Beaches all over the world are known for a place of relaxation, to put off that stress and rejuvenate. Nigeria is not left out with lots of beautiful beaches to visit and have a picnic, Lagos is home to most of the beaches in Nigeria because of its nearness to the Atlantic and Pacific ocean, and most of them are situated on the island part of Lagos.

Here are some of the beautiful beaches;

Bar Beach
  • Lagos Bar Beach: This is the most popular beach in Nigeria, the Lagos bar beach is also called the Victoria Beach. It's been a place of relaxation from the 80s, where people go for site seeing, picnic, adventure and relaxation. The bar beach is situated at the center of Victoria Island, it was named bar beach because it naturally forms sandy bars which protects those in the environs from the stormy Gulf of Guinea, the big stones now casted around was structured there because of the recuent stormy of the ocean.

La Campagne Tropicana

La Campagne Tropicana Beach: This is one of the leading beaches in Nigeria and it's situated in Lagos on the island part, Nigeria. The location is around Ibeju Lekki in Lagos, and when you go there, they offer lots of activities like swimming, hiking, hunting, fishing, relaxation and many more. This beach offers a 5 star enjoyment and adventure with a unique natural environment which include mangrove forest, warm water sea, fresh water lake etc. You also get to enjoy lots of activities like beach volleyball, canoeing, horse riding, snorkeling etc with a good place you can stay over to enjoy your vacation.

Coconut Beach
  • Coconut Beach: This'll is a beautiful beach located in the town of badagry Lagos. It's called the coconut Beach because badagry is known for an area in Lagos for harvesting coconut, meaning there's a lot of cocuonut trees presence in the town. The badagry town is very close to the border of Nigeria to republic of Benin, it's a place for good relaxation and lots of activities, this beach is accessible through the lagos-Badagry express way.

Tarkwa Bay
  • Tarkwa Bay Beach: This is a sheltered beach along the Lagos harbor,and provides a pleasant outing with safe swimming conditions, even for small children to swim. You will get to enjoy a lot of treat from casual comfort, sales of delicious pineapple and coconuts,with other delightful treats you will get to enjoy.

New Lekki Beach.
  • New Lekki Beach: Though there are several beaches along the lekki peninsula, and once again of most attractive of them all is the new Lekki beach. This is another Lagos attractive beache and remains popular with much foreign tourist visits, you will get to enjoy shelters made of palm fronds and umbrellas to keep the sun at Bay, this shelter they provide a place to enjoy snacks and refreshments that is sold by local traders.
