flesh from my flesh. "Woman is her name because she was taken out of man." (Genesis 3:15,18,21-23)

This is how the Bible says man and woman were created. They did not just come out of the hollows of mature bamboo stems, as folk legend would have us believe. They were designed by God and were given specific functions to fulfill.

God's design starts with the body,which He Himself formed. The way a man and a woman's bodies were created reveal what he or she was meant to be. It is the woman,for example,who is expected to carry a child and give birth to it. A man doesn't the capacity to do so.

Man,having thicker skin,heavier blood,larger bones and more muscles,is known to be the stronger sex. He is expected to care for the woman and provide for her needs.

Woman,being created as man's companion is expected to help and support him. These roles are impressed on us even during childhood; the boy is given a ball or a gun as a toy; the girl is given a doll or a toy cooking set.

Even Restroom doors are labeled "MALE AND FEMALE", LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, BOYS AND GIRLS or HE AND SHE". Sometimes symbols or images of the boy and girl are used.

A person who does not live to God's design will not find fulfillment in his or her life.

There are certain roles,however,which are dictated by the society and culture a person belongs to. During ancient times,and until a few decades ago a certain countries,only men were allowed to receive an education,go to work or hold leadership positions. Women were to stay at home,do the laundry,cook and care for the children. This is no longer strictly followed in our country. Women are pushing for equal rights and opportunities.

Not everything a man is,has and does, however,can be copied by a woman,and vice versa. There are certain things that are meant for men alone,and certain things that are meant for women alone.

Homosexuality and Lesbianism are acquired behaviors caused by several factors,some so complex that they are hard to understand. They are not part of God's design,however. No one is a homosexual by birth. There is no homosexual gene . It is understood,nevertheless,that certain individuals are homosexuals not because they wanted to be one but because their experiences and environment have caused them to be so. People with this kind of problem should not be ridiculed but helped..and treatment is possible. The homosexual should ask for God's forgiveness,turn from his reprobate ways and resolve not to live a homosexual lifestyle. God can change his life.

Remember; homosexual characteristics and traits are not in born. They acquired and learned and therefore,can be unlearned depending upon the willingness and openness of the individual to God.

Professional counseling,guidance and supervision might sometimes also be needed.

Sex is genetic..We are born with it. Gender is acquired. It is the process of developing masculinity or ferminity. The learned characteristics should be appropriate to the person's sexuality. Homosexuality arises when an individual acquires and develops a gender contrary to his sexuality.

We are likened to a lock and key. They can exist, independently,but put together they accomplish a purpose. Each is needed by the other. Two locks do not fit,just as two keys do not fit.

A male must perform his manly duties and responsibilities.

A female should function according to her womanly role.
