Crypto Ramblings: When will the dollar cease to be a world reference, and which one will replace it?

Last week I launched several questions on the air of noise.cash that touches on the future of the cryptocurrency market, or should I say, that directly affect us in the choice of blockchain technology projects.

Those who write here have a more than justified penchant for Bitcoin Cash. I am super convinced, as are my fellow writers, that the project represents the logical evolution of Satoshi Nakamoto's original white paper idea. However, although we are faithful defenders and promoters of BCH, you cannot close your eyes like fans to what is happening around you.

I think the fight is fierce and thousands of projects that we now see on the lists will disappear in the medium term. Many will fall due to the inertia of the nature of their designs and scope; others, being brilliant, for lack of support and understanding for anticipating technological convergence. Needless to say, the projects were purposely truncated by the interests of the dominant financial system, including Bitcoin Core (BTC). The latter, although it dominates in the preference of capitalization and diffusion in public opinion, has been distorted and directed towards the ineffectiveness that prevents it from becoming the reference currency that replaces the Dollar. Hence the propagation of digital gold and store of value.

In this sense, I think you will agree with me that sooner rather than later, the dollar will give up the role of benchmark for another that better summarizes the spirit of the time. It is no coincidence that international economic and financial spokespersons speak of resettlement and inclusive capitalism, of regulations and prohibitions, of central bank digital currencies, of the development of a quantum financial system. I notice the bid to update the system, even think for a moment about the effects that health measures due to the pandemic have on the normality of the world. In short, as I have expressed in previous articles doing chorus with other voices here, "we live in interesting and decisive times."

One of my questions tries to gather the opinion of when the change of the reference standard will take place. Of course, the art of forecasting with such complex variables is extremely difficult. So deep down it was a rhetorical question despite proposing random prepositions not based on technical analysis. However, the few answers, no less important, seem to indicate that the change will take place after the next five years. I wonder, during the before period, how much progress will the development of the different projects on the blockchain advance? Will the quantum financial system be implemented? Will the blockchain be the cause of the change of the reference standard?

As you may have noticed, I have more questions than answers. Hahaha. These are good, topics on which to base the next articles. Although you should be careful not to be repetitive. An evil that can easily be incurred, becomes tiresome and boring.

Another question thrown into the ring was focused on determining which cryptocurrencies compete with BCH for mass adoption. As a BCH enthusiast I would have to say, none. But what do you think? It would be logical, or not.

Bitcoin Cash in my opinion is great and with great potential to take the place of the dollar as a reference currency. However, there are also brilliant minds out there who work assiduously to optimize and innovate in blockchain technology and in an endless number of applications that are far from the original concept.

In this sense, I developed a very entertaining and illustrative talk with @IamOneray, among laypeople commenting on some projects. Among which are Ethereum, Cardano, and Polkadot. Simple opinions of unqualified people within the communities. There are forums on Reddit and other platforms where the architects and experts discuss at the highest level. Of course, understanding them becomes another problem if you do not master programming fundamentals and the mathematics that support them.

Most of those who are here as writers, readers, or investors; perhaps, are only interested in knowing briefly what they are and how to use them to obtain the associated benefits. I don't see anything wrong with it, it even seems to be the most logical thing in this world. In the end, we are not scientists or developers by profession, that is, full time.

However, I think that knowing the bare minimum in what you get involved is vital if you want to be successful in what you undertake. For example, as a writer who wants to talk about BCH, who would listen to a spiel about it? Perhaps, you will catch the attention of newbies, but once they dig deeper, they will stop reading. Soon you will be left alone writing for yourself.

So it is important to learn every day about the subject that interests you. It takes time and careful dedication to understand what you read. Why do I emphasize understanding? A concern that I will explain to you shortly.

In the past, many people could not read or write; they led a simple life at the expense of those who monopolized knowledge. Today, the phenomenon is opposite but similar. Now it is exposed to an immensity of unmanageable data, it takes powerful computers and artificial intelligence to filter and build the information to make it understandable. It is very tempting to consume the regurgitated delicacy, however, do not believe blindly, scrutinize for yourselves as far as you can. You may get some surprises, but first, try to understand in the right dimension.

In this sense, if you want to know if Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is the future, and not Bitcoin Core (BTC), Ethereum, Cardano, or Polkadot; you will have to invest some of your time in finding out about the ecosystem around these. I recommend without eagerness, on the contrary, having fun in the process.

How many others are there outside of those named, encompassed as Altcoins that promise and you don't even know? How many are around the same project? How many are scams designed to catch you in greed? Again, I have more questions than answers. A fascinating world for research and experimentation.

Final thoughts

These crypto ramblings are not intended to comprehensively satisfy the questions of when the dollar will fall as a benchmark or what are BCH's direct competitors in the race for mass adoption. It only raises a sincere reflection on where we are and who are competing for the next configuration of human relations based on the financial monetary framework.

I believe that this decade that is just beginning, full of challenges and threats, needs people who are convinced to promote the changes that society deserves beyond the interests of certain minority groups to maintain or take power over the masses. In particular, I am outraged by the term mass to address the human conglomerate. Each individual is a universe unto himself, special and unique.

Perhaps, it is the underlying simplicity of Nakamoto's whitepaper that catches my enthusiasm at BCH. Undoubtedly, there are projects called the second generation with an emphasis on smart contracts, or third-generation projects that combine the sum of the characteristics of the previous ones but focused on blockchain multiplatform interoperability. Which one will prevail? I do not know. All or none as the dialectic develops in the real and digital world.

At the beginning of the article, I had in mind to develop the topic based on comparisons of personal discoveries of some alternative projects to Bitcoin Cash with an impartial perspective, but I think I will have to leave it for the next publications. At the end of the day, that is what wandering and giving freedom to thought is all about.

Hello,

Simple but adequate questions are those that reveal the causes of the phenomena that we suffer. Thanks for the tip and the nice comment.
