What's happening isn't shocking anymore.
There's a lot of happenings out there right now and these kind of scenarios are not new to everyone now since we all know about it and we are even experiencing it right now. But as I browsed the social media couple of hours ago, it seems that still it's new to them and they are not aware of it. I don't know if they are just pretending not to know it or it's just an ignorance or they didn't really care at all.
One of the issues I'm about to bring out in this article is an issue we are battling for how many years now and I can say that it's worsening based from what's happening around us. I'm sure you all know this one since you've discussed it in your classes back then.
Climate Change, two words but it sounds alarming right? Many years had passed already and our current generation is suffering from it's impact to our mother Earth. There's a lot of photos going around in social medias like facebook and twitter now with the caption, Let the Earth breathe and photos of people who wears white outfit. I don't know if it's true that they are scientists who works in NASA. That's what it says in the post about them and they are being arrested by the police.
Commentators around the world shared their opinions about it and I can see that they are with those people who are giving warnings to the government about the possibilities that our mother Earth won't last long. I'm not surprised by those kind of warnings anymore because since our teachers taught us that Earth is already dying, I believed her already. Why? Because I saw it already and also I based it from the stories of my grandparents.
So what are those stories that made me to believed what my teacher says about the Earth is slowly dying. My grandparents told me that back then the wind is cool and not warm just like now. They also told me that even if the weather is hot back then, the temperature of the surroundings is not that high compared to now that even if it's early in the morning it's already hot. Another one is when there's a typhoon back then it will not cause a lot of cassualties compared to now that it's just signal number 1 which is 30 to 60 kmph but it can already cause a lot of damage.
Those are just some of the stories told by my grandparents to me and those stories are not just tale because I've watched lot of documentaries and read articles about it in different social medias which proves their stories to be true.
We've suffered a lot of damage already caused by the pandemic and the past typhoons like Odette and now the recent one Agaton who already caused hundreds of deaths and massive destruction in certain areas in our country. Now that there's an ongoing protest about the state of our mother Earth, a lot of Filipinos joined the discussions and shared their opinions. That's good because it will help to spread more the awareness about the current situation but it will be better if we can start the move already right here in our country.
There's a lot of tree planting projects sponsored by different individuals and companies here in the Philippines. One of the tree planting activity I joined before was when we had our camping sponsored by Boyscout of the Philippines. Our venue back then was in the mountains so it's an ideal place to conduct tree planting. We've planted a lot of tress such as mahogany, acacia, g-melina, bamboos and many more. I joined everytime there's a tree planting in our school back then and I missed those days.
Now that I'm not studying anymore I can do now what I want which is planting trees. There's a vacant lot here beside the river and I'm planting it with trees such as g-melina and acacia. There's a lot of seedlings here that came from their fruits already. I gather their matured fruits then put it in a seed bed then wait until their germinate. I transplant them every afternoon because they said that it's better to plant in the afternoon. I planted 10 mahogany tree also beside our fishpond in the field and they are big now. I've also planted fruit bearing trees already such as avocados, santol or cotton fruit, coconuts and mangoes.
I like to this kind of activity and this is also the reason why I want to buy a hill in the future to be planted with a lot of different trees and fruit bearings also.
I also started my journey in gcash app with it's feature, gforest which enables you to earn green energy to be used in planting different trees around the country. If you are a gcash user then feel free to check it. Maybe you earned enough green energy already without knowing. Check it then plant a tree. Doing this kind of thing maybe a small step but I know if I can do it consistently, even if I'm alone I can create an impact.
Author's note
This is an existing problem that need serious attention from everybody and not only by few people. I know that we can prevent the destruction of our home if we join hands together. Small actions are better but bigger actions are more better.
We can do this. That's all for today's article and thank you for reading.

They said that if the climate change will drastically continue, the ozone layer will be destroyed and that's why we're experiencing intense hotness in Philippines and there's still a possibility that it will go up above 50° and I cannot imagine if that will continue to happen, we must turn into a ball of kwekwek already.
