Drugs are stimulate or narcotic combination of medicinal chemicals formulated and prepared by chemists and pharmacist for the treatment of different illness under the recommendation and supervision of medical doctor. There are drugs that people can buy from a pharmacist store when attacked by diseases. The common one are Panadol, aspirin, daga, phensic, and other cough syrups, sheckold, vitamin e.t.c.

But antibiotic capsules like poison, India hemp, cocaine, heroine, and many other more are not supposed to be taken without the doctor's prescription.

The dangers of drug abuse.

The dangers of self medication are very many and common nowadays. The prevalence of drug abuse can be seen in mental psychiatrist cases some young and old people simply take some hard drugs just because they want to be "high", cases abound people losing their lives because of self prescription and wrong usage of drugs.

Medical expert have been saying for some time now that drug abuse could result to induce Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) in some people. This means that wrongly used drug can destroy the natural immune system that guards one against certain infections.

Drug abuse is a key contribution to the humiliation of Nigerian citizens and our national officials in foreign countries who are subjected to scandalous search and scrutiny. Fat times, drugs are used; to scrutinized people. this destroys our international recognition and reputation.

Anti drug abuse campaigns should be carried out by the government and citizens. The youth must be well enlightened on all the possible dangers of using drugs wrongly.

The government must try by doing what they can do to alleviate poverty. Cause an idle hand is the devil's work shop.

The misusing of drugs has caused many grave dangers into the life of many. It has led many into committing and it has also cut the life of many short .

Advantages of hard drug.

Hard drugs advantage and less than it consequences I hardly see the enjoyment when one gets high it really devastating when I see news about people who died of hard drug. The government had promised the citizens that any one caught it the distribution of hard drug would be penalized. Why do we now engage in it if when caught we are arrested.

Cause of drug abuse.

Joblessness: when one has a job that the rate by which one takes hard drugs would reduce.

Depression: many go into drug abuse because of depression and it is really good.

Revenge: many have been offended and all they want to do is revenge.so they engage in drug taking(drug abuse)

Control measure.

Government should penalized those involved in this practice.

Government should also enlighten all the citizens about the consequences of drug abuse.

The emphasis of the consequences of drug abuse should be done in schools, religious center e.t.c

Government and private parastastals should find a way to alleviate poverty cause it had it root in drug abuse.

Government should make empowerment program so as to decrease the people who are involved in hard drugs trafficking.

Parents also have their to play in the life of their wards. They talk to them where they can listen .

Security effort to detect and apprehend all illegal importers and users of hard drug must be perfected. Religious organization must contribute to the building of a hard drug free society.
