My Takeaway on Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (Kdrama Series)

I heard about this series months ago because I believe this is a comeback drama of Shin Min-A? I'm not really sure about it though. I have watched her series entitled "Tomorrow With You" released in 2017 too, it's a story about her lover who travels through time. You should watch that too.

I must admit that Shin Min-a is one f my biases in the Korean showbiz world. She hasn't aged over the years! About her leading man, I'm not that familiar with Kim Seon Ho though.

With regards to the supporting casts, they're all great. I'm sure they have made a great bonding while filming because they come out naturally on screen.

So here are the lessons I have pondered while and after watching the series:

Some things go beyond our control.

When an unfortunate event happens, we can't help ourselves to question and think about the what-ifs and could've beens. I believe it's normal for us to think that because who wouldn't want bad things to happen, right?

Then again, we should not think that it's our fault. We shouldn't blame ourselves for what happened and forgive ourselves. We can't live our lives full of regrets and get imprisoned by our dark pasts.

Even if we do our best to not let things happen, if it's meant to happen, it will happen. Not all things don't go in our desired ways.

Learn to compromise and be sensitive to other people's feelings.

There's a married couple in the series who got divorced because of misunderstandings and conflicts. It seemed like they don't share the same ideas in any aspect of their lives.

As the series goes along, it shows how the husband takes his wife for granted. It is because he got used to her presence so he got so insensitive with everything and did not even consider his wife's feelings.

It is a reminder that each of us has its limitations, anyone can get tired, anyone can reach their boiling points. We should learn to compromise and meet the other person halfway.

Live our lives to the fullest.

What makes my heart so warmed is because of the 3 grandmas in the cast. They have created a special taste of the film that made it extraordinary and touching. You will see how they're enjoying their old ages and they make sure that everything is memorable.

This is to remind us that we should maximize our time by spending it on the ones who we truly cherish. We should make the most of our time by creating good memories with the people whom we feel safe around us.

Show your pain to someone you feel safe with.

A character in the series has a dark past. He is having nightmares every time he sleeps. He is like a prisoner of his past that he has no one to share his pain with.

As much as possible, we shouldn't bottle up our emotions. Guilt and regrets will eat you up. It will make you depressed, it steals one's life. It is best to have someone with whom you are sharing your problems to comfort you.

Tell your true intentions to the person you have feelings with before it's too late.

Expressing one's feelings to a person is not bad. What makes it harder for the person to tell it is because of the outcome or reaction of the other person after. It's valid to be afraid knowing that a friendship might be broken or something will end if you say so.

However, you can't just hide your true feelings to someone. What if that person also has feelings for you? So you both end up waiting for each other's move feeling stagnant? I mean, you got nothing to lose when you express your feelings. At least you did or else you'll regret it for the rest of your life and you realize that it's too late.

Dating is best when you take things slowly.

This is kind of contradictory to the statement above. Physical attraction sets the tone towards crushing on someone. How will you know a person is truly kind or bad when you just met them? Getting to know each other takes time. So as with dating, it's best to know the person well for you to learn about each other. That way, you'll know how far can you adjust and if your personalities are a match.

Family doesn't necessarily need to be blood-related.

Anyone can be your family. If you feel connected to that person and truly care for each other, you should consider each other as family.

In this series, the neighborhood became Chief Hong's family after losing his loved ones. They have established a strong bond in the neighborhood and they consider each other as shoulders to lean on.

Be kind to everyone. You'll never know the silent battles they're dealing with.

You shouldn't judge a person right away because of their decisions. There must be a reason why they did that. You should give them the benefit if the doubt.

I would rate the series as 8/10. It's a feel-good movie but full of lessons to learn. Must watch ❤

Yan lang nagpa excite ng weekends ko dati at nagpangiti sa akin bago matulog 😍 SMA & KSH are both my biases. Napanood ko si KSH sa Start up and I liked him since then. Si SMA naman, from My Girlfriend is a Gumiho (you should watch that too). Nung una nanood ako because of my 2 biases, but eventually liked the entire cast. Lahat sila may life lessons eh. Haays missing HTCCC 🥺

The movie has a great lesson that everyone must know. Be kind to everyone because we don't know what that person's into.
