TEXT: JONAH 1:1-2;
Jon 1:1 Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,
Jon 1:2 Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.
SAMUEL 3:4-11, GENESIS 3:8-9.
Brethren God is calling out to us today, he has a message for the people in the cities, towns, villages and all over the world and he wants us to deliver that message just as called out to Jonah to preach repentance to the people of Nineveh. Today God is calling out to us to call the world out of their wickedness and sins to repent and come unto him. In the beginning of the world, God created all things and put man in charge over all his creation upon the earth (Genesis 1:26-31) but man turned his back on God in sin and disobedience and lost his place.
Gen 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man [was] great in the earth, and [that] every imagination of the thoughts of his heart [was] only evil continually.
Gen 6:6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
Gen 6:7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
However a certain man called Noah found grace in the sight of the Lord due to his uprightness and God called Noah to preach repentance unto all men but they hearkened not so Noah, his family and some animals (all species represented) were saved in an ark which God instructed Noah to construct. Read Genesis chapters 6 to 10
Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
But man did not cease to be wicked and carry out his evil work and today God is calling man to repent for the last time, this is mans last chance to turn from his evil ways and return to God for a greater destruction is coming to those who choose not to repent or fail to do so. This destruction is eternal
