"You can't talk peace and have a gun" - Francis M

There's a trending news all over Philippines regarding a police officer who got into a fight with an elderly woman and her son that led the officer to shot them both. Even in front of his (officer's) daughter. Brutal killing as what some describe it. The tragic incident was clearly recorded by a witness.

This isn't a news or anything. For people from the Philippines, I'm sure you've already watched the raw video of this incident. People are shocked and many people hates the daughter for her disrespectful attitude. People are shocked with the officer's violence.

They had an argument about a boga (an improvised cannon to used as a noisemaker during new year) which heated up abruptly. The police officer's daughter yelled "My father is a policeman!" And the 52 year old lady answered "I don't care eh eh eh eh" mocking the child. The police officer then yell and cursed the old lady and shot her then her son then shot them both again when they were lying in the ground.

The line "I don't care eh eh eh eh eh" came from one of the 2NE1's songs "I don't care" which was very popular and loved but now it became a tragic song which lyrics are the last words a 52 year old woman said before she was killed by a brutal police officer.

The tragedy made both families spend Christmas so sorrowful and regretful. Both of the families surely has regret and both wished it never turned out the way it did.

The family of the victims mourn for their 2 family members that are killed. The police officer's family will have to spend the Christmas with the head of their family in jail for double murder, their daughter being bashed and shamed. Surely there will be a huge impact to the girl psychologically. Trauma, depression, I don't know. But I'm sure she feel sad with what the people are saying about her.

She might not be good girl according to the video but she's still a child. Her parent's are supposed to be guiding her. It's her parents' fault and failure. The police officer did not only killed two people but also he hurt her daughter. He had all the chance to tell her to go home and don't meddle. But instead he let her minor daughter to stay and witness the incident. Though the girl didn't seem to be shocked by the gun shots, we never know what thoughts she has.

Police officers are supposed to be the peacemakers. But he was quite the opposite in this tragic incident. No matter how they talk to him or his daughter, he still has no right to kill them.

What're the lessons in this tragedy? Yes, as for me there are lessons in this tragedy.

Just like what the legend musician Francis M states in one of his lyrics, "You can't talk peace and have a gun". Kill your ego and not someone. Peace is better than killing.

Teach your children to be respectful and not mingle on adults' issues. I also don't think it's appropriate to let your child see how disrespectful you are towards the elderly or any other individual. Let your child witness respect and be a good example. No matter how mad you are, unless the circumstances threatens you and/or your family's life, you should never shoot innocent people just because you got offended.

I pray for the two victims, may they rest in peace. I hope justice for them. I also pray for the family of the deceased, may they be strong enough to surpass this tragic. May they be given the justice they deserve. I pray for the girl. I hope she learned her lesson too.

Let's all be aware that every life in this planet is important and should be cherished. Let's not be the one to end innocent people's lives. It's also the holiday season. More love less hate.

This gun article provides valuable information about the technology and use of firearms. For those interested in improving their shooting capabilities, I highly recommend checking out the night vision products available at https://www.agmglobalvision.com/night-vision. Combining a quality firearm with advanced night vision technology can greatly improve accuracy and efficiency in low light conditions. This is a worthwhile investment for any serious shooter.

I watched this while contemplating. It seems understandable that some individuals are against the idea of arming high school instructors since there is a risk involved. They believe that introducing firearms around children violates the armament policy and increases the likelihood of children being habituated to firearms. Visit https://johnnyholland.org/2022/10/5-reasons-why-teachers-should-carry-guns-in-school/ to know the 5 reasons why teachers should carry guns in school. Even while their objections are reasonable and their worries are justified, we must acknowledge that shootings already occur and that more are probably on the horizon.

I did not dare watching it because I really don't want those rude and brutal scenes but my brother told us how the heartless policeman killed the mother and son. And I also saw it the news last night, this kind of people do not deserve any respect at all. I hope that justice will be given to the bereaved family and that the government will not settle it or whatsoever.

I watched the video in my sons' phone and i was shocked at first but upon watching it again. There are two flaws in the video. Both sides. The daughter of the police which is so maldita and disrespectful with his father not minding her daughter meddling with elders at nakipagsabunutan pa. My blood rised when i realize she's the one who triggered her father when she proudly told the old lady that her father is a "Foolishman" .

The other are the victims. In any case, may it be police or not basta may baril, you should set aside your ego because if you don't value your life, please think that there are others who will be affected pag yang may baril ay may topak papatay at papatay yan. Lets look at the result as an evidence.

Foolishman... i thought i heard polishman 😆 just kidding... yeah they both have faults actually...

The foolishman was so full of pride and angas na wala s lugar... The bata was yes maldita... I wonder where was her mother during this time.

The two victims... If only they just apologized and didn't mock nalang. Kasi mas important pa din ang life nila. The son should have stopped na sana knowing that his mother was there. para nalang sana sa nanay niya.

But I'm not saying that justifies what the criminal foolishman did ha. I'm just saying sana naiwasan if atleast one side sa kanila nagset aside ng intense emotions.

Pero kahit na ba, dapat hindi pa din sila binaril. una palang nananakit na din talaga si officer dun sa babae na nakasabunutan nung anak niya...

If only lang noh sana walang namatay. Lessons learned to both parties. Condolence to the family of the victims. And i don't wish any harm to the child. But i do hope she regrets what she has done. Thought i'm pretty sure she will leave in hell under peoples' blazing eyes and critiscm. Maraming nabubulag sa kapangyarihan at galit. Pati yung bata nabulag sa kapangyarihan ng tatay nya.

I wonder where's the mother too.

I watched this and in my thoughts. The fact is that it's a provincial setting so that's one thing to look at. It's easy to hide dirt in the provinces but if you do that in manila, you'd be ruined even before you get the chance to escape. Besides that, police violence is somehow more normalized in provincial area, specially the ones away from the towns and cities

Because some of them think that people in the province are more easy to scare when it comes to authority/ power. It's in Tarlac. He surrendered himself, I think.

Yeah, they're easier to scare because they lack the knowledge of what their rights are (the citizens) only a few really know their rights so police violence got way too normalized

I know, right? I also pity the girl... yung daughter nung police. She has serious attitude problem din. And di naturuan... Dadalhin niya yan hanggang sa paglaki niya.. I feel sorry for her as well..

There's still a chance if she gets sent to a correctional facility and all. That or it's juvenile prison for her even if there is another parent available. It would be better that way

yes. BEcause clearly, they can't teach her and surely this has some kind of psychological impact on her. she may not even know it but it does.

And i do think she got too used to seeing her father shoot down people. She wasn't even bothered by what she saw while most people went ballistic

I wished I didn't watched the video. I don't want to see how disrespectful the girl in the video and how that police officer let his daughter to be involved in that issue. Instead of saying that his father is a police man it is much way better to be branded that her father is a good man. Rip to the victims and let's pray for the girl, I hope that people will forget what she did so that she can live and start a new life because we all know that God forgives her already.

She's just a girl. She's not to blame. Her parents are to blame. They failed to teach her manners. It's their responsibility.. It's their obligation. Not that what she did was okay. It's just that her mind isn't that matured yet. so is her age. And she wasn't taught well... If only she was taught well...
