The day normally starts with the hummingbirds which wakes us all from sleep that it's time to go face whatsoever that life has in store for us for that very day, then followed by going to the hand pumping borehole to fetch water since good water was not or would I say scarcely available. Then going to fetch water was normally done in group since it was all about love, group work and all of that. While fetching of water was the sole duty of the male child the females never hesisted in sweeping the house and washing the plates as their was division of labour, the system then was so unique that nobody needed to remind the other about his or her duty or duties as the case maybe, their was real love and unity unlike what we have today.the struggle wasn't about competition but was all about survival their was love.

They early morning chores would go on to end with the eating of breakfast and the going to mostly public schools by the young ones as obtainable then, slate was virtually seen in every household as it was the first place a growing child needed to exhibit his or her writing skill, not forgetting that it was usually done with the use of the chalk stick which could be of any color, then at sch pupils especially those of them in primary three(3) would be waiting eagerly for the break time to reach as it showed them the way to the door as the saw learning then a major heart attack, not withstanding all of these the still managed to make going to school a duty which must be carried out almost every day of the week teachers on the other hand carried out their duty with passion, they taught so eagerly then unlike today, they equally tried in spicing up learning through some activities like inter house sports and the school then was perhaps a place where discipline and good moral was inculcated into the young ones.the day's academic activity would go on to end with closing devotion.

Back home after school dismissal, some would go to help their parents at the market place while others would go home to play but at the end of the day,all would think it's all over but the children are not yet ready to go to bed, being the fact that thier was hardly a case of kidnap then and all lived in peace and hamony so their was less or no need for one to be afraid. They male ones among then would erect a house or houses with sticks and cover it with leafs, while the females would ensure that the kept it going by cooking pebbles and mixing it with water though they did cook real food in few occasions after which they would stay to play hide and seek which never ended until late into the night,a child aged eight would comfortably go and hid under pawpaw tree at the odd hour of the night with fear until he or she is caught or called to come out as a result of having cought another person.Parents never worried much about their children as they knew they were safe, life was genuinely lived and was worth leaving then.

The market place wasn't an exception too, people who had other things to do would spread their wares on thier table and would indicate the prices of their wares by just placing stones by its side, they would then come back in the evening only to find thier goods gone and their complete money staring at them, ooh what a time to be alive then, humans behaved like angels then, perhaps I would end by stating that their was a time honesty was the order of the day and prosperity thrived.Lets go back to the root.
