movie review: finding dory Finding dory is a cartoon by Andrew Stanton. It was released on the 8th of June 2016. Many of you may have already watched it. I watched recently though. As ridiculous as it may sound, 'finding dory' was very emotional for me. 'Finding dory' is actually a sequel to 'finding nemo' So basically finding dory is about a blue regal tang fish whose name is dory (she has a loveable personality 😊) . Dory has amnesia( you know when you get into a room looking for something but then you forget what you're looking for? that's dory's life all the time) and so she finds it hard to remember a lot of things, because of that one day she gets lost and then forgets her way back home. Time passes and she's still looking but at a point she forgets what she's looking for and that's where she meets nemo's dad marlin, who's trying to find his son nemo. She offers to help and together they eventually find nemo. She lives with them for while until something triggers her memory and she remembers that she has a family (her parents were so supportive. They never made her feel abnormal or weird because of her condition😭) Dory decides to go look for her parents but she begs marlin and nemo to come with because she knew she was going to forget what she was looking for if she had went alone (her amnesia problem is extreme😂 she can forget something that was said three seconds ago) Marlin resists at first but together with nemo, dory manages to convince marlin to follow her(marlin is very grumpy by the way, he's a joy killer, he's lovable though ) On the way, marlin says some harsh things to dory because dory almost gets nemo hurt (mistakenly) and so she feels bad and then leaves to get help but (as you probably expected) she gets lost again. Anyways long story short, marlin regrets his actions and sets off to find dory. Meanwhile dory makes some new friends along the way. At the end marlin and nemo find dory, together with some of her new friends dory finds her parents. ( this part was so emotional because her parents never gave up on trying to find her too😭) Some of dory's new friends are an anti social squid(well I think he's a squid, I'm not sure) called hank who thinks he doesn't need anyone, an adorable whale shark called destiny who's half blind, a beluga whale named Bailey who thinks his 'echo location' isn't working ( echo location is an ability which some animals have to detect objects around them through the help of echoes. It's like a super power🌚) and finally a loon bird called becky, she's quite stupid. Dory is a really smart fish even though she has amnesia. Her amnesia is actually a gift, in a way because she doesn't think much, she just does whatever comes to her head at that point. She doesn't waste time or procrastinate. When she wants something, she gets it. I feel what hinders people sometimes from doing what they want to do is the fact that they think too much! They want to analyse all the risks first, and make sure that everything goes fine which is good because you have to plan of course. Though, sometimes you just have to take the risk, don't be afraid of failure. Even if you fail, you'll get up again. Be like dory😊 I'm done 😊 Sorry it's so long 😂 Suggestions for my next movie review are welcome 😁 You should watch 'finding dory' if you haven't watched it. You probably have, since the animation was released like four years ago 😂ohh I forgot to add, dory was voiced by Ellen DeGeneres.

Hiiii, so I've been off for a while partly because exams have been draining my creativity 😂I was thinking of starting something like a movie review blog because I love movies and I like talking about them😁 wish me luck! Ohh and movie suggestions are welcome 😊

Just like the wind "but still like air, I'll rise" beautiful words from an equally beautiful writer, maya angelou. A little meditation on these words caused me to realise the power in what she wrote. Air... Air is more than what we breathe. Air is more than oxygen and nitrogen. Air is life. Air is power. Air is God's example of how we are to be like. Air in a more violent form, wind, cannot and will not be caged. Air is not affected by gravity, in other words air mocks the show of resistance. Gravity holds everything down except air, it's almost as if it doesn't even acknowledge the fact that gravity is a foe, treats it like nothing, simply ignores it as if it weren't there. It's not that the resistance isn't there, it is the fact that air, or wind as I prefer, chooses not to be held down. Still like air, you'll rise. With love from pricie. I remember that day like it were yesterday. I was finally going to tell him, I had been posting for weeks now but I decided then that I was ready. I felt like I had gathered up enough courage. As I combed my hair, I thought of the best approach. "Danny, from the first day I saw..." Nahhh too corny. "I think of you all the ti..." eww he'll think I'm desperate or something. I kept on thinking of what to say but nothing I came up with seemed good enough. I looked good that day. I even wore my best jacket, I wanted to wear my huge silver earrings but then I thought it would look like I was trying too hard. So then I decided that I was going to do some makeup instead but I remembered that I was a horrible make up artist. My sister made it her point of duty to always remind me. Anyways, I decided that the jacket was enough so I grabbed my backpack and headed to school. The hallway was noisy as usual. I hate noise. I spotted Danny from across the hall and i went to him. By that time I knew what I was going to say. I even rehearsed it severally. But as I got to his locker, nothing was coming out. My mind was completely blank. All that came out was "I like your shoes" I didn't even wait for a reply, I literally ran away. I could imagine the confused and probably amused expression on his face. He must have thought I was so dumb. I was angry at myself but I was determined to tell him that day so I decided to write him a note which read: " hi, I think you're cute and I really like you. With love from pricie, the redhead who likes your shoes" When I was sure that nobody was looking, I slipped the note under one of his textbooks. After lunch time, I returned to class and I saw a note on my desk, my heart skipped a beat. "did he reply?" I muttered to myself. I picked up the note and read it. Tomorrow The uncertainty of tomorrow wrapped up in the certainty of today. Tommorow pushed forwards by the wheels of today. Why then should there be a dread of tommorow? Panic ensues as soon as a person dares to mention its syllables. Why not dance in your today. Planting seeds of hope and flowers. Roses, hibiscus and forget me nots. Moon travel I am flying to the moon up above the earth with my school bag to get some glittery moon dust for my mum. I see some unicorn-tigers on the way and I wave to them, they wave back. "nice people" I think. After getting some moon dust, I lie on my back, spread-eagled and making angels in the sand. A creature.. Like a horse but with a falcon's head and wings carries me on it's back and we ride the milky-way. "amelie,be careful" I say. The creatures name is amelie. But instead of slowing down, she keeps on going and then she jumps into a pool of water and we're drowning, fast. Suddenly I find myself on a bed and my face is all wet. A robust woman is standing over me holding a pail of water. "mum, I got some moon dust for you" "go and wash the plates" she replies.

Is the grass actually green? Blue sky, brown roof, ash concrete. Red car, black goats, pink watches. In the light of the sun, So I see. Rude girl, dirty boy, glutton! Lax uncle, relaxed pigs, liars! Soul mates What is your definition of a soulmate? Anytime I came across the word, the first thing that always came to my mind was love, as in someone you're in love with or someone that you're romantically involved with. I thought that a soulmate was someone that you have to end up with. I was watching a movie recently, a series actually titled 'God friended me' and one of the characters gave a definition that struck me. I can't remember what she said exactly but she said something like a soulmate isn't just someone that you're in love with, a soulmate is someone that will always be there when you need him or her. A soulmate is someone who always has you in his or her heart. A soulmate is someone that helps you through life to fulfil your purpose. A soulmate may not always be close to you but a soulmate will always find you. A soulmate isn't necessarily someone you end up with. So... Who do you think think your soulmate is or your soulmates are?? Have you met your soulmate? Have you?
