Sunny flags
The sun is life. People have always been aware of the invaluable importance of the sun and the fact that without the sun there is no existence. As long as the sun shines on us, we will be the inhabitants of the earth. A large number of world flags with the illustrated sun on them speak of the sun awareness of people. It is interesting that the illustrations are different, as well as the perception of the sun from the perspectives of different peoples around the world.
Through my research work, I collected data from my home library, on all flags that contain the symbol of the sun, and I will write about them below.
Argentina
The flag of Argentina consists of three fields of equal size. The middle field is white, and the upper and lower fields are blue. Blue symbolizes the sky, and white the rivers. In the middle of the flag is the sun. The sun represents the rise of the people of Argentina. The sun has a human face and symbolizes peace and tranquility. It is known that the sun on this flag is called the "May sun" after the May Revolution, and accordingly it symbolizes independence.
Uruguay
The flag of Uruguay has the same "May sun" as the flag of Argentina. The flag consists of four white and blue horizontal stripes and a white field in the upper left corner, with the yellow sun in the middle. The sun symbolizes a new nation. The Uruguayan nation could boast of democracy, quality of life and prosperity.
Ecuador
The flag of Ecuador is very interesting. It was created after the meeting of the Ecuadorian revolutionary Francisco Miranda with Johann Wolfgang Goethe. Goethe told Miranda: "Your destiny is to make your country a place where colors are not corrupted." Miranda put three colors on the flag, yellow, which symbolizes fertile land, blue, which symbolizes the ocean and the sky, and red, which symbolizes the fight for freedom. In the middle is the coat of arms, and there is the sun as a symbol of life, as well as other symbols. At the top is a condor, a symbol of power, and at the bottom an ax a symbol of dignity. And of course the olive branch, as a symbol of victory.
Malawi
The flag of the African state of Malawi consists of three horizontal fields of the same size, in three colors. Black color represents the skin color of the population, red the struggle for independence and green the nature. The sun symbolizes hope and freedom. The sun also means that it is a warm country, sometimes called the βwarm heart of Africaβ.
Rwanda
The flag of Rwanda consists of three horizontal fields. Blue symbolizes peace and happiness, yellow economic development, green hope. The yellow sun symbolizes enlightenment.
Niger
The flag of the African state of Niger consists of three horizontal fields in three colors. Orange symbolizes the Sahara desert, white rivers and purity, green fertile land and hope. The sun is orange and symbolizes independence.
Malaysia
The flag of the Asian state of Malaysia is known as the "Line of Glory" and the sun on this flag has 14 rays and represents the unity of 14 entities.
Philippines
The Philippines, my favorite Asian country, consists of two horizontal fields between which is a triangle. The blue field symbolizes peace, truth and justice, the red patriotism and diligence, and the white triangle equality. On the white triangle is the yellow sun, a symbol of freedom, democracy and independence, and each ray of sunshine represents one of the eight provinces. At the corners of the triangle are three stars, symbols of the three main Philippine islands.
Japan
Japan has the simplest flag in the world and consists of a white field and a red circle in the middle. The red circle represents the rising sun, which is why this country is sometimes called the "land of the rising sun".
Bangladesh
The flag of Bangladesh consists of a red circle on a green background. Green is a symbol for vegetation and the red circle symbolizes the sun rising over Bangladesh, but also the struggle for independence.
Nepal
Another interesting flag of the country with the highest mountain peaks, Nepal, is the only flag in the world that has one right angle on it. It consists of two connected triangles. Red symbolizes courage and the rhododendron flower, one of the symbols of the country, while blue is a symbol of peace. The triangles are believed to represent the peaks of the Himalayas but also the two religions Buddhism and Hinduism. The sun symbolizes the hope that Nepal will live as long as the sun.
Kyrgyzstan
The flag of Kyrgyzstan consists of a red background that symbolizes courage and the yellow sun with 40 rays, a symbol of peace and health. In the sun, there is a red circle through which the lines that represent the top of the "yurt", the types of tents and symbolize the family, go. The rays of the sun symbolize 40 Kyrgyz tribes united in the fight against the Mongols.
North Macedonia
The flag of Northern Macedonia consists of yellow and red colors that are traditional for this country. The yellow sun with eight rays represents the "new sun of freedom".
Nauru
The flag of the island nation of Nauru consists of a blue base that symbolizes the Pacific Ocean, a yellow stripe that symbolizes the equator and the sun is white. Each ray of the sun represents one tribe in the state. The name of the country in translation means "I'm going to the beach".
Kiribati
Another island nation of the Pacific, Kiribati, has one of the most beautiful flags featuring a flying bird and symbolizes freedom and the sun with seventeen rays representing the islands that make up the territory of the state. The blue color symbolizes the ocean.
Marshall Islands
The flag of the Marshall Islands consists of a blue background that symbolizes the ocean, two ribbons that symbolize the equator, orange twilight and courage, and white dawn and peace. The sun has 4 big rays and 24 small ones, and all together they represent the areas of the state and the 4 biggest cultural centers.

Thank you very much for your time.
Wherever you go, around the world, the sun will follow you.
Your topic is creative and fun to read. I had never taken into consideration the sun on flags, i think i noticed it once but thats about it. I did however check on moon flags like Turkey and Pakistan flags in details. Nice article and have a good day. Marshall Islands did remind me of Marshall as the rapper shady or eminem as well.
