Article 3 of the 1987 Philippine Constitution… “freedom of speech”. It is often highlighted in today’s era that we are enjoying freedom of speech just about in any form. Forums, groups, communities, social media, et. Al, name it and it is all written there! But do we really know the meaning of it?

Philippine election is really fast approaching and… all too many people severed ties because of the differences of Presidential candidates. To think these are people build years and memories of friendship only to end up broken because of small conflict that is raised exponentially. Well, it’s all a choice but sad because people can no longer build good argument or give a very well logical opinion about the platforms presented by each candidate which I was really hoping it will be. I am naturally very neutral and unfortunately I saw a feed on FB, one prominent man who I thought to be a gentleman but… sad! He folded. Suddenly flipped to the other side of the world where I was so shocked to know that, wow! He was making posts calling for “electoral education”, and basically his background in politics is very limited! So, I naturally reacted because it was really uncalled for! Why would you conduct an “electoral education” to educate people when your political background is very limited and worst, its with a fee? Like, he is charging people so he can campaign for his candidate and call it “electoral education”, digging more holes on people's pocket? No! I can’t help but react, because this is upfront “fraud”. I presented my rebuttals, of course, l conceal his identity since he is a prominent person with influence. I was trying to protect his identity despite and now he was playing “victim” announcing it on the feeds. He lured people to believe he is right, and influence people to vote for this candidate and even published articles on all the cases against other candidates. On the contrary, I published posts to prove him wrong because its not right. To only present “half-baked” facts is not good and its “null and void” in any other courts and he didn’t know that? I mean, what right does he have to influence people on who to vote or worst, dictate, when he’s information is limited. To even conduct “electoral education” based on his limited knowledge on how to run a government is truly an overstep and insult to the rank and file employees. And when all his claims were negated, he now bully common friends with his minions on his side, bullying, insulting, blackmailing. All the more I publish very strong statements for him because, as he was exercising his “freedom of speech” he is also stepping on our “right to freedom of expression and right to correct information” because he facts were not at all facts. It is not “freedom of speech” anymore, its overlapping or overstepping other rights. It misuse and abuse. While you protect yours, you definitely have no right to disseminate wrong information. This is how lowly people are these days! This is a man with title and influence, and he is coercing people to think like he does. Using influence to manipulate subordinates is an absolute abuse of power. Though he is successful, its really very unbecoming for him to do so!

He is entitled to his opinion while others are too! We all have equal rights and should not be overstepped just because he feels like he is entitled. No! That is absolutely not right. We all have the responsibility to correct and not become like them. So, we correct while we can. Thank u.

I agree, sometimes Freedom to talk about the truth means a revolt to other people and always can ruin someone. Sometimes I am questioning what is the truth
