You can't handle every matter as a leader.

A quick review of yesterday's article.
Any leader will wear out whenever he tries undergo stress that is beyond his bearing capacity. Every man has a limit to how much he can bear as regards workload.
We understand that everyone says that leaders should stretch themselves and leave their comfort zone, nevertheless, if he tries to go beyond how much his capacity can take, he will lose it and become fatigued. This is the reason why many of them suffer many emotional pain.
They are usually too busy solving problems that they fail to create enough time for themselves to rest. Every leader must review his activities and make sure he doesn't undergo unnecessary stress.
A leader is to make sure that he doesn't exceed his mental stress and his followers. Leaders must be careful not to overdo work, because as every human, they also have a limited capacity for stress reception.
Every leader needs to take time for rest and rejuvenation. If he doesn't, he will quickly wear himself out and the people under him will suffer too.
In order for a leader to be effective for a long time in office, he has to find a way to avoid wearing out himself and his followers and take out time to rest intermittently. Leaders must be strategic in their approach and ensure they know their limitations. When they do, it'll be easy for them to know when to rest and not.

As a leader, you can't be expected to handle every matter on your own. You need to be able to consult your superiors when needed, and know when you're not competent to handle something. Going beyond your power is an abuse of power, and can lead to reprimand or sanction from those in charge.
Leaders often find themselves in a situation where they are required to handle a matter that is way beyond their competence. It is at this point that they must not allow ego to blind their sense of judgment. They must consult their superiors for help or input in handling the matter. A leader who tries to do everything on his own, without taking into consideration his limitations, is headed for trouble. He will eventually overreach and go beyond his limit, thereby abusing his power. The appointing authorities have had to reprimand or sanction many leaders because of this offence. It is therefore very important for a leader to know his limitations and act within the ambit of his power.
You can't handle every matter as a leader. - A leader must not allow ego to blind his sense of judgment. He must know when to consult his superior for help or input in handling a matter. He must know when he is incompetent to handle a matter based on the schedule of work or power given him.
Going beyond the limit of one’s power, amounts to abuse of power. The appointing authorities have had to reprimand or sanction many leaders because of this offence. Leaders must learn to delegate duties, so that they will not be overburdened and will be able to handle most things effectively without abusing their power. Remember, a leader is nothing without the team behind him.
