As a Filipino, we have every right to be proud to be a person born and native in our country which is the "Philippines". As a democratic country with vast resources and wonderful culture, what is to be ashamed of? We Filipinos are known to be a very hospitable and diligent whenever we go in the world which something to be proud of. But now? What happen? In my thoughts, in the present we have nothing to be proud of. I feel sick because the Philippines every step and decision are very very disappointing. POVERTY? CRIME? INFLATION? DRUGS? And why is that? Due to Covid-19, every Filipino are struggling to survive. And yet, I don't seem to see a wonderful move or actions by the PH government to solve this problems. This is just my own opinion and from what I see, the PH government is just an incompetent country leaders which is full of excuses. Here is why;

  1. PH government deceive us to much

    All regarding the issues in the Philippines, the government gives us incomplete facts and data and what and how they are acting as our public servants. They seem to be full of words in media, and not a single wonderful actions can be implemented so as to prevent a certain problems. Like the Covid-19 virus, the president have reports from other country regarding the spreading virus in Chine and yet he didn't even take precautions and treat the matter as nuisance to his ear until the unsolvable problem occur. When the US report this, the president neglect this and said that it is not true. How deceiving is that? They said after that it is the someone's fault, not theirs, as they kept letting the Airport open mostly for Chinese countries where the said virus emerge. And also the matter regarding the police killing drug lords. Thousands of people are killed because in a raid against drugs because they're alleged drug lords. You see thousands are killed, thousands. And they said that all of them are said to be drug lords without giving the public facts and evidences that they are. They just said it, and that's period.

  2. The government actions are very irrelevant

    Their actions are irrelevant? Why is that? As you can see, amidst of the Covid-19 spreading in the corners of the Philippines. The governments are full of irrelevant actions regarding to said crisis. One of these actions are the renovation of Manila bay and turning is to white sand. Because they said that it is for tourist attraction. What the hell!? amidst Covid-19 where all people should be in quarantine and implementing social distancing and they're solution is the this? They spends millions or billions of peso just to bought the white sand and replace it to the sand in the manila bay. What a nonsense, am I right? Instead of spending this money to the equipment and materials because it is when the medical personnel needed a lot of materials and equipment against the virus, they choose the latter. And also in a many press conference held by the Malacañang, I heard from the very president is 5% all about the issue, 5% possible solutions which is the common solution the public can think of, 50% is tackling the topic and solution in circle and circle all over again, and the rest are nonsense and excuses.

  3. They treat us as a fool

    As a human being, we each have our intellectual capabilities to determine the true over lie. But as the media and internet presides, many false information are being distributed to as to distract and manipulate as to believing something which is not true. That's why many people are being fooled and mislead by some information. And the government lacks the clarity and transparency that the public needed them instead they divert the publics mind into different matters over and over again. What the hell? and many people don't think they are being deceived, what an embarrassment.

  4. They reign on spending our money as the PH budget shrinks along the way with borrowing billion's of money from other country.

    According to @https://think.ing.com/snaps/philippines-budget-deficit-shrinks-as-government-reigns-in-spending, the Ph budget deficit is more than 22% lower YoY at PHP138.5bn as expenditures drop. Weaker fiscal spending may be a strategy to limit the budget shortfall but a sustained pullback could cloud the outlook for economic recovery. This will affect the growth of the Philippines in the future and may possible hinder us to develop more. Especially, in the early phase of covid spreading in our country, they borrow billions of money from the the international bank and other country from time to time. And yet, they fail to assist immediately the people as they have problems in distributing the money and giving PPE for the medical personnel.

    As I said, this is only my own opinion. It just for me, there's no development to the PH government no matter what administration presiding in all over the years. It's just such a disgrace, and for all the Filipino's out there please open your eyes and be aware. Don't pretend that you didn't know, see or hear anything. Our contributions as a Filipino citizen is to make sure we choose our nations leaders wisely and keep them in check, ALWAYS. Because of the Covid-19 virus, employment and resources became scarce that poverty gets worsen and worsen. Our economic development plummeted so the government is also alarmed because of this and if it continues it may affect the region’s development. And death mortality rate might increase more if this continues. So the government apply a cash aid which will be given to each families. I also recommend this but we must tally everything for corruption is inevitable. And also abide by the law to follow it strictly to avoid the increasing rate of cases of the virus. ·         Amidst of the Covid-19, one of the biggest political issues in the country is corruption. Even with the pandemic going on, corruption is inevitable in the Philippines. Such a toxic personality of hypocrite government officials. There is no cure for these guide of sickness and toxic mentality but we can lessen it. We can lessen the rate of corruption if there is a system intended to give a certain amount of money to people in needs in a systematically way. But it is still useless if the authority has a corrupt mind, mind as well release them from the burden of their job as a person in charge or shall I say fire them in their position. Perform a thoroughly investigation to all government officials either it’s local or national.

Good article. There is no perfect government and some are worst off than others. Depending on the politicians helming it. It's important to have the younger generation replacing the older ones and hopefully getting a better government and future as a result.

Governments won't save us. Start there. Just focus on building your own infrastructure. GL.
