How to prepare for war?
Today I was struck by the question of whether I should prepare for war and how to do it. I don't even know how I found myself in this issue, but here I am, overwhelmed with thoughts of war because of the news my country's national television is bombarding my people with these days. They say that some kind of war can be expected in my country in September. Wait a minute. September?! That's in a few weeks. So what should I do? How to prepare for a potential war?
This issue is not something that is thought about every day, you have to admit, nor it is a favorite topic for discussion, but one never knows what danger is lurking around the corner, and perhaps it is good to be prepared even for such unpleasant and terrible situations such as war. But can we prepare for war?
When I heard the news about the potential war, confusion arose in my head. That would be my third war. Do I need to buy groceries, such as flour, oil, sugar, and salt? Will I even be able to prepare food? Will we be hungry? Should I research shelter locations and secure a place for myself and my family? Or maybe it's better to travel abroad to some friends or relatives? Or should I simply wait at home? With poison in hand? Just kidding. π But maybe I shouldn't be kidding. π I don't know what to think. I am confused.
This year has not started well when it comes to wars. We are all witnesses of current war situations. We are part of that reality and war is all around us, whether we want to believe it or not, and that's why it's good to be prepared but not to panic and get overwhelmed. Since I almost panicked, I did some research and found out what we, civilians, can do when it comes to preparing for war. I will share it with you, although I don't want you to ever need it.
Keep money and documents safe
Prepare personal documents and their copies, credit cards as well as money in a place you can consider safe. It can be a waterproof bag. Money can solve a lot of things and that is why it is one of the most important things to prepare.
Get your flashlight ready
There are various types of flashlights, even those with SOS signals. This can always be needed and spare batteries and light bulbs should also be stored. You never know what will happen, but you must have means of signaling so that others can find you more easily and help you if necessary.
Buy basic groceries
Wars are accompanied by shortages, so it's good to have a supply of food so you don't end up in a situation where you're hungry. In addition to basic foods such as flour, oil, salt, and sugar, you should also buy everything that is packaged and can immediately solve the hunger issue. Chocolates - why not?
Prepare spare clothes and underwear
One pair of spare clothes may be needed in wartime. And a blanket, so you don't freeze somewhere who knows where.
Have personal hygiene products and medicines handy
It may not matter to you whether you are clean or how you smell during the war, but have personal hygiene products as well as medicines and a first aid kit handy because health always comes first, even in the worst conditions.
Stay informed and in touch
Always be informed about everything that is happening and try to have a few means of communication, mobile phones, and chargers.
Think about your move
You should always have an option where to go. You should know where the shelters are in your city and whether there is a need to plan to escape to another city or abroad.
In conclusion
I hope this article has inspired you to learn what measures we can take to improve our safety in emergencies. I also hope that we will never need these measures and that September will pass peacefully in my country. The media often spreads fear and panic, but the reality is much different. However, it should be taken into account that wars are unfortunately a part of our reality and that due to great tensions, every scenario is possible.
Thank you very much for reading.

It is impossible to prepare for war! You can't take everything with you anyway. But there is a chance to survive if you run from bomb shelter to bomb shelter, but that's not an option! You might get killed even there. Defectors, for example, who will bring explosives there. No shower, damp, cold, disease... The only chance (if you have not been killed yet) is to do all the things you listed in your article and + leave!!!!!!! from the combat zone and wait there. There are no other options!!! Bombs and missiles are half the problem. Shooting is only 10% of the war. The rest is murder, rape, mockery, human shielding, etc. all that violates human law! How do you escape this? With personal hygiene products? With water? If you are not going anywhere, then arm yourself! Although this, too, may not save your life and the lives of your loved ones! Once again, if you can, leave. Or better yet, fight for your life and freedom!!!
