A Post for a Cause: Donations for the Fire Victims
March 21, 2022
Monday
Hello everyone! How are you? How was your day? I hope you guys had a blessed new start to the week. There was a fire that broke out last Saturday here in our place that left many families homeless and turned their houses into ashes.
It was horrible for all of us who lived in that place, as it was the first time that a fire happened in our place. All of them lost their houses, and what’s sadder is that most of the houses that were eaten by fire were those that were just renovated or built a few months ago. It’s so sad to witness those moments, seeing those people who couldn’t do anything but just watch their houses turn into ashes.
They were not able to grab any of the stuff that they had in their houses because they needed to save themselves first because the fire gets so big in just the blink of an eye. They didn’t have clothes, food, and the only thing they had was the clothes that they wore that night and their cellphones.
This is the aftermath of the incident that night. Everything burned to ashes and the only thing left was the concrete walls, but the rest is no longer there and has already turned to charcoal.
It was so devastating to see such a view in the morning. Seeing those people standing at the spot where their house was, the only thing left was the memories of the house they used to live in. I can’t help but get emotional seeing someone cry. He just arrived from his work that morning, and the only thing that he saw right away was the burnt place. The money that he kept and his things were already gone and turned to ashes.
This afternoon, my aunt, who lives on the other side of the globe, gave some donations for the victims. It was supposed to be for her birthday, which is next month, but she just used the budget to help our neighbors who were affected by the fire. My cousins and I went to the mall earlier to buy the goods for them. We repacked some canned goods, foods, and rice for the victims.
They are in need of clothes, food, canned goods, and some water. I don’t usually post stuff like this, but this time I really need to do this in order to accumulate some help from others and to be able to help them too. I am humbly knocking on your kind heart and any amount will do. A single cent means so much to them and it can already help them in many ways. Your donations will surely be given to the fire victims.
It feels so satisfying to be able to help our people in different ways. In those small ways of helping, it already means a lot to them. A simple act of kindness means everything.
Your single cents are truly appreciated
