Time is Relative

Are you the type who loves watching movies or the type who loves reading books be it novels or you are a philomath who enjoys reading and writing academic books.

Perhaps you might be the type who is so passionate about a certain sport or game that whenever you are playing such game or viewing a match game nothing else matters in the world while the game or sport last.

Or you are a person who enjoys playing musical instruments or singing. Or perhaps you are dancer whose body can't resist but to dance when the music is being turned on

Whatever it is you enjoying doing. There is something that we all would agree to and that is;

Whenever we spend hours doing something we love to do or enjoy. Hours always feels like seconds and we don't care about time.

I can see you are nodding your head in affirmation. I know a lot of people who love football either watching the game or going out to play it, that they would skip their meals because of it.

Relativity

According to Albert Einstein, ok ok.. before you think I am here to lecture you about physics and the theory of relativity (haha) no I am not.

I doubt there is anyone who hasn't heard about Einstein before. I believe he must be the most renowned scientist in the world or in history.

Albert Einstein came up with two theories; the theory of general relativity and theory of special relativity. These theories came up in the 1920s and it shook the whole physics world or perhaps the whole science community

A lot of people found it difficult to understand it and most especially the laymen who were not scientist. While the buzz and razzmatazz continued about Einstein discovery. A lot of people and journalist wanted Einstein to explain and simplify the theory.

One day someone asked Einstein to summarize the principle of relativity into two sentences. Einstein laughed, he knew it was impossible to summarize long pages of scientific work into few sentences.

So made a joke to simplify things. He said

If you step on hot coals for a second, it would seem like you have been on it for hours. But if you spend an hour with a beautiful lady it would seem like you have just spent a second.

Everyone laughed, well actually what Einstein said was very true despite being so hilarious.

Same when you're doing something you enjoy. You barely noticed of the time spent or that has gone.

For instance students get bored in a class that is over one hour. Especially in a class that is not interactive. But the same set of students can stand watching a football match of 90 minutes without feeling fatigue. Or they can spend hours playing arcade games without complaining.

In conclusion

Life is not always bed of roses, so sometimes we might to do some things we do not enjoy doing but are very important to our survival, because we don't enjoy doing them doesn't mean we should neglect them.

We should learn to do our duty as when due.

Hello, I mostly like to enjoy movies. Sometimes reading novels can be boring. So I mostly like to watch action movies.

That's a really funny quote by Albert Einstein but it also explains the theory.

There are a lot of thing I do presently and I ask myself the big question of why I do themโ€ฆ. When you know the later effect it keeps us going even though we hate what we do and I could relate perfectly even in school.. when we start to enjoy is when weโ€™ve labored

I can relate to this especially I have noticed that when I listen to a lecturer whose lecture is interacting and interesting, I wouldn't know when two hours has been completed until he or she says "have a good day". This was because I enjoyed the Lecture.

The Albert.E words is very true words but it seems like itโ€™s jokes. As for the students sometimes students donโ€™t enjoy whatโ€™s profitable to them (Lectures) and they prefer watching movies or sport than lectures. We have to do our duties to survive.

Yes Allboy, because we have fun doing it does not mean we should blacklist important things that might seem boring.

I prefer to do all of them a little bit instead of a single activity, but I think what I do most is watching a football match. I don't have much time to watch movies these days. The example was good, I promise my nephew 3 hours of computer games in exchange for 1 hour of study and he negotiates to increase the playing time and shorten the study time. Moreover, he is only 9 years old.
