Oritse Femi who have been know to sing songs that touches the hearth of the masses, and also talks about the government, how the government are cheating the masses and looting the money that belongs to the people to Europe, and, the united state of America, how the government have been selling Nigerian rifinaries and Niger delta oil well to the British and in turn bring hunger to the land, how the youth are now wise and ready to speak up and also ready to do anything to chase bad leaders away.
Today we are going to analyse one of Oritse femi song titled "Our government I beg" (OGIB) which talks about the suffering the masses are facing and that the basic amenities that the masses want is not been put in place, in respective of how rich Nigeria is in terms of money and Mineral resources.
Oritse femi song talks about the basic needs of every Nigerian, and how the citizen of Nigeria are tired being in a country that the basic amenities are not in place that is; water, Light, Food, and, house, and because these basics amenities are not in place, the youth seek for greener pastures by travelling to Europe by all means using road transportation, and because of the suffering and hardship they face, some die along the way while some successfully enter Europe with the hope of being successful.
Oritse femi talks about these amenities
Electricity
How can a country like Nigeria be selling electricity to other countries like Ghana, benin republic, chad etc, and, the country supplying that power which is Nigeria, is leaving in complete power outage, imagine a country that can't boost of 18 hours power supply daily not to talk about 24 hours electricity, and Nigeria called herself the giant of Nigeria.
Water
How can a country like Nigeria who call herself the giant of Africa lack this common amenity like water, imagine a country where water supply is not assure.
Food
The most basic amenities is food, if food is very cost or scarce in any country how will that country survive, and in Nigeria where feeding is one thing that the Nigerian government can't provide, how can a bag of rice cost more than the 70% of Nigeria citizen salary.
House
Nigerian government have never been doing well I'm this area, a country where house rent is very expensive how can that country be good, and in Nigeria it normal.
