Impacts of colonization in Africa: using Nigeria as a case study
Talking about colonialism, it means when a particular territory take total control of another territory, regulating the affairs of another territory. Colonialism is a situation in which a particular set of group of people forcibly or impose obedience on another set of group. When a territory is strip of its freedom by another territory this is also known as colonialism. Also when an external body overthrown the government activities of a country forcing their belief, rules and customs on such country is said to be colonialism. The idea of colonialism is that it makes citizens look like strangers in their father’s land. Unknown cultures are brought and are forced on people this gives such people a new way of life. Colonization has its own positive and negative impact in Africa; let’s take a look at positive and negative impacts one after the other:
Positive impacts;
▪Introduction of religion: the arrival of Christianity brought so many positive changes i.e. Christianity encourage equal right and elevate education. Also in the southern part of Nigeria where giving birth to twins is a taboo as a result of this, twins given birth in that region will be killed immediately, the oncome of Christianity preached against it and urge them to love and support each other. The European missionaries introduce Christianity to their subject and they are been brought out of darkness to light.
▪Improvement in technology and modernized way of life: improved technology was introduced by the colonial master, a lot of modernization was brought such as construction of good road, drinkable water, modern education, provision of social amenities, building of standard healthcare centre.
▪Enlargement of land: the advent of colonial rule brought about enlargement of land for villages and various towns. There was no Nigeria then because people were confined then they couldn’t move, this enlargement in land gives people freedom to settle in any part of the country after the colonial master has already named the country Nigeria.
▪Revealing of natural resources: natural resources were discovered by the colonial master due to the development they brought, people were given opportunities to work and fend for themselves and family even though the pay was minimal.
▪Introduction of foreign language: the adoption of English language introduced by the colonial master made communication easy and suitable as there are lots of tribes with different languages then. But the introduction of English language unites everyone and makes their communication effective.
Negative impacts;
▪Lack of economic independent: till date Nigeria still depend on Britain for supply of so many things. The survival of Nigeria depends on the things we import from Britain. For example, textiles materials, various equipments and parts are imported also crude oil are exported to other countries to be refined there and are imported back to Nigeria.
▪Prone to diseases and virus: as the colonial masters brought so many diseases, especially sexually transmitted diseases they also contracted diseases from their subject such as malaria etc.
▪Separation, death and abandoning: during the era of colonial master, they caused separation between peoples, families so many of them could not withstand it, and so many flew looking for a greener pasture while some remain. The colonial master exercise supreme authority over the people, they tortured and exploit them, they make them to do hard work, this result to the death of so many of the colonies because of the hardship they were been subjected to.
▪Bastardization of property and culture: the colonial masters contribute to the bastardization of the beliefs, norms and culture of the people. The people lost some valuable aspect of their culture like mode of dressing. The colonial master took their property forcefully from them and exploits them greatly.
Conclusion, it will be partial to say colonialism has been helpful all through and or not.

There is life and death in your tongue: use it wisely
Proverb 18:21 says death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life]. You can either use your tongue to speak life or death, you can either use your tongue to encourage and build others or use it to kill them, the choice is yours but always use your tongue wisely. Words are powerful and they don’t go away easily especially the hurting ones we say to other. You can say a word of affirmation to your friend, siblings or spouse they will surely appreciate it and forget in the long-run but immediately you switch to the hurting word; they hurt, sting, remain and define. We all tend to forget a word of kindness said to us but the hurting and damaging ones remain and stick to our brain.
The powers of word that influence us show our weakness. Whether we take it serious or not the tongue hold great power and we were taught in the bible about it and the proper way to use it. Do you know your tongue reflect your mind; a stinging and hostile word comes from a stinging and hostile mind. Do you also know you will give account for every word that comes out of your mouth? Yes you will; that piercing words you say to your friends and colleagues, those filthy remarks about people around you and that hostile word you said to someone you met briefly instead of you to use your tongue to encourage and influence them towards heaven you are pushing them to the other side.
Words are jars; they have in them the ability to lead, direct, teach, bring joy and peace, bring love and care. They are also jars that can kill, destroy, reduce, mislead, demolish. So therefore, the jars that proceed from your mouth have the power to lift and encourage a life and also have the power to demolish it. Most time, we forgot how careless we can be when it comes to our choice of words the power words that encourage us or bring us down.
Words have repercussion; the words we speak can either make or mar us, they can either build us up or bring us down, words have repercussion in this life, there is no any other rationale rather than to watch what comes out of your mouth as God is watching and listening. Therefore speak in love, listen more, be slow to speak, speak the truth always and use healthy words.
What kind of words do you speak to your life? Your tongue can encourage or forbid God’s blessing over your life. When you are lost in the challenges of life never speak ill or negative words to yourself because these words are self-fulfilling prediction. Stop delaying your greatness with negative words, whatever you speak to your life, you will reap it.
Always remember your tongue is the most powerful organ in your body- whatever you say can either give you life or death, however you can provoke God’s blessing by speaking life to that situation or you can use the same tongue to affirm negativity over your life. Speaking life simply means you are affirming the result that God has already promise and given to you i.e. those greatness and success you desire in life.
If you desire changes in any area of your life guess what your tongue is the best option to use to bring that desired outcome. Look for words in the bible that speaks to that issue or issues you are facing, read and meditate on it and say it loud everyday so as to be part of your daily routine and surely you will see the outcome.

Racism and racial bullying : the dangers and solutions
In the past few years, racism has been discussed by scholars. The question by them is what really establishes racism. So many observations were made as to what bring about racism. So many anti-racism campaigners debated about how to overturn it.
What is racism? This is a belief system; the belief that one race or ethnic group is superior or inferior to another race or group of races. Funny enough expert hasn’t discovered a single facts that human being belong to a certain race. Any individual that looks down on another person as a racist need to be taken to psychiatric centre. Looking at the meaning of racist it’s someone who forcefully prevents another person from their freedom. There are two types of racism; we have direct and indirect. Direct racism means when a person maltreat you than another person when in similar condition simply because of your colour or ethnic origin while indirect racism means when a law treat everyone in the same manner but has an unjust cause on more people base on their colour or ethnic origin.
Discrimination this day; unfortunately, racism remains in our modern society as well. Let’s take for an example; black joblessness has increase more than white joblessness for years now. Reality wise it means partiality chip in to the black-white joblessness gap. Let’s look at the dangers of racism;
▪Social apartheid or segregation: this means a gap from a social gathering. Segregation can be in form of residential segregation, geographical segregation etc. segregation can take place within schools, workplaces and health care facilities. School segregation for example can come as a racial differences in registration of a professional course versus less professional courses between the white and black. Racial segregation can also happen at immigration situation.
▪Health inequalities: some scholars few years ago say there are connections between health and societal inequality which they later find out that this is related to racism. Conclusion was made then that racism affects health inequalities.
Let’s talk about the solution of racism;
▪Extol other cultures: stigmatization is brutal and is a hindrance, so arise for cultural differences in your local area by encouraging local enterprise run by immigrants in your country. Try various cuisines from various range of culinary culture. See movies from other regions or countries.
▪Never indulge in prejudice and hate speech: in America and Europe recently there has been a rise in hate speech blaming people living in their country from another region and minority groups for the unpleasant situations of their own countries. Speaks up for immigrants in your country, if something is posted on social media that shows prejudice, leave a remark to let them know intolerant speech is unkind and not palatable to hear.
▪Teach the young generation kindness: irrational hostile attitude and detest can be curb among young ones, as children learn such behaviour from adult living around them and also from friends, books they read and also social media. Fighting negativity begins at an early stage. Let them know we are all human and equal before God.
▪Lend your voice for harassed people around you, fight for them if it’s safe for you to do it: if you see someone or group of people been physically abused or verbally abuse, try and help them if it’s safe for you. Bullies power dies when people united to help the immigrants. Verbal and physical attack is not right and should not be accepted. These people deserve to be treated well.
Don’t except the solution to be easy give it time and we all will be free from the dread that causes racism.
Conclusion, let’s all work hand in hand to address the issues related to racism so that the world will be a better place for us all.

If there’s a website or link you are directing your recipients to, make sure you it’s easily accessible to them. Remember to always convert your text into a link. It makes things easier for them.
▪Don’t write a fable: it’s not a bad idea to have a lot of things to write in your email, but it doesn’t benefit you to force it all in a single email. Split your message into smaller topic-based email if it’s too complicated and lengthy.
▪Always include subheadings and bullet: yes, I have received an email that was one better than usual long block text. I had to read it multiple times before I could understand the message the sender is trying to pass across. By introduce a clear subheadings you’re improving the legibility by breaking your message into sections.
▪Make it an habit to always check your spelling: always run a spell check every single time you send out an email because your recipients can be more knowledgeable than you do. It won’t take anything away from you if you take your time to proofread before sending your email to make sure you’re being clear and brief. Furthermore, don’t abbreviate by using ‘u’ for ‘you’.
▪Always include signature in your email: if you are sending email either for business or personal purpose, you should always include your signature. It shouldn’t be something decorative, your signature include name, phone number, business name, address etc. don’t let your recipient search everywhere before they can contact you.
Conclusion, following the aforementioned tips will make your recipients extremely happy when they receive your email.

My Life My Journey
Growing up was a bit awesome and difficult for me, I grew up with my grandmother in a rural area. No electricity,no pipe-borne water,no good road....all the children in the village usually go to the river immediately after the sun set......we had to trek from one village to the other to get a drinkable stream water. Grandma happens to be a devoted Christian who always pray for me to scale through in life. I started schooling very late when my mate in the city have collected their first school leaving certificate I was in primary 1 in a government school, but I was determined that age won't stop me from getting to the top. I was very bright always topping the class even though it's a local school. Immediately after school every day, all the children in my neighborhood always go to the farm before going to the river.
Life was sweet and difficult at the same time, sweet in a way that I always have plenty food to eat but difficult because I had to work and work in the farm in order to get the farm produce to eat. No time to go and greet my friends after school because i have to be with my grandma 24/7.
Combining school with farm work is a bit tedious, I don't usually read but God bless me with retentive memory always assimilate whatever our teachers taught us. Fast forward to writing my entrance exam into secondary school....I came out as the overall student in my village as a result of this I was given a scholarship by the king, everyone was happy for me, it was a day of joy.
The school is close to my grandma house, so I always have time to finish my chores even before the assembly time. Day 1 at school, everyone was new so we barely talk to each other. The principal addressed all the new student and directed us to our class. Being a student in that school was fun as I later made new friends and we all help ourselves to attain greater height.
I was so popular in the school because I was the senior prefect girl and everyone including the teacher like having me around them. Time to round up with our senior secondary class and write qualification exam to the university. I was a bit scared because the subjects are much and I don't usually have time to read. The principal urged us to do our best in order to pass all our exams at once.
On this faithful day, I was coming back from the farm when I met one of our teacher at home with grandma. She broke the news to me that I passedthe senior class and the university qualification exams and not only that I was the overall best student in our state. I was shocked a village girl becoming the overall best student.
This caught the interest of the state governor and I was given another scholarship to study any course of my choice in the university. Wao, I've always wanted to be an engineer but I gave up the dream because I have no one to sponsor my education. The governor requested for my presence with my grandma, we were given a lot of gifts..... Grandma was so proud of me, she keep praising and eulogizing me in my local dialect. I was happy and fulfilled.
Life in the university was great, I had to leave grandma in the village and go to the city to school, God's favor was all over me as I keep attracting great people to myself, I was still the best student in my class, all my lecturers like me a lot because I was the only female in my class.
I came out of the university as a first-class student and I was given a scholarship by my school to go and study abroad for my masters.
Conclusion, life is sweet when you make God the pioneer of your life.
How to write a first-class article that sell - Tips to writing a killer article
Please note that opinion writing is very intellectual task, as it needs analytical thinking, unique ideas and debate skills. Writing an article is more difficult than what you may have written for schools, personal social media posts or for blogs. To write a first-class article, you need to keep it precise, simple and short . By keeping it short we recommend a word length between 300-700 words. If you are writing more than this, I’ll suggest you break it into smaller articles. The quality of an article is usually defined by its motif, the language used and by the easiness in reading an article. Let’s look at each element in detail;
▪A catchy topic always attracts audience. Choose something unique to write about, which gives you a chance to express your opinion or reflect your unique knowledge. Select a topic that you are best suited to write through your personal background and experience. Choose a topic that will add value to the lives of the readers. So if a topic is interesting and one has paid attention to it, he or she is sure to look it through.
▪Configured information is usually better for understanding. It is more suitable to read smaller paragraphs than larger ones with complicated sentences. Article writing features into 3 sections: introduction, body and conclusion. Always make sure these are well structured.
▪An article should have a sub-heading. In this way the information is usually understood in a better way. Also, sub-heading add visibility or attractiveness to any article, even if there are some boring elements in it. Make sure your article is easy to read. Use short sentences and simple words. Remember we have an international reader-base including all age-groups.
▪A good article should be up to date. Reading the information one should constantly relate it to modern world or to the current situation. There are many cases when a person spends too much time on writing that the issue becomes too old to discuss. Always make sure your information is accurate. Avoid abstract subjects or vague insights. Your point should be clear, crisp and authoritative.
▪No grammar and spelling mistakes are allowed in quality articles because in versa case one shows that he/she is an amateur and does not deserve any attention. Grammatical error is a turn off to readers.
▪Each article should make people oppose. Article critique is the best tool in understanding that the point discussed in the article under analysis are significant and raise human interest. Readers are fond of commenting and criticizing the data they read.
▪Quality writing should be necessary to readers. Coming across an article one needs to understand that the information there can be used either in personal or public needs.
▪Any article should be unique. It means that one cannot copy any information from outside. Despite the fact that the title may be similar to other articles online, a good article will have some unique idea or will be presented from an unexpected angle.
▪A good article should have a list. Bullet points are one of the best ways to deliver the necessary information to the reader in a simple and structured matter.
▪A good closing paragraph or conclusion is necessary and is often short. While researching and writing your article, focus on what you are trying to say and say it clearly and fully. Don’t introduce new topic in your conclusion. If you’ve done your job well, there should be little left to say when you reach your conclusion. Keep it short and simple.

Through foxes that destroy relationships and marriages pt2.

No Breathing Space Attitude
Even the most fun loving people, need alone time sometimes, maybe not as frequently as quiet people but they do crave silence and "me time" sometimes. Everyone needs some alone time,no matter how long you have been together. Just give your partner some space to breathe. Feeling choked in a relationship can harm the relationship. Try not to become a "handbag" all the time.
We all need to take a minute to ourselves now and then. By having breathing space away from your partner you are able to focus on your own needs and give yourself that much needed time to accomplish whatever you need,no interruptions! Giving each other this alone time allows you to spend the day however you choose, from a day at the spa or a relaxing walk on the beach, put your need first.
A relationship shouldn't consume me nor should I be so needy as to want all of my partner's time. There's life outside of every relationship and it ought to be lived and enjoyed. Yes, room to breathe, space and alone time are necessary. I don't know what I would do or how I would show up in my marriage if there wasn't time just for me. In my opinion, smothering ,questioning our spouse's and every move and not allowing him/her to go anywhere without us, just isn't healthy. It's stressful to both partner's and display a level of distrust. In the long run,it causes regrets and resentment, which both lead to more serious relationship issues.
The Drama King Or Queen Attitude
Some couple exist only for drama, they create drama everywhere they go. When a partner whom you may have corrected in the past to always drop dirty clothes in the laundry basket, and for some reason they forget to do so continuously, don't cause a scene or count how many times in one week they keep repeating this habit. Couples rarely have the say character, while one person is calm, the other may be hot in character.
We talk a lot about "drama" when it comes to relationships and how to avoid it. Drama in this case, unnecessary or manufactured conflict. We all realize how much drama can sabotage an otherwise healthy relationship and why it's so important to establish and maintain healthy boundaries in order to drama-proof our lives. But we rarely ever stop to think we might be the ones causing drama.
It's an easy thing to overlook. We tend to see drama as being something other people do. Men especially tend to see themselves as drama-free zones; even among otherwise egalitarian and feminist men, there's a tendency to equate "drama" with women. But drama is gender agnostic;men are just as prone to creating unnecessary conflict as women.
Let's Sweep It Under The Rug Attitude
Many people have things that they may not be able to tolerate or find irritating, this majorly deals with partner's habit that you do not like, so instead of sweeping it under the rug, bring it up and iron it out. If not attended to, it will build up gradually into a big issue. Small things matter. There are countless reasons why couple can have conflicts throughout their marriage. Interestingly, most of these don't really start as big or serious. Small issues "swept under the rug" can mount and grate on your nerves until your both ready to explode.
Avoiding your marital problems can only be a temporary strategy. Sooner or later, these issues need to be resolved, if a meaningful peace is hoped for. If you can't seem to resolve them with stirring deep-seated negative emotions, don't force it. Seek a sensible solution with the help of a professional counselor.
Some couple believe that "why should I risk starting an argument when things aren't too bad?". In fact, this does make a lot of sense. Even if things aren't great it's true that they could be made worse. So, without the communication skills to address issues effectively . It is understandable why so many people resort to sweeping things under the rug. The problem with this strategy is that the short term gains are outweighed by the long term damage to the relationship. When relationship issues aren't addressed they don't usually go away or get better on their own.
Instead you are left with a feeling of discontent that is often felt (but rarely understood) by other person. The effect over time is a feeling of distance that grows between you and the other person. Over many years as multiple issues compound the distance can cripple and eventually destroy the shared bond you used to enjoy.
The End
Tehila-agony of a bastard child
Tehila!Tehila!!Tehila!!!.......my grandma called shaking and sweating profusely. The sleep hurriedly disappear from my face, I watch my grandma gasping for air as she hold my hands and muttered a word of prayer saying "helpers will locate you in the race of life". That was her last word has she gave up the ghost.
Growing up with grandma has been a source of joy since I lost my mother at birth and my father's identify was unknown since she was raped by a gang of thugs.I gracefully embrace everything she thought me since I'm the only grandchild she had. Life hasn't been a bed of rose for both of us. I started hawking at the age of 5 so as to fend for me and grandma as she was of age.
The little income we made was mainly for feeding and shelter, thank goodness no need to pay for house rent since we've been staying in an uncompleted building through out our journey, anytime the owner of the building come and send us packing we move to the next uncompleted building. That has been our life for 10years.
Grandma has been seriously ill and no money to take her to the hospital for treatment, her health status started deteriorating when she couldn't eat by herself again then I knew there's fire on the mountain. But on this faithful day, she woke up hale and hearty and told me to go and hawk as usual that by the time I come back she would have prepared something delicious for me. With joy in my heart I gladly dashed out thinking grandma is back on her feet.
On getting home in the evening, I met her sleeping and as a good grandchild I tipped toe to where she kept my food and I devoured a delicious bowl of rice. I was exhausted so I slept off beside her.......that was when she called out my name 3times, blessed me and she gave up.
I begin to imagine how unlucky I am,no parents,no grandparents,no siblings,no friends. Life became meaningless to me as I have no one left. I cried out loud,no comfort from anywhere. I decided to run away leaving grandma corpse in an uncompleted building where we stay .
Stepping out of the building with my clothes folded in a black nylon, I saw a middle age man, stepping out of a nice car, he looked at me and say young girl what are you doing here? I was about to take off and run when his security guards grab me and dragged me to his car, I was speechless all I could do was to weep.
The man asked again, young girl why are you here?.... I couldn't summon courage to talk I only pointed at the building, he said yes that's my building, what are you doing here?.... I keep pointing at the building, he then told his guards to go and check the building, immediately one of them shouted she has murdered an old woman.
This is just the beginning............
The sweet love that made my life miserable
The sweet love that made my life miserable......
My name is Tacha and this is my story……..
I woke up on a Sunday morning feeling weak, tired and empty. I asked myself what held me down in this relationship. After 7years, I still can’t differentiate between love, lust and infatuation.
7years ago I met Jones in a shopping mall, he’s gorgeous, neat and down to earth………Hi, my name is Jones Brown stretching forth his hand, he swept me off the floor with his cute smile, I replied I’m Tacha……That was the beginning………Jones was the CEO in jorach tech ltd,..he has everything a young man could dream of,he’s living large.
I work in a bank and as a banker I always think I have what it takes to make a man be mine forever.Few weeks later,I was so busy with the workload on my desk that I couldn’t recognize a masculine stature in front of me. A sonorous voice called out my name Tacha, I wasn’t expecting anyone who could that be raising up my head standing right before me is Jones….I quickly adjust my jacket and hair,…..He smiled and complimented my looks I was about to say thanks, he quickly said get your bag I’m taking you for a lunch as he dashed out……
I hurriedly get my bag and followed him.The atmosphere was tense as he drove down to le’suite restaurant , everyone seems to recognise him and greeted him politely. I asked him why he was given preferential treatment, he arrogantly answered by saying he's wealthy and everyone like to associate with a wealthy man. I gulped down a glass of water placed on the table…….The menu list was handed to us by the waiter and I ordered my favourite as he ordered for something light, we ate in silence as I was not too comfortable with his arrogance.
After 30minutes he drove me back to work, and politely I thanked him for the lunch,….he hurriedly grab me and place a peck on my right cheek. He lustfully look at me and said I’ll give you a call. I was lost in thought thinking about the peck and the look on his face when I receive a message from him“You smell good I’ll like to know you more”. What does he really want, that was the question I asked myself.
A month later on a Saturday morning, I was in the bathroom when my phone rang, Hey you, I quickly recognize the caller to be Jones, he said I’ll like to take you out for dinner, dress in something light and elegant 7:00pm, he ended the call before I could say anything. I had to rush to a boutique to get a nice dress just to please him. At exactly 6:55pm, he was already knocking at my door, I was speechless looking at this wonderful creature, I quickly muttered you look great, he replied I get a lot of that, he looked at me ,held my waist and led me to his car………We had a wonderful night as he fumbled with my hand and tell me I love you and I’d like to date you,he doesn’t talk much but his look said it all. I was speechless and he muttered a word into my ear my place or your place…..
He quickly get up and led me to his car and drove straight to his house, I kept my calm knowing he won’t hurt me in anyway, getting to his house everywhere was clean and tidy……He hurriedly rush towards me and planted a kiss on my lips being a weaker vessel, I couldn’t resist we ended up making love that evening. On waking up the following morning, I saw a note by the bed side saying ”my dear Tacha you’re the sweetest of all” see yourself out I’ve gone for a board meeting.
Every weekend I find myself in Jones house with countless time of love making rampage, I was always too weak to turn down his advances as he shower me with love and gifts. All my thought was since we spent our weekends together then he really love and care for me.
Jones was so smart and calculating that I never suspect he’s married with 3 kids. On a faithful Monday morning,I was on my way to the office when I receive a text message from an unknown number to stop dating her husband. I was confused because I’ve never dated a married man before, I ignored the text , two days later, I got the same text I was furious and I pick up my phone to call the number…..
At the first dial a lady pick it up and call out my name and politely tell me I’m not the only side chicks, he has lots of them, I was about to ask who are you when she said I’m Rachael Brown, Jones wife….I was speechless as I manage to lean on my table, I feel wasted, used,it was as if my world has collapse. Seven years of relationship with a married man and I never suspected he's married with kids.
The End
The foxes that destroy relationships and marriages pt 1
Staying in a relationship and marriage is a decision that you make for some reasons. Love is a choice we make, we need to know that no one is perfect, so in a relationship you "choose to love irrespective of faults and also choose to stay if you feel or believe you can tolerate the faults". Sometimes people ask me what are the reasons or things that break relationships/marriages. Truth is a bitter pill to swallow, but it has to be said not to criticize the negative aspects only but to open our consciousness to actions and attitudes that expose us to not only heartbreak, but destroying the things we love and those we love.
There are so many reasons relationships fall apart, quite a number of people, even myself at a time, attributed breaks in relationships and marriages to Money,Pride,Lying and Cheating, of course this is true but in my experience, I had an opportunity to share, listen and learn with close study of some "irrelevant" reasons that led to separation, divorce, lack of romance and loss of interest in relationships and marriages. The word irrelevance is relative because, what may seem relevant to one person may be irrelevant to another.
Basically what I am trying to bring out in the open here is "small things count. Quite a number of bad behaviors or attitude which we over look, lead to a steady or sometimes fast decline in a relationship. Romance isn't a bed of roses or set of pearl earrings you get on your anniversary only, it takes HARD WORK and conscious efforts to make things work.
This article will help you point out some of the many things and habits that will destroy your relationship and marriage. More importantly, i'll provide you with some realistic tips and long-term solutions on how to avoid and finally overcome them.
The "Monitoring Spirit or FBI" attitude
Trust is a major requirement in any relationship, when two people want to make it work, trust is key, commitment is key, loyalty is key. Do you have confidence in your partner? Are you afraid to even leave their side for one minute? Any time their phone rings you jump and you are anxious to see the caller I.d. Some people come in with call records, saying that it can't be innocent when a partner calls a "friend" seven times in a week. Some people fear that a significant other is cheating on them and comb through their partner's email, looking for something that they can use as evidence of infidelity. This behavior can ramp up in the aftermath of an indiscretion, whether an outright affair or a discovered flirtation. People think that even if they forgive their partner for cheating, they reserve the right to look through their partner's phone forever after. This checking behavior can persist for weeks, months, even years after the partner's unfaithfulness and has nothing to do with anything that the partner is currently doing.
As you can imagine, most people do not take too kindly to having their partner pore through their phone, reading all of their texts and emails and try to find proof of their misbehavior. Infact, some relationships end when a person find out that a partner was looking through their phone, precisely because they feel so violated. Phones nowadays are the repository for all of a persons private thoughts and feelings as expressed in texts to friends and family and knowing that a partner has been keeping you under constant, secret surveillance can be destabilizing and upsetting.
Solution: have confidence in your partner and respect their privacy. Don't Snoop through texts, emails or bedroom drawers. No good comes out of this and innocent detail can be misinterpreted.
Comparing your spouse attitude to your ex
For those that can't seem to get over their ex. Remember the reasons they became your ex,let them stay as ex. Stop saying how clean your ex is, or how organized your ex is, or how intelligent your ex was. If they were that good, you would have been with your ex and not your present partner. Stop comparing your husband, wife, partner to your ex, it will lead to conflict, insecurity, hurt and eventually ruin your relationship or marriage if you are not careful.
Constant criticizing your partner is a quick way to kill any loving feelings. Replace blame and criticism with love and understanding. Everyone has their breaking point when it comes to criticism, so it shouldn't surprise you if your spouse responds by leaving. "Being harsh or judgemental can cause a marriage to fail. Criticism takes a toll and your partner can start to feel like he or she is never enough". Wishful thinking and unnecessary comparison can ruin a marriage or relationship, especially when we tend to compare our marriage situation with others.
For instance, you begin to compare and say "I wish my wife is prettier". "I wish my wife is not a nagger"."I wish my wife is a good cook" . These wishful thinking and comparisons are so unfortunate to hear. Little by little, such habit could poison the relationship. Then you begin to compare your spouse with your officemate or neighbor unconsciously. The only remedy to this problem is acceptance and learn to appreciate her. Stop doing stupid things like comparing your spouse with others. Remember that a "perfect marriage" is just two imperfect people who refuse to give up on each other. Remember that your spouse is a precious gift that God has given you and always be thankful for her. It's not an easy journey, but it's a profitable one and I urge you to remain humble, patient and loving partner.
Solution: move on first of all, then set ext that make sense. Your past is your past. Please walk away as comparison will only destroy things and make your partner hate you. They may also never get over the comparison so please stop.
To be continued...
