Yesterday as I was scanning channels on the television looking for a good watch movie or show. A title of a movie caught my attention, and when I read its preview, it's a true to life story about "The Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson".

: Movie Overview

A 2019 thriller true-crime film is based on one of the most controversial murders recorded in America. It is about the death of Nicole Brown Simpson, the ex-wife of the former professional National Football League player O.J Simpson who got stabbed and slashed. O.J Simpson was accused to be the suspect but was acquitted because a serial killer was responsible for it.

: Nicole Brown Simpson's Biography

Born on May 19, 1959, was married to O.J Simpson from 1985 to 1992. A mother of two children, Sydney and Justin.

: Relationship with OJ Simpson

The two met in 1977 when Nicole was working as a waitress at a Beverly Hills private club called "The Daisy" when she was 18 years old. OJ Simpson was still married to his first wife, Marguerite but still pursued Nicole and they started dating. OJ and his first wife divorced two years after (March 1979) Nicole and OJ dated.

5 years after OJ Simpson's retirement from professional football, the couple got married on February 2, 1985.

However, the marriage only lasted for 7 years. In the 7 years of marriage, they had 2 children namely: Sydney (1985) and Justin (1988)

During their 7 years of marriage, OJ Simpson physically abused her. Nicole Brown called 9-1-1 numerous times but they only arrested OJ once after he turned himself in 1989. Nicole Brown dropped the charges after her father neglected her and refused to help instead he pushed her to reconcile with the superstar because the former football player arranged him with a lucrative Hertz dealership.

Nicole Brown decided to give up on her marriage and filed a divorce on February 25, 1992. It was stated on the reason for irreconcilable differences. However, they got back together months later. In fact, during the trial of O.J Simpson, it was revealed that Nicole Brown called 9-1-1 on October 25, 1993, crying and telling the officer that OJ Simpson is going to beat her tremendously. Nicole Brown was secretly recorded by a police officer citing the abusive act OJ has done to her.

: Her Death

After the divorce, Nicole Brown lived at 875 South Bundy Drive in Brentwood, Los Angeles, California together with her two children. Around 10 pm on June 12, 1994, Nicole Brown was stabbed and slashed to death by an unknown killer outside her home along with her guy friend, Ron Goldman, a 25-year-old restaurant waiter.

Their bodies were found just after midnight when her neighbors noticed the unending bark and cry of her dog outside. They were found lying in a fetal position with a pool of blood. In an autopsy, it was determined that Nicole Brown was stabbed 7 times in her neck and scalp.

She also had a 14-cm long or 5.5 inches slash across her throat which she got a severe and deep wound leaving to be almost decapitated. She also has defensive wounds on her hands.

Nicole Brown's funeral was held on June 16, 1994, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Brentwood, Los Angeles, California with the mourners including OJ Simpson and their children, members of Nicole Brown's family, and close friends of Nicole Brown. She was buried in the Ascension Cemetery in Lake Forest, California.

: Aftermath

OJ Simpson was determined to be the primary suspect of the crime. After following their story, who wouldn't have thought about it? When he was informed by the police about the death of his ex-wife, his first reaction was "Who killed her?". Like seriously? You're more curious about who did it to her and not shocked about what happened?

OJ Simpson was on trial for the murders of Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman. However, in October 1995, 8 months after the public trial, he was acquitted. The public had various reactions to the case. Some said that he's innocent as the evidence does not fit his profile. Others would say he's guilty because of his criminal history against Nicole Brown before.

In 1996, the judge granted OJ Simpson's petition for the full custody of Sydney and Justin. However, Nicole Brown's parents fought to their deaths to win the custody but were still unsuccessful.

: What happened to the townhouse of Nicole Brown?

It took two years for the townhouse to get a new owner. It was empty after the deaths of Brown and Goldman. The owner remodeled it thoroughly and has the address changed.

: Who's The Killer?

Nicole Brown met a guy in the neighborhood whom she asked to do painting and carry stuff in her house. The guy introduced himself as Glen. As seen in the movie, the guy looks very suspicious. He looks good but has a dangerous aura. Days went by when Nicole and Glen got along with each other as they talk about their problems and soon ends up having sex.

Nicole got up in bed when she heard a strange sound in the kitchen. She went there to find out Glen talking to himself as if he's talking with someone elsewhere.

As soon as Glen noticed Nicole, he tried to attack her. Nicole herself up and Glen went fugitive.

The authorities recognized Glen as "The Cross Country Killer" or "The Casanova Killer". He's an American serial killer whose full name is Glen Edward Rogers.

He's known for his nickname as the Cross Country Killer because he's a drifter moving from one state to another to commit crimes. He's attracted to tall girls with blonde hair.

He was the one responsible for the death of Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman. In his interview, he denied killing Nicole and Ron. He mentioned a name Charlie who's done it for him.

The authorities claimed that Glen Edward Rogers or The Casanova Killer has killed over 70 people.

As of now, Glen Rogers is currently detained and is on death row.

His brother presented himself to the authorities saying that his brother confessed to him killing Brown and Goldman.

Here's a short documentation of the case to sum it all:

I will make a full article of Glen Edward Rogers next to this.

As for Sydney and Justin, what happened to them? How are they now? Stay tuned for my next articles.
