I have read @Princessbusayo ‘s Fasting or Vigil… Which one brings answer to Prayers. Here is the link below should you want to read it.

This reminds me of my experiences and I decided to write about it.
I am a Roman Catholic by religion. The characters and traits of a Roman Catholic was ingrained in me by my parents, especially my father who is a lay minister during his young life.
I always attend mass on Sundays and during holidays of obligation, like Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, and Immaculate Conception. I also sometimes attend mass novena for fiestas, especially if it is a feast for Mama Mary. I don’t really attend the whole 9 days of mass novena, only once or twice.
VIRGIN OF GUADALUPE
A few years ago, I experienced anxiousness with regards to my husband. I have mentioned many times that he is a seafarer. During those years, he can only contact us when their ship is on dock or near an island or country. So every time they are about to depart from one country I always asked him their time of arrival to the next destination.
That time they were leaving Brazil to travel to Singapore. He said that their estimated date of arrival in Singapore will be around November 25.
I waited for his text or chat in messenger every day from November 25 but December arrived and still I have not received any text message or a chat. I got so worried already.
Come December 8, the Feast Day of Immaculate Conception and it was also the fifth day novena of the Virgin of Guadalupe, I went to hear mass at the Guadalupe Church. It was just a few minutes jeepney ride from my office. It was my first time to hear mass in this church. My previous practice was to hear mass before going to the office if December 8 falls on a working day. I don’t know what urged me not to hear mass earlier that day.
After the mass, I stayed for a while, knelt down and talked to Mama Mary. I told her my worries and prayed for the safety of my husband.
It is to be noted that the Virgin of Guadalupe is miraculous. In year 1902 a cholera epidemic hit our city and the image of the Virgin of Guadalupe was processioned daily within the city until the epidemic ceases.
I went back to the office after my one way conversation with Mama Mary as I intended to do some overtime work with my staff. A few minutes after arriving at the office, I got a call from an unknown number. When I answered the call, the other end of the line told me that I have an international call and when the line was connected it was my husband. He said he called thru the ship’s radio as he was not at ease. He said that he felt something urging him to call me.
I told my husband about my prayer and WOW, Mama Mary works FAST. He informed me that they arrived already in Singapore but cannot dock as there were lots of ships ahead of them that has to dock first.
Since then, every December 8, I attended mass at the Virgin of Guadalupe church. But when the pandemic struck in year 2020, I was not able to attend a mass there anymore. But the good Mama Mary has other ways. Our parish priest who was once the parish priest of the Virgin of Guadalupe church has decided to place an image of the Virgin of Guadalupe in our church. First week of July this year, finally, Mama Mary of Guadalupe was enthroned in our parish, the Christ the King Parish.
I have many more experiences of answered prayers but I find the above experience so significant as it was just a matter of minutes that my prayers were being answered.
What about you? Have you experienced an immediate answered prayer?
MAMA MARY OF LINDOGON, SIMALA
It has been our practice to visit the Shrine of Mama Mary of Lindogon every time my hubby is about to depart for work to ask for her guidance and protection. We went back to the Shrine every time he arrives from his stint abroad to give thanks.
Every year, without falter, we visit her Shrine. The shrine is located at the hinterlands of Sibonga, Simala, South of Cebu. It is a three hours drive from our place in Mandaue City.
There are also images of Mama Mary of Lindogon for sale at the side of the Monastary, but we never thought of buying one. Every time we went there, I just bought candles and have it blessed.
I don’t know what urged me to buy the image of Mama Mary of Lindogon on our last time we were there. It was in January 2019 when we went there for guidance and protection as my hubby is about to depart for another year of work abroad. We bought the image before the mass started since the blessing is towards the end of the mass.
The image of Mama Mary of Lindogon is now at our altar.
Come 2020, my husband arrived from his work and the pandemic struck around the world. The churches, for a while, were closed. The Shrine of Mama Mary of Lindogon was closed. No visitors were allowed inside. But SHE is now enthroned at our altar. She is with us every day.
I told my hubby that Mama Mary must have known that we cannot visit her when he arrives and that is why she urged me to buy her image.
That’s it for now folks.
GOD BLESS YOU… MAMA MARY LOVES YOU!
Thanks for dropping by.
