Do These Things to Change From a Toxic to a Healthy Relationship

The road from a toxic relationship to a healthy relationship is a tough one. Many people think a toxic relationship is finished, there is no way to go back to a healthy relationship.

But that isn't the case. You can go back to your good old day's healthy relationship with your partner.

But I am going, to be honest - most people won't be able to do it. But if there is a slight chance, things can get better.

Both of You Need to Invest

Both you and your partner are willing to change from a toxic to a healthy relationship. Relationships only work out when both of you are together.

If one of you isn't serious about a relationship better, my opinion is you should stop seeing each other though, that's better.

On the other hand, if you’ve both expressed a genuine willingness to work things out, you may proceed.

Recognize lack of Affection, Respect and Trust then Take Responsibility

So both of you want to get better in your relationship. But you still need to do a lot.

Accept your wrongdoings in the past and take responsibility for what you did.

Think about what you did back then, you will start to realise why you blame them, why you didn't care about them, and why you both fight for such a trivial matter.

To put it in another way, both of you should accept you contribute to toxicity and take responsibility by reflecting on yourself.

Communicate in Healthy Way Without Blaming Others

You may understand what the real problem is, and why both of you fight for trivial matters.

But if one or both of you is to blame others, it's just not going to work. So stop blaming each other.

It doesn't matter who is wrong here, if you need to move the relationship to healthy stop blaming each other.

Both of you have to give importance to your relationship instead of your pride or selfish desire to win.

Don't Focus On the Past

Well, you can't repair your relationship without looking back to your past. But that shouldn't be the sole focus.

Resist the demon that constantly makes you look back at your negative scenario. Because that leaves both of you frustrated, and tense.

Then both of you will right back to where you started.

Get Some Professional Help

Sometimes you might need help from counselling to get right back on your track. You can either get individual or couple counselling.

There is no shame in getting professional support regarding relationship issues.

They can also teach you some strategies for resolving conflict and make it easier to create a healthy relationship.

You're very right. Building a toxic relationship to a healthy one is very hard because some people live in the past. They may not want to forgive their partner for what he has done for them and as a result of that, the relationship will end. Some people are also very proud to say sorry to their partner
