Back to the topic of today.
Peace at home is something many people wish to have but not everyone really has peace at home. Some homes are like mini-hell. Fight and misunderstanding are also part of the family. They're even used to shouting at themselves. This should not be but unfortunately this is the reality of some families.
The problem of peace at home first of all starts as an individual problem. Inner peace is something that determines who you are in every expression of life. Who you are at home will determine who you'll be at work, church and even with friends in your social circle. When you already have a conflict with your inner self, it becomes inevitable that you become a person that promotes or cause unrest outside.
As a father or mother, what you express within the four walls of your home is what your children will absorb and ultimately express outside the home. Under your family climate, it is very important to have peace. A peaceful father and a peaceful mother will raise up peaceful children.
For example, we live in a society where everyone is angry on a default, everyone is just tensed up and unnecessarilyean at everyone, this is like a report card of what happens at home. The family is a production house to the society. What you do at home is undoubtedly going to reflect in the society at large. Everyone out there causing the society problems, came out from a family.
As much as desire a better society, we must start by raising up emotionally intelligent children that'll be emotionally matured and intelligent enough to relate with others. When we have at least 90 percent of emotionally intelligent people in the society, the society will be peaceful at large.
How do we go about peace in the family especially in family where both partners have different preferences.
You have to be emotionally intelligent. This consists of how you feel, how your partner feels, what to say when your partner is angry, what to do when the atmosphere is tense, how to react to objections from your partner. Things like this must be deliberately considered. When your partner is angry, there are some words that shouldn't be used at that time because it's more like adding fuel to an already burning house. This will cause more havoc. You should also learn how communicate effectively in such a way that your partner doesn't find it offensive. There's a way you can present an issue that'll resolve it in little time. This is where communication comes in. Communication is very necessary to keep the family peaceful.
When you have children, for there to be peace between you and your child, you'll need to be very flexible and diplomatic. That is, you should be very flexible enough to switch from being a parent to being a friend. You should learn to do this as the situation demands. The teenage years of a child are likely the most tumultuous years where there's bound to be clashes of interest. You have to learn to be flexible. You should learn not to attack the child or else he'll become secretive an dwhen this happens, there's little or nothing you can do about this.
I'll stop here because I don't want this article to be too long.
Have a nice day and a great weekend. Bye for now.
A home should be a place where someone can rest or find comfort from the stress of the world cause sometimes some people face a lot and come home which is their happy place to just ease their mind from that.
